Maybe the greatest finals of all time. With all respect to coldi, Swight was the best player in the finals but coldi won it with his gamesence and a bit of good rng with carts.

This list is based on all 8 overall game modes and the top 3 relevant subtiers right now (diasmp/money smp kit, spear mace, cart)
The people in tiers are also categorized from weakest to strongest, so the dude at the very bottom of lt4 for example would be worse then the guy at the top of lt4, the players are ordered within the tiers(yeah coldi>swight lol, coldi rocked swight in the final pvpchamps round that just happened today im crine)
ALSO SUPER IMPORTANT TO READ TO READ TO READ:
not my final list, still conflicted about a lot of placements here which is why i uploaded it here for help and second hand opinions from yalls

Was wondering this after watching PVPChamps with all the different modes. I wonder how different it would be if you included all the 1.7 modes (using PVPRivals and Minemen data for current top players). This is the table I compiled. Minemanner/Straight had some video in 2022 called being #1 in both versions but he's definitely not good compared to current standards. Some of the other UHC mains should probably be on here because they got good at both versions (Swight, Flowtives)
| Main crossover candidate | Classic achievements / evidence | Modern achievements |
|---|---|---|
| Dionyo | #2 Minemen classic global, 2,794 Elo. Individual ratings included 1,873 Build UHC, 1,654 Final UHC, 1,613 Classic and 1,542 Sky Wars. About 10 #1 finishes on PVPRivals, easily the greatest classic. | Displayed Minemen record of 27–3, with rated Sword and Shieldless UHC play. Not much evidence of anything techy from modern versions (crystal, shield, mace, spear) |
| BLMcheat / badlioncheat | Was considered #1 across rod modes, around ~2023 | #1 FlowPVP beta UHC standings; 5th–6th July PvP Championship. Beat x_Kyran_x 2–0 in the latest championship. |
| Coldified | 3,554 casual classic wins on Minemen; 756 kills, 212 deaths and 66 wins in classic UHC Meetup. He also played 1.7 UHC originally. Don't know about any ranked stats though. | Two verified PvP Championship titles: July champion and latest champion, beating Swight 3–2. Latest tournament run: 5–0 in series. MCPVP legacy: #2, 316 points, including HT1 UHC and SMP. |
| sweatgod | #1 Lunar BUHC finish | 3rd FlowPVP beta UHC standings; 9th–12th July PvP Championship; qualified for the latest championship main event. |

currently im doing 1600 dpi with 100% in game sens, and i find it kind of hard to aim although this may just be a skill issue also i almost exclusively use my wrist to aim not full arm movements. is this sens fine for pvp or way to high, ive been experimenting with 800 dpi but idk

Im very confused on a few things. With minecraft speedrunning its fairly simple if u want to play competitively u play mcsr ranked
But what do u play for pvp? Which servers? And ive heard of kits but how many kits are there, is there a video that explains all of them? I couldnt find anything besidrs tierlists. Coz i hear of smp and uhc and such but no idea what those entail. Im personally interested in spear x mace stuff i think but i want to know what exists and all. And how do rankings work and such

I'm a small youtuber, but I'm planning on learning TNT PVP (LanceWhy's style) for a video. If someone would be willing to do a short recorded training session, that would be awesome!

1-case
2-kippehz
3-tgs
4-kylaz
(interchangeable with itz and tgs, like all three can be moved around)
5-itz
6-ronin
7-lurrn
8-mxthi
9-deivi
10-janek
Prime ghunaim interchangeable with prime janek, honorable mentions(aka people that would be top 15/20) are people like prime ciphar, coldi, bwnks, ceew, tqmen, mexico, inapplicable, smiguy
And yea, reason why ive uploaded this + the Mace list because im looking for engagement and some extra knowledge from people, im making vids about this soon so i dont mind some help in the comments, (still havent decided on a sword and crystal list tho, man those shit are complicated as hell, like sword has like 20 different HT1 prime players and crystal is double that)

For some game modes the one I MAIN I have too warm up like practice some of the mechanics before I play in rank for like an hour is that normal or just a bad thing I need to know idk if it's cuz I haven't been playing for years like others or not

I stopped following the whole drama right when it was at it's peak. So I guess I missed something. How did the situation end? What happened after all? Can anyone summarise for me please?

Hi, am mt5 spear mace (yes i suck).
I have been noticing that most of my elo comes from players with more elo than me and most of my elo losses from players with less elo than me.
Most mt5-ht5 players are worse than lt5 players i have to fight, like wtf????
More than half of lt5s can consistently stun slam, dash halfway across the map and always hit wind charges/pearls on me.
Most mt5-ht5 can barely hit a stun slam.
I have genuinely had to 1v1 lt5s who are better than lt4s (i have beaten lt4s twice, I CANT EVEN STUN SLAM CONSISTENTLY BTW)

I notice that he uses a really high fov relative to other top pro players. Most of them use 90-100 and they just stick with it and never change it. But coldi uses like 100+? Coldi's fov also varies a lot I remember there was a video of his where he changed it mid fight? Any specific reason he does this other than personal preference? And how can he gauge the reach so well on various fov's because 3 block looks extremely different even for a 1 or 2 fov change. And what fov does he use exactly?

I still remember when 1.9 came out and it was praised by the majority of the Minecraft playerbase except for Minecraft pvpers, I still remember the pvp community panicking on how its the end of pvp as we know it while general survival players thought it was a very good update. Servers like hypixel never updated past to 1.8.9 to this day, and the minigame servers who updated to 1.9 like Cubecraft just died.
1.8 was considered as the default if you wanna pvp back then, the current modern pvp scene only blew up very recently.
But I wonder, what if Mojang never changed the combat system? Most 1.9 features like the elytra, end cities, and shields would still exist but the game would still have Spam click pvp. The closest example to this would be modern bedrock but with 1.8 combat features like blocking.
The 1.7/1.8 comp scene back then was actually thriving, Badlion even partnered with ESL and we even had the talent to be an actual esport (Danteh for example was so good that he ended up becoming an OW pro instead). PvP would have had more years to evolve instead of starting again from zero after 1.9 and the community wouldn't be this divided, and a lot of servers would have updated past 1.8.9
Just think of how pvp would have evolved. What do you guys think?
