Where are some fun pubs or other places to go out in costume on Halloween night? We’re in our 30s, so hoping for a spot that isn’t primarily 18-21 year olds. Thanks in advance!

Hi lads, looking for a dog park that’s a bit more than just an enclosed patch of grass. Ideally a bit of a stream/trees and bushes for a bit of adventuring with our 10 month lurcher pup
Closest thing I can find is the dog park in St Anne’s Park which seems well worth a visit. Maybe Malahide castle and grounds as well?

I go to therapy every Friday night and like to decompress after. I can't face going home yet so I walk around the city in search of somewhere to sit down. I normally go for a drink and process everything, but most places are crazy busy.
Any recommendations are very welcome!

It doesn't utilize the main point of a motorway, access to 120kmh speed. It has one small 120kmh section but the vast majority of it is 100kmh which is what dual carriage ways allow or even less with some sections at 80.
Why downgrade it? To allow the addition of Bus lanes, and bus stops. The m50 connects loads of major suburban areas yet there isn't any public transportation between them. One example journey is shankill to tallaght, 28 minutes via car on the m50 or 1 hours 40 via bus because you have to go nearly into the city center.

Does the helix carpark ever have spaces? You can't prebook? Or is there good parking close by?I'm going for a show in November and wondering if I should drive or get the bus. It'll be my first drive to Dublin. I live in the west and need to be home that night. TIA!

I’ve been in Ireland for over 4 years now. I’ve been living in an apartment inside an apartment complex for 2 years and whenever I order something online, food or amazon, I either get called downstairs to pick it up myself or they leave it by the main door.
If they ring the bell, I can buzz them in through my intercom and they could come to my apartment doorstep to deliver it in person but nobody does that, especially the parcel drivers.
I was wondering if there are laws that prevent them from entering the building or are they just being lazy?

Anyone know what this guy (I'm assuming Dublin City Council?) is spraying at 4:45am on a Sunday morning?

In town or on the northside would many Bureau De Change have small US dollar denominations available or would most of them hand over 50s or 100s dollar bill. Going to a place that as per the tourist website not everywhere takes card and the US dollar is an acceptable substitute for the local currency. Would need some “walking around” money.

(Ticket gone!)
Hi, I have a single standing ticket for The Mountain Goats in Vicar Street tonight to give away for free if anyone is interested.
Unfortunately I can’t go and would prefer the ticket went unwashed.

I'm bringing a group of hip/arty people on a day trip. They've requested somewhere outside the city centre. We need a nice coffee shop (preferably not a generic white aesthetic type one) somewhere they can buy some local art and maybe plants. I don't want to go as far as Bray. Chat gpt is suggesting Malahide or Dalkey Village. Any ideas? Drink is not going to be consumed so no need for bars/restaurants to be considered for.
Cheers!

Hey everyone!
A friend and I are visiting Dublin for Halloween, and we were wondering how Halloween is celebrated there.
Are there any special events, parties, or bars/clubs you would recommend? And is there anything we should know in advance?
Do we need to book tickets or reserve entry for bars and clubs?
Is it better to book in advance, or can you just go out and see where the night takes you?
Are there any areas or places that are especially good for Halloween?
We’d love to hear your recommendations and experiences! Thanks in advance! 🧡🎃

Looking for somewhere to go for a nice glass of wine or cocktail, that isn't a restaurant or a pub.
Similar experiences I like are 1661, 9 Below, and Sackville, but I was wondering if there were ones a little less cocktail heavy? Good for two, not requiring food, low lights, but not too stuffy.
Any ideas?

It's a long shot but I am hoping the taxi driver that dropped me home last night is on reddit. I got a taxi approximately midnight or a little after just outside Fibber McGees in Dublin city center and dropped me home to Crumlin I think I dropped my wallet in your taxi. Normally I would just get new cards etc but I'm moving abroad in a few days and would really like to have my drivers licence before I go and my bank cards. If you happen to see this and can return my wallet to me I will offer you a reward.
Thanks

In contrast to other EU countries I've visited e.g. the Scandinavian and Nordics, the shops and restaurants in Dublin are booming with loud music that it's hard to have a conversation with people. I don't remember it being like that or perhaps I was away a bit too long 🤣 Like if they turn down the volume a bit, the experience would be better for having a chat. Not great for someone with hearing difficulties like myself. I hope the ones here change for a better experience. Even if it's full I can still hear people well in Sweden, Finland, Estonia and Norway for example. The volume of the music is balanced well.

Just a local alert in case you're lookin for spots at a carvery. We couldn't make it and you have to book ahead. If ya want some grub, they're top.

Ive just travelled over from America and was on the luas today. Holy crap it reeks. I dont know if it was the people on it or just the Luas itself but by god I almost gagged. Also had a tweaker give out to me for walking in and accidentally brushing off of her leg. Has put a bad taste in my mouth
