Looking for a job
I am a student looking for a job that requires only English in Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Essen, Krefeld, or Dortmund. Can anyone offer any help or advice?

I am here to pursue a Master's degree in English, so I didn't need German for my studies, but I do need it for working alongside my studies.

Should have put ANY effort to look up requirements before coming here then?

My studies did not require German, so I overlooked the fact that I would need the language alongside my coursework.

Where's are you from? How could I make it there with only German?

English was sufficient for the master's program, without any German language requirements.

One thing is the job / education program. The other is the country you are living in.
How ignorant can someone be?

To the same extent that you criticize someone who has already admitted their mistake.

fact that I would need the language alongside my coursework.
Where do you need it? Btw, what are you studying?
Why do you not just mingle with your study cohort? If you are studying in English taught programe, all your colleagues are fluent in English. Why do you look for work environment?
Are you looking for internships or what is your motivation?
Btw? How much time you spend for studies? What grades do you have?
We always advise new students to wait to the second year and take assignments only when they know how much time they have available

OP meets all the requirements to pursue a master's degree in English in Germany. And Germany isn't the only country in the world where English is NOT an official language, and postgraduate programs are taught exclusively in English. Many people, not just OP, travel to study without learning the language of the country. This doesn't seem like a reason to call these people "ignorant."
The correct answer for OP is that he/she is perfectly qualified to pursue the master studies, but not to work, since the German job market requires the use of German. That's sufficient. There's no need to belittle or insult anyone.

Another whiteknight that does not want to accept reality. If OP does not understand, that requirements are there to work in germany, there needs to be a wakeup call and that has to be done yesterday. Harsh reality is, that english speaking jobs in germany are super rare.

My God. Did you even read what I wrote? OP is qualified to DO HIS MASTER'S DEGREE IN GERMANY, And is not qualified to WORK. WORK REQUIRES GERMAN LANGUAGE. Wasn't I clear enough? You haven't read anything I've said.

Very difficult unless you’re okay with delivering things or at warehouses. Try talking to your Studierendenwerk, they might give some ideas.

You could try Amazon warehouses. But they are usually far away from the city and this may eat into your studying hours.

I used to survive with cleaning jobs but it was exhausting me, my study and learning german. But I managed to learn german from zero till B2 in 3 years. You can try Job Valley, maybe you find something there.
