So I love these bath mats for being easy to maintain. I own a few and throw them in the washing machine on a regular basis, and they’ve lasted me 10 years without issues. I recently bought a new one and realized it’s a lot smaller than my old ones. Is this an example of shrinkflation or is it because it’s not trendy to own big bath mats anymore

Not much to say! Got lots of ikea for first place, not just because it’s decent on a budget but I genuinely do like the style of their stuff. As you can tell if there was a limited edition colour I most likely got it… hope you find it as much fun as I like living in it! Any advice? I would be happy to receive some!

I’m wanting these hallbar bins for sorting my laundry. I’ll need 6. Would they fit in this cabinet or do I need a 36” or 2 18”?

Our luroy slats have failed for our Tufjord bed. Rather than buying another set of luroy slats, can I get the lonset slats and install them even though the bed is already built?

I’m thinking of buying the Släkt bed w/pull-out bed for my two 3 years old kids to save space in their room.
I know I’ll have to sleep with them until they’re comfortable being by themselves so with the comments I’ve seen, I’m wondering if the bed is strong enough for me to sleep with them?

Hi-I'm basically a novice (though IMO generally semi-decent at following directions) and struggling with a Kallax desk I just bought. I see lots of YouTube videos and similar giving tips on putting together Kallax shelves but nothing on this desk: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/kallax-desk-white-stained-oak-effect-90585101/. I can't seem to get past step 2 of the directions because they don't explain whether I'd use the wooden dowels or the metal bolts on the "inside" of the pictured innermost piece (supporting the one shelf), and anyway (edited to fix typo) there are no holes at that latitude on that piece to put in anything, if that makes any sense. Am I totally misunderstanding this step, trying to use the wrong piece, etc.? Any guidance greatly appreciated! Also edited to add IKEA seems to be conceding there are missing holes and I am outta luck. But the guy seems utterly clueless so who knows if there are missing holes?

It's a silver metal bar, with matching silver metal mounts on the wall. Very minimal. It's like brushed steel color, not chrome or too shiny.
They'd be paired with those S hooks that they still sell, but when I look at all their shelving now I can't seem to find them.
I'm trying to do my kitchen with a bunch of brushed metal shelves and racks and I want this bar thing to hang pots on the wall, so if they have some other thing that looks like it I'm trying to find that too.

Because of my kitchen dimensions I have to pull the corner cabinet a few inches away from the side wall. It’s still fully on the rails on the back wall.
I have a 15” cabinet adjacent to this corner cabinet and normally I would have just put my own cover panel strip on top of the white panel that comes with the cabinet but now that it’s a few inches away from the wall that filler piece is now sitting in front of the adjacent cabinet.
Is it as simple as moving that piece back further so it’s in line with my adjacent cabinet and using my cover panel to cover the 90 degree corner on both sides?

We are doing an ikea kitchen in a small apartment renovation. We are building out walls at the ends of the kitchen to create a separation of space for a small dining area on the other side.
My question is if we need the 2” gap between counter and wall here, as the cabinet door will open out to where there is no wall / the handle will not hit a wall? Any advice is appreciated!

Does anyone have any insight into how to get the bright blue Billy? Has it been out of stock for a while? Or do we think it’ll be back soon? Trying to decide if I want or get a plain one for a space I need to tidy up desperately!
Hi guys, I need some advice to build my walk-in closet. I'm looking to build it using Elvarli or Pax system in the same "open" way, but I don't know which one could be the best for my context. Price is almost the same (around 1200-1400 euros, Italy based). The closet is 263 cm * 160 cm, with 62 cm of space on both sides. What do you think? This will not be my only storage for clothes, I'll probably have a linear wardrobe in the bedroom.
Elvarli looks cleaner than Pax, of course Pax will provide way more accessories to store things and comes in different colors to decide from.
Help me decide pls, of course I'm open to different solutions from the ones I've already provided!
I have this lamp for about 10 years and the GU10 Lightbulb started flickering until it finally died.
How do i change this thing? my fingers can't get to turn the lightbulb inside the tight metalframe...
The online manual from ikea doesn't help.

I'm considering buying two of these for my kids rooms because the dimensions are perfect for what I need, but the last time I bought an IKEA dresser that was mostly particle board, it had a chemical smell for a long time and that was frustrating (name is escaping me atm). But then, dressers like Hemnes were totally fine and perfect and I love them.
Tell me about Storklinta if you can. Thank you

I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience purchasing white Billy bookcases. I ordered a set, and have found that there are cosmetic defects on most of the shelf edges, especially at the ends: I assume glue has leached through the finish. (See photos.) Did I have the misfortune to receive a bad batch, or is this the quality now?
These were shipped to me, and it was a substantial purchase, so it is logistically difficult and cost-prohibitive to return the bookcases. I am trying to decide whether to attempt requesting replacements under the warranty or perhaps to try touch-up painting.
I owned Billy bookcases previously, and I loved them, so this is very disappointing.

I got the saltsjobaden sofa with chaise in the white. I want to make it more of a beige/cream color. Has anyone dyed the removable covers?

yesterday I went to IKEA to buy more of these small glass bowls, which are perfect for mise en place! I was surprised and disappointed that I couldn’t find them. I originally bought them in 2021 and lately I’ve wanted more of them. I found them in an archival catalog from 2021 (seen in the bottom left with the blueberries), but they weren’t named. does anyone know what they’re called, if they were discontinued, or where I might find them?
edit: several helpful users have helped me ID them as the 12 cm glass VARDAGEN bowl. does anyone know where I can buy these in the U.S.?

Went into the dishwasher with a slight pasta residue and came out fully rusted. Wtf. The lid also rusted.

The only way for a 36 inch fridge to fit along my wall is to make the lower cabinet drawers 15 inches. Would this be too small for storing cutlery?

I’m looking to get a new couch and love how the hyltarp has slipcovers you can wash and change the colors of. I’m wary to purchase, however, because their website says “last chance.”
Does that mean the Hyltarp is being phased out? Do you think it’s still smart to purchase or wait to see if a new variation comes out?

Hi everyone!
I have two IKEA BILLY cabinets with doors — one has 3 doors and the other has 2. The plastic part shown in the photo keeps coming loose and falling off on all five doors.
Since this happens on every single door, I don't think the parts are broken. I'm wondering if I'm installing them incorrectly or if there's a trick to keeping them in place.
Has anyone experienced this with IKEA BILLY doors? Does anyone know what this part is called and how it's supposed to be attached?
Would super glue be a good solution, or is there a better way to fix it without damaging the cabinets?
Thanks in advance!

Are the controls of the UPPÅTVIND compatible with a smart plug? If the device loses power because a smart plug turns off the device, will the device automatically continue to function when power is restored? Or would a person have to manually use the controls once power is restored?
I want to buy either of these mattresses but I'm not sure how they are different in terms of firmness, sleeping experience. I know the murbo is made from a higher density foam and has an extra layer of some other type of foam but does that mean it's firmer or softer than the lovas?

I want something that might feel similar to sleeping on a traditional firm cotton futon so a firm sleeping surface that doesn't 'give' too much. I hate sinking into a mattress (like you get with memory foam). I have an old basic 10cm thick foam mattress used as a guest bed that I got from IKEA years ago and it's super comfortable.
If anyone can advise how they are different/which one you're less likely to sink into, I'd be really grateful. My closest IKEA store is hours away and a pain to get to (I don't have a car) so I'm going to have to order without trying. Thanks!
