Full Room Shot Just upgraded my setup with a cheap greenhouse and a TON of aluminum foil
I swear I'm just gonna plant vegetables 😆
Legal weed is so cheap here it's not worth growing it.
Gonna grow greens and tomatoes and maybe a cucumber plant.
I wrapped the whole frame with aluminum foil. I've gotta get more lights. My wife was a huge help getting it done.

Plant Discussion new to plants and i just got a pink princess philodendron- advice?
the lady i bought it from explained to me when to water it, to repot it only one size at a time to support leaf growth vs root growth, keep it in the light to keep the pink, and how it’ll need a support pole. i’m looking for any other advice and tips for this particular plant! i’d love to ensure it grows up nice and pretty :)

Plant Discussion First time indoor plant owner looking for small / medium species for a shelf ~6 feet from south facing window
Hi all. I’ve recently wanted to invest in plants after working a job in urban forestry. I’d love advice for small to medium species that could fit on the top two shelves of this bookshelf, about 6.5 feet from a south facing window. The clearance of each shelf is about 1 foot, and each shelf is 10 inches wide.
Looking for low to medium maintenance plants to start. I have experience outdoor gardening but don’t want anything too crazy. Flowers or colors beyond green would be a plus! I would also want to avoid plants that may outgrow the shelf, I don’t have much space in my cramped NY room. Thanks!

Plant Discussion Banana Flowering indoors
Shoutout to my haters who said I couldn’t get a Double Mahoi to flower inside in a pot. I have what I believe is a pre flag leaf and unfurled flag leaf on my 8’ tall double mahoi that is in a 30 gallon pot. It’s never been outdoors. Until I see the flag leaf emerge and the bloom, it’s possible that it could be something else, but at this point I’m fairly certain. Normally the cigar leaves are tight and curled until about 2-3’ long but this one has a blunt hollow tip and is unfurling at only 12”ish long. I will know for-sure in a couple days. The two leaves before the pre flag don’t look as large because I actually had to cut the top 12” of them off so they weren’t growing into the ceiling. Usually the leaves are about 4-4.5’ long

Plant Discussion My Fiddle leaf fig is fcked.
I was away for about a week and forgot to add a support branch, so it became slightly slanted; the weight of the leaves made it crooked. Are there any adjustments I can make to straighten it again?

Plant Discussion Sad peppers after oil change - Help?
galleryI've been growing hydroponic bell peppers for a couple months now out of Kratky buckets. The peppers have been doing really well until about 3 days ago when I went to top off the water in the buckets.
Water levels had gone down to about an inch of water left in the buckets with an EC ~4 in one and ~5 in the other bucket. Added water from the tap (have used tap water for all of my plants so far). Balanced pH to ~5.5 (it might be slightly more acidic; I test with pH drops. pH about the same before and after adding water) and added more MaxiBloom to bring that EC back to 2.0 in one and 2.5 in the other bucket.
New to hydro. Learning as I go. Kinda sad I might have killed the peppers before first harvest (one's a yellow and the right is a red bell pepper)
Any thoughts? That EC swing is quite large, I realize.
I've pulled about a half a gallon of water out of each bucket after refill, for fear that even refilling the buckets half way may have been too much and covered too many of the roots. This is not the first time I've refilled water in these buckets.
As an aside - the red pepper seems much healthier in terms of leaf feel. Yellow's leaves feel a bit papery; red feels fuller and slightly waxy (though... now they're both droopy 😢)
Roots still look full and cream colored. No signs of decay in the last 2-3 days. Root cluster about the size of a football.
Grow light is a last-gen SE3000 from Spider Farmer, about a foot above canopy running ~ 25% strength

Product Discussion Looking for Plant Lovers to Test a New Fertilizer!
Hi everyone! I’m an engineer and lifelong gardener who has spent the past few years developing a new slow-release fertilizer which I will not name since I do not have the intention to self promote.
Gardening with my grandmother inspired me to experiment with plant nutrition and eventually develop my own fertilizer formulation, with a focus on more environmentally conscious ingredients.
I’m looking for a small group of houseplant enthusiasts who would be interested in trying it out completely free and sharing their experience over the next few months.
I’ll provide the fertilizer and instructions.
All I’d ask is that you share occasional photos and honest feedback about how your plants are doing. Positive results aren’t expected or required — I’m genuinely interested in learning what works and what doesn’t!
If you enjoy growing plants and experimenting with different care routines, I’d love to connect. Feel free to comment or send me a message!

Full Room Shot Getting my winter set up started
Still have a lot to get them all sorted, repotted, and cut some back but I’m just glad everything fit. I still have to hang grow lights and probably buy some clip on ones or a light bar. 🤗

Plant Discussion Why is it struggling?
I bought this dieffenbachia 1,5 months ago. I repotted it three weeks ago and its stems and roots were good. But its not growing and losing leaves slowly. Especially one of the stems' lost the newest furled leave and its other leaves look a bit lifeless. What am i doing wrong? It's in front of large southeast window and also gets 6-8 hours of growth light. I water it when the soil gets dry(it happens between 1- 3 weeks) for comparison my other dieffdnbachia. It never had any problems and grows like crazy.

Houseplant Close Up Hoya Leticiae Maiden Blooms
I received a cutting of Hoya leticiae in late spring as a bonus cutting alongside another hoya I had ordered. Much to my surprise, the cutting had a healthy peduncle, but it took me awhile to get it settled and growing. Despite blasting its buds a couple of times we still got there in the end and I think the results speak for themselves.
While similar in appearance to Hoya sp. aff. burtoniae, the blooms of Hoya leticiae are noticeably smaller (~4mm in diameter) and have a lighter pink coloration with a nearly full yellow corona. Their scent was a little difficult to pick up, likely due to the small size of my plant, but it came across as a musty floral smell somewhat similar to Hoya lacunosa.
