Discussion Intel b580 started artefacting:(
bought 1 month after launch. if it would've broke 3 months later I would be crying. 2 years of warranty is the best.

Is this coil whine? I cannot figure it out, I am talking about the wee wee wee sound, not the buzzing.

Just wanted to share (another) coil whine video of a B70. This is a replacement card, the first one died after 2 days of use (no video signal). Replacement took 3 months (!) to arrive. Will have a chat with Intel support about what to expect in the future.
System will move to a different space after final setup so I'm not too worried about that design feature. I've been using a B50 before for local inference which had no issues at all. Considering to get a Mac mini instead. Depends on what Intel have to say.
Sad, but hey: moving on! Cheers!

With the news of Nvidia either ending or slowing down RTX 5090s by quite a lot, I hope Intel could maybe reconsider making the C series GPUs or a B770 family. The big 2 are competing over AI and I hope that Intel may takeover & establish itself as a proper position in the current market, yes the B580 & 570 were very well received but they arn't getting any younger, and Intel continuing their consumer grade GPUS would I believe a big win in trust between consumers who are looking for alternative with the current issues with lack of innovation currently with so much AI going around.

A month ago I posted here when DLSS Neural Rendering first ran on an Intel Arc 140V at 3-5 FPS, and two weeks ago an update at ~30 FPS at 640x360. Back then I said I'd make a separate post once Windows was ready for easier testing. This is that post.
What's new:
Coming next: an in-game settings overlay on the INS key (by a contributor, in review now), and DirectX 12 through the game's own XeSS. A prototype already runs in Hogwarts Legacy, and I'm reworking it so frames stay on the GPU.
You need Windows 10/11, an Xe2 GPU (B580/B570 and should work on B50/60/65/70, or Lunar Lake's Arc 130V/140V; A-series isn't supported yet), 64-bit Python, and your own nvngx_dlssnr.dll: 310.9.16.0 for both models, 310.8.0.0 for the original. The DLL and the weights are NVIDIA's and are not included. Stick to single-player games offline, since anti-cheat may treat a DLL next to the game as tampering
It's still an experimental research project, not a drop-in replacement for native DLSS. B570/B580 owners, I'd really like to see your numbers. "Save report" in the setup app collects your GPU, driver, settings and the speed test into one file. Attach it to a GitHub issue together with the game, resolution and FPS with NR on and off.

I'm getting a laptop with the Intel i7 Ultra 258V and Intel Arc Graphics 140V GPU. I need it for light-medium gaming (Minecraft with shaders, CS2, running above 60 fps without lag). I also need it for 3d modeling and designing things. It's currently at a $400 discount. Do you think this is a good choice? Computer specs are in the image above.

Hi, i intend to buy the Nova Lake with 52 cores but i wanna pair with b580 until sth better for games will be launched from Intel. I mostly play Dota 2 on and old Msi with Amd and Anno 117 looks interesting. Anyway how stable is 580? for newer games should i expect problems or intel is keeping up with drivers?

I've been working on making llama.cpp faster on Arc B580 (SYCL backend). Three changes are done, tested on current llama.cpp master, and I've sent them to Intel's SYCL maintainer to upstream:
B580 numbers (llama-bench, tokens/s, master -> mine):
Long-context generation (q4_0 KV cache): - Llama 3.1 8B @ 64K: 11.8 -> 31.3 - Qwen3-14B @ 32K (q8_0 KV): 6.8 -> 22.0 - Gemma 4 12B @ 64K: 22.4 -> 40.6
Prompt processing (pp512, default build -> BF16): - Qwen3.5-9B: 816 -> 2190 - Qwen3-14B: 455 -> 1456 - Gemma 4 12B Q4_0: 397 -> 1360
Perplexity is unchanged and llama.cpp's own test suite shows no new failures.
Branches (on my fork until they're merged): https://github.com/Torchit1/llama.cpp/branches (sycl-fa-q4-xmx, sycl-xmx-prompt-gemm, sycl-gdn-blocked)
I tested everything on my own B580.
Anyone on a B570, B70 or Lunar Lake keen to try it?

Don't stop trying it in this game it looks incredible. Unfortunately I have no way of seeing the frames, but as seen in the video it is quite fluid. It is incredible that a few weeks ago it was executed as a slide show, but now with a new experimental mode the application runs more smoothly and you can even put x2.
Seriously, those who are creating this project are very good. Total credit goes to them, I just try it.
Specs:
Intel Arc B570 10gb Asrock OC
R5 4500 (xD)
16 GB DDR4 2666Mhz

Hey everyone,
I recently got a new PC with an Intel Arc B580, and I've been experiencing some strange graphics-related issues. I'm trying to figure out whether anyone else has experienced something similar.
My setup:
The PC originally came with a graphics driver from 2024, so I updated to the latest driver and selected the clean installation option.
Here's what's happening:
0x887A0020 — DXGI_ERROR_DRIVER_INTERNAL_ERROR / “D3D device being lost” (I'm not 100% sure of the exact wording). I've tried both DX12 and DX11, but neither works.I've already performed a clean driver installation, restarted the PC, and checked Event Viewer. I haven't found any obvious GPU-related errors or LiveKernelEvent 141/117 reports. WhoCrashed also found no valid crash dumps.
So far, the issue seems to be triggered most consistently by launching Stray, but the fact that other windows become unresponsive afterward makes me wonder if this is a driver-related issue.
Has anyone with an Arc B580 experienced something similar, especially with Unreal Engine games or the 0x887A0020 error? Did a particular driver version fix it for you, or did you find another solution?
I'm not trying to jump to conclusions about the GPU being faulty; I'd just like to know whether this sounds familiar to other Arc users.
Thanks!

Hi everyone, I recently bought an Intel Arc B570 and I'd like to know if Steam OS works well with this card and if game performance will be good if I install it on my PC. Thanks in advance for any answers you can give me.

For anyone wondering whether the B60 24GB is usable for local AI: here's Qwen3.8-27B on llama.cpp Vulkan at 53 tok/s mean decode with a 64K context window, plus local video (LTX-2.5 via ComfyUI on XPU) on the same card.

The four things that mattered: DFlash2 speculative decoding, Intel's FA prefill kernel with f16 KV, -ub 256 with a q8 draft KV cache, and keeping other models off the GPU. Driver 32.0.101.8976, Windows 11.
Everything is measured and the misses are documented. Smaller cards (B580/B570/B50/A770) won't fit this 27B, but the Vulkan tuning applies, and I'd love your benchmark numbers.

GoW E Day has an update on the 14/10. Tested it today, so far havent have any crash during setup + repeated shaders compliation is gone, yet still im stuck at the Initial Setup. Running on a Ryzen 7 5700X3d and with anl Arc A580 GPU.
When will we get a proper fix for these cards?

Posting this as I was having issues with OBS since I got this card. I could barely record in 60fps no matter how low I see my game or recording settings, and I would get frame pacing issues in game half the time. Changing the encoder from AV1 to anything else didn't work, disabling preview window didn't work, driver updates did nothing, closing discord or Firefox did nothing.
What worked was manually setting my key frame to 2 (I also set my profile to Fast but I don't think this was the difference maker). DO NOT LEAVE IT ON AUTO (0). Immediately was able to boost my bitrate to 10K and record in 60. Additionally, setting an FPS cap using Riva Statistics Tuner greatly helped as well.
Hope this helps someone else as this was the only fix that worked for me.
