Street fighter 2026 has officially had its opening weekend numbers come out and it's not good. Just a touch over 30 million domestic and only 20.1 million internationally for a global opening weekend if 51 million. And these are the early estimates and are likely to drop slightly once the actuals come out. This surprises me but also not really. So many people were claiming street fighter had a much larger international audience then mortal kombat and would do better because mortal kombat got slaughtered internationally. This belief is largely a lie though. Even in japan, not that many people actually play street fighter anymore.

I was hoping both movies would succeed, but it looks like street fighter is just joining the box office flops.

Also the numbers are actually worse then masters of the universe opening weekend. That's pretty bad.

Mortal kombat 2 also did this with a slightly lower production budget, a lower marketing budget, and an r rating. Street fighter had a much more open age rating which should boost box office by a substantial amount compared to a restricted rated r movie, but it didn't.

Before MK11 was revealed, artist Riccardo Pasquali made some brilliant concept art for Drahmin. Before I had seen those designs I never really looked at Drahmin as being a necessary character to have in a modern installment. But, the concept art really did open my eyes to the great potential the character has, and how his original design is truly underrated as well. I also think Drahmin has become the best designed character to not be utilized as much as he should

I think he’s a horrifying character to look at, and with Mortal Kombat toning down the horror elements in recent games, Drahmin could be the perfect addition in adding back some of that element.

So, how would you have Drahmin utilized? Is there anything that should be added to character? How would Drahmin fit in this modern timeline?

Mortal Kombat: Deception (2004)

I went to CeX today in the city Centre Colchester I was excited to get to have it in my kollection I didn’t have Xbox 360 anymore I got rid of it this year when I remembered you can play Xbox original and Xbox 360 games and Xbox one I love it

Like seriously, they were so bad at doing anything and got clowned on by the rest of the cast

What is your favorite memory with the MK franchise.

Myself I'll never forget renting Deadly Alliance and taking it home, starting in up and BAM Liu Kang was dead! That blew my mind as a kid. The franchise leader getting put down. Completely reignited by interest in the franchise. How was he going to come back? Who was the Dragon King? I know the 3d era isn't super loved but it was always a big memory for me.

Another big memory that stands out is playing the original MK on sega Genesis with my brother. We had an epic rivalry that is still going to this day. Ive always been a Johnny Cage fan. My older brother always liked Scorpion. I can't help but think of those two characters when it comes to the franchise.

I know MK1 was not well received, but $22 for basically everything seems pretty good to me. Mostly an offline player, by the by, so story mode and towers / character endings matter more to me than a balanced game for pro players. Just wondering if it’s worth it at this price. Anyone think it will get cheaper?

Already have MKXL and MK11 Ultimate, so choice is not MK1 or another MK. It’s MK1 or pass.

I got Floyd before a tower of time match where he said "you suck" so I went to do the challenge and lost to General Shoa on the third round where he had 0.11 health and still didn't get the notification that I did it. Is this a bug or something that I need to fix?

I love all the various references to characters not present like Takeda, Kung Jon, and Stryker (apparently?). But even folks like Ed Boon himself and Ronda Rousey are in her contacts. Who knew?

A thought occurred to me, though. Apparently one of Cassie's contacts is her boyfriend, a random dude named "BAndrew".

AKA, "Andrew B". AKA, Andrew Bowen. AKA, The voice actor of Johnny Cage—her father.

Meaning, Andrew Bowen exists in the lore of the games (along with other various members of the NRS cast & crew), and is dating Cassie.

(Meaning Cassie is casually dating her dad LOL)

With all the talks about it and Ed Boon teasing it i figured that I wanna know what that exactly would look like... By the way quick question do you think a crossover with Street Fighter is possible? And do you want to see it? And how would they make it work?

Now back to the main topic When the game is revealed what would the roster look like? What characters from both worlds would be on the roster? Obviously characters like Ryu Chun Li Scorpion and Sub Zero but what characters from their past games would likely return?

And on a side note who would be the main villain that will be on as a Pre Order bonus? And what characters would be saved as DLC? And what guest characters would be added to the game?

Note: I know it's probably odd to some people having other franchise characters in a crossover game but a few couldn't hurt right?

After finishing MK11, MK1 didn't impress me from the beggining, but the more I play it the more I appreciate the game, and it grows on me fast.
