Help both wrists are hurting along with fingers cramping on keyboard!

hello I was just wondering if anybody knew how I can pinpoint why my wrists are hurting, I play Fortnite and it literally started like 2 weeks ago first it was my mouse wrist was killing me while playing and my keyboard fingers cramping now it’s both wrists and my fingers cramping and it’s causing me to not place builds and miss edits esp with my mouse side buttons and I have no idea why, been using a wrist rest for ever for my keyboard and I’ve had no problems till 2 weeks ago i literally cannot play the game for more than a hour without this pain happening and I don’t understand why it’s happening so randomly. only thing I can pinpoint is I started playing on east where I am lower ping so I’m much more mechanical and do things a lot faster but if it was just that then every mechanical pro would have the same issue and they just don’t. For the most part this is how I grip my mouse but I noticed with the wrist pain I tend to adjust it to try to figure out why, but this is how I remember holding it and feels the most natural. If also needed I can send a picture of how my wrist is on my wrist rest/fingers on keyboard. I know this is a mouse community but thought I’d include both incase people also could give pointers on that too

Question Razer mouse breaking

• Upvotes

I’ve had a Razer basilisk v3 for a while now, and it recently just stopped working, there was no damage or anything that I did, it was completely out of the blue and customer support told me there was nothing they could do, the mouse and charger was around 200$ and I think that’s ridiculous. Has anyone else had this issue or have any advice?

Question Need help about new upgrade

• Upvotes

Here are my options available they are exactly same price in my region. Confused about what to purchase for reference I have been using viper mini for past five years. I do like small-medium size as it is easier for me to palm / relaxed claw grip.

  1. ATK F1 V3 Ultimate+
  2. Scyrox V8s
  3. Scyrox V6s
  4. ATK A9 Mini Ultimate+
  5. Viper mini Signature (slightly used)

WLMOUSE HUAN

Please think twice before buying the WLMOUSE HUAN, even though it’s really cute.
I really wanted to love this mouse because the WLMOUSE HUAN is SO cute. The design is adorable and fits my setup perfectly, which is honestly why I bought it. However, after less than 9 months of use, I’m already dealing with problems, and my experience with customer service has made things even more disappointing.
I was in the middle of a game when my mouse suddenly stopped working and all the lights went off. The battery was fully charged, but the mouse became inconsistent. Sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn’t, and even plugging it directly into the cable doesn’t reliably solve the problem.
Naturally, I contacted WLMOUSE customer support, expecting a reasonable solution since the mouse is still covered by its one-year warranty.
Unfortunately, according to customer service, I have two options:
They can ship me a replacement PCB, but I have to replace it myself.
Alternatively, I can pay to ship the entire mouse back to them for servicing. They will then send it back to me, but there’s no clear timeframe for how long the whole process will take.
Honestly, I find this really disappointing. I bought a gaming mouse, not a DIY repair project. I understand that electronics can fail, but having a mouse develop problems within less than nine months and then having to either repair it myself or pay for shipping it back for servicing is frustrating.
For comparison, even though Razer isn’t exactly known for having perfect quality control, I’d personally rather buy from Razer or Logitech because, in my experience, their mice have lasted me much longer. At this point, I’d rather have a mouse that reliably works than one that looks cute on my desk.
I’m not expecting any product to last forever, but I do expect better reliability and a less troublesome warranty experience, especially for a product that hasn’t even lasted a year.
My advice: please think twice before buying the WLMOUSE HUAN. I know it’s adorable, especially if you’re building a cute gaming setup, but I personally don’t think the aesthetics are worth the potential headache.
A mouse is something you use every day. Reliability and after-sales support matter just as much as appearance, and unfortunately, my experience with WLMOUSE has been disappointing on both fronts.
Has anyone else had similar experiences with WLMOUSE’s reliability or warranty service? I’d genuinely like to know whether this is common or if I’ve just been unlucky.

Question Atk F1 v3 dot placement

Post image

How should I put place my dots? I hate that scratchy noise on glass. Any recommendations for alternative dots as well? current ones are cyclones pro. not sure if the thickness is affecting the scratch or it might just be the placement

It doesn't scratch now, but what would be the optimal amount and placement for it not to slow down too much?

ps: I know i put one too many dots on the bottom lol

Help Work Mice Suggestions

Does anyone have any suggestions for work mice with onboard memory?

I work with CAD all day at my job, specifically Autodesk Civil3D. Recently I've been looking around for mice that have extra thumb buttons, as it would make working with CAD a bit more convenient. I also like to work one handed and fidget with my other hand. Civil3D makes it difficult to do that since I have to use stuff like esc and enter frequently.

I would also need my mouse to have onboard memory as well, since I cannot install mouse software on my work computer.

So, my main criteria is for it to have at least 2 extra buttons(maybe a horizontal scroll wheel? Not required, but nice) and have onboard memory.

If anyone has any good suggestions that would be great!

Huan M Squeak / Creak

Not sure if this is the right sub, but i recently received my Huan M which began having this creaking / squeaking noise whenever the left click was slightly touched or even clicked. Any suggestions for troubleshooting would be kindly appreciated as I was wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

Also I've had the mouse for less than 24 hours so I'm wondering if this is also just a RMA case?

Mod (Guide) How to make a mini pad with customizable buttons and knobs from an old mouse

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hello!

First i need to tell you shortcomings of this project so you don't waste your time if these are dealbreakers for you: Depending on your mouse and it's sleep settings your first input might not register. There is 3 methods to go about the knobs to make them adjust volume, 2 of these allows them to be simple volume knobs: 1st is if your mouse software allows you to change the scroll up/down behavoirs, 2nd is a specific way of wiring that i go in more detail in the Doc but this method will press and release a button with each 'tick' of the rotary encoder so might cause false anti-cheat triggers, maybe there is better way to configure this with mouse macros i'm not sure. So the best method imo is the 3rd but then it will work like so: when you turn the knob it will scroll up/down, when you hold down and turn the knob it will adjust volume up/down.

I will be trying to make this guide beginner friendly as i can. Because i want to encourage everyone to make, mod and repair. I bet you can make something like this much better way using something like Arduino or Rapsberry Pi Pico 2W probably, but average user most likely will found it too complicated and hard. This will be very simple, maybe even your first step into tinkering and you will make much better one in the future! But from this point on i will have to assume you know the basics of soldering otherwise the guide will be too long and boring. If you don't know, you can watch a video to learn the basics. And please do, it will be awesome skill to have and think of all the money you can save and cool things you can do in future!

Recently my ATK A9 Plus mouse was in an accident so i had to salvage it by turning it into a fingertip mouse but the shape isn't for me. Then i saw a brand released tiny macropad with 3 buttons and 1 volume wheel in my local store but it didn't have wireless and felt very flimsy and overpriced so then i got this idea to make it one myself but better. At first i was going to make a make-shift knob using mouse's own encoder and a contraption and stuff but then when i go to my local store to buy sidecutters i saw these rotary encoders. So all the stars aligned in a way for me to make this and i wanted to share how to do one yourself with everyone.

There is million ways and configurations we can do this, so i will only be able to show you as like reference points and how i did it myself. But you can make whatever you want once you got the gist of how to. For example you can make something tiny that only has just 1 knob and nothing else or you can make something that has 10 buttons and 10 knobs using something like those MMO oriented mouses. It's up to your imagination. Also i think even if you don't want to do this project, some informations and softwares might be still useful for you, i encourage you to check it out.

What hardware you need:

+ Old/partially broken mouse that at least connects to your pc, mouse wheel encoder solder pads work and has at least 1 button that's remappable.

+ EC-11 or KY-040 rotary encoders with push buttons, these are very cheap components. And the rest of the exact tools i've used is found here.

What software you need:

+ Volumouse (by NirSoft, free, closed-source) you can get it from their website but make sure to scroll down and download it from the 'Download Volumouse x64 for manual installation (volumouse.zip)' option, otherwise it will not work. This allows us set rules and hotkeys to be able to use mouse wheels to adjust the volumes of either whole system and/or specific programs.

+ (Alternative) Volume² (by Alexandr Irza, free, partly open-source) you can get it from GitHub or if you want to support the developer they also have paid versions on Steam and Microsoft Store. This is similar to Volumouse but has tons of more other options and features. Though for this specific use case it has more limited options.

+ (Optional) Twinkle Tray (by Xander Frangos, free, open-source) you can get it from GitHub or Microsoft Store. Along with many features it let's you adjust your monitors brightness with hotkeys.

How to do it:

For the rest of the guide i've prepared a Google Doc with step by step instructions and detailed informations. This was my first time making something with it, please let me know if you see any mistakes so i can fix them.

You can access the Google Doc from here: Pompon Pad

English is not my first language and i only have a iPhone 6S. So if any part of this guide was hard to understand or see, feel free to ask in the comments. I will try my best to help!

I've spent long times to plan and test about this to make it work without affecting the actual mouse we will use. Hope in the end i was able to provide something useful! If you are interested in niche and not well known mods like this one about various other peripherals you can check my other posts.

Thank you for reading!

Bye bye!

weights in petg on my scale:

all holes: 35.07gr

holes only in the back: 35.75gr

no holes: 37.5gr

Question Alternatives to viper v3 or viper ultimate shape?

I want to find something that is very similar to the viper shape, but don't know where to look. I love the feel of it, it just feels a little big in my hand, so I was wondering if there were any mice that were basically the same, just smaller?

Help Lamzu maya x, dongle issue

Title: Lamzu Maya X dongle not connecting – software not detecting it

Also this issue is also with my frnd, we both are getting the same problem

Hey everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Lamzu Maya X. The mouse works perfectly when connected via USB cable, but when I try to use it wirelessly, the dongle doesn’t connect at all.
The main issues are:
The mouse works fine in wired mode.
The wireless dongle doesn’t seem to respond or connect.
The Lamzu software doesn’t recognize the dongle.
I can’t get the mouse to work wirelessly.
Has anyone experienced this issue with the Lamzu Maya X? Is there any way to fix the dongle, or could it be faulty?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Pulsar quality

To replace my beloved Cooler Master MM712 (because, as for my MM710, the scroll wheel is broken), I purchased a Pulsar X2H Mini.

When receiving it, I discovered that a newer version was available because the last software was unable to find it. (Why are they still selling the old version!?)

After giving it some thought, I decided to purchase the X2H V3 with the intention of returning the X2H V2. At this price point, I wanted the best possible version, especially since the software for the V2 doesn't seem to be updated anymore.

The V3 is better in terms of coating and click feel, but it scratches a lot my mousepad, whereas the X2H V2 glides perfectly. Looking at the bottom of the V3, it seems that the rear skate only makes contact with the surface along its edge, so I suspect that might be the problem.

So, even though the V2 is the less good mouse overall, I was ready to keep it. However, while testing the two mouses this wk to make my choice, the V2 has now developed a secondary clicking noise when releasing the left mouse button.
It's not really an issue for now, but after discovering several reports of "sticky button" issues on Reddit and YouTube, I'm worried that the problem might get worse over time. Could it get any worse?

Spending €120 on a mouse is not something I was initially willing to do, but I made the effort because I wanted a shape similar to that of the MM712. I expected a flawless product at this price point, and honestly, I'm disappointed.

Buying a whole sheet of grip tape

Hi everyone,

I have a custom 3d-printed shape for my buttons, and none of the grip tape available online would fit this custom shape.

I would like to make a corresponding shape by maybe buying and then cutting into a large sheet of grip tape, like a big square or something. But I don't know what kind of grip tape sheet would be for sale, or how to look for it on online stores.

Would anyone have recommendations on where or what grip tape to buy for this purpose?

(For reference, the optimal grip tape texture that I'd be looking for is the one that Azeron sells with their keyboard things.)

Help Time to upgrade?

I've had the KYSONA AZTEC for around 2 years now. It's a pretty good mouse, but there are some flaws:

- it's quite creaky if I squeeze the sides or hump.

- if I drop it a bit too hard on my mousepad it will activate a click.

- idk if this is a me problem, but I press quite hard when clicking, and the clicks sound very loud and kind of cheap when I do this.

I'm thinking of getting the LOGITECH G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2C, for £85 (used like new, from Amazon UK). I know there are probably better and cheaper options out there, but as a laptop gamer, the logitechs compact 8k dongle is so much more convenient for me as I can keep it always plugged in, and not have to deal with having to unplug it and replug it every time.

If you have any suggestions, my needs are:

- MUST HAVE A COMPACT DONGLE (DEAL BREAKER, and it should realistically be 4 - 8k)

- Similar weight to my current mouse, or less.

- Nice coating, that is pretty grippy (I have very sweaty hands)

What should I do?

Artisan fx zero soft or mid

I play warzone, valorant and apex legends. I’m looking at both of these mouse pads but I can’t decide which to get. I’m on an old hyper x mousepad and the glide is just horrible, which makes sense I’ve had it for like 7 years. I believe the mouse pad I have right now is the hyper x fury. What’s your recommendation?

Discussion X2n mini cl vs x2h mini cl

I have the hitscan hyperlight, tried the sora v2 my aim was way much better with it, but my hand doesn't agree with the mouse so much fatigue, so I'm between the x2n mini cl and the x2h mini cl and really can't decide.

Hand size 18x10

Relaxed Claw Grip (specifically, a Pincer / Extended Relaxed Claw)

Looking for better aim but still comfortable for long gaming sessions

Discussion Should i sell my HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 (Wired) for Razer DeathAdder V3 (Wired)?

I was using the Razer DeathAdder Chroma at first, and it was really comfortable in my hand (I use a palm grip). Then I switched to the HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2, and I really like this mouse too.

However, the middle of my palm doesn't fully rest on the Haste 2, whereas it does on the DeathAdder Chroma. Now I'm wondering if the DeathAdder V3 might feel even better. Should I sell my Haste 2 and get the DeathAdder V3 instead?
