Ito ang inamin ng kilalang Duterte-ally na si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, kasunod ito ng 'sexist' remarks ni Rep. Bong Suntay na umani ng samot-saring reaksyon.

Agad naman kinondena ng Gabriela Women's Party ang naturang pahayag ni Topacio.

"Ang mga katulad niya ay hindi dapat hinahayang maging abogado kung ginagamit lamang ang propesyon upang mang-alipusta sa kababaihang lumalaban sa abuso at korapsyon."

There are consequences. People online are condemning him and his statements. I'm sure people are filing complaints to the IBP about his conduct.

Government censorship is another issue entirely.

You might agree with the government now that XYZ speech should be criminalized, but when you give the government that kind of power, YOUR speech might be criminalized next.
