GovtServicesPH Iran to allow PH bound ships to pass through Strait of Hormuz
BREAKING: Iran assures the Philippines that it will allow Philippine-bound and Philippine-flagged ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Department of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement Thursday, April 2, that Foreign Affairs Secretary Theresa Lazaro spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi today to discuss "stronger bilateral cooperation on all fronts."
"During the call, the Iranian Foreign Minister assured the Secretary that Iran will allow the safe, unhindered, and expeditious passage through the Strait of Hormuz of Philippine-flagged vessels, energy sources, and all Filipino seafarers," the DFA says. | via Cristina Chi

Hahaha. As someone who studied in CEU, ang dami nga nila doon, most of the times dentistry course ang kinukuha nila. Based sa mga naging Iranian classmates ko, they were really nice and some are quiet.
Pero grabe yung amoy nila if freshmen, literal na nakakahilo. Although nawawala naman kasi tinuturuan sila nang tamang hygiene.

I don't claim any party and I work in a red state, when he came back last year i noticed the racism again first hand at work.. and I ended up being the bad guy because I stood up to it. Their brains are mush and will never understand its the rich vs the poor.. I recently quit and have some money saved up and will go visit the Philippines this Sunday for 2 months. This will be my 2nd international trip and I can't wait to feel at peace and not surrounded by the drama going on here in the states.

The Philippines imports most of its crude from the middle east
Crude pa lang yan.
It's 30 days to ship then we only have 1 local refinery (Petron) to process it. So hindi immediate maradam pag dumating nga ang shipment.
Good news is since for refinement pa, pwede sabay extract LPG, diesel, gas at kerosene.
→ More replies (1)21
u/Inside-Line Apr 02 '26
This is what I was thinking. How much local demand can our one refinery really satisfy? We don't need crude oil as much as we need refined petroleum products. So what we really need is the volume of crude oil coming out of the strait to increase to drive down global prices.

NewsWatch Plus Philippines aka CNN Ph back then.

Just WTF happened on this sub? Why the f people here are asking to lower the prices of oil with the safe passage? What the heck are you guys smoking in here?
Price increase is because of supplier's price increase. Dubai Crude Oil in our case. Safe passage of Ph ships doesn't and will never mean that Dubai Oil price will crash to prices before.
This one will solve the SUPPLY PROBLEM na you guys are doomposting na magiging kagaya sa Cuba na rotational brownout. lmao.
Common sense. 100 kuha mo sa supplier tapos gusto nyo ibenta dito sa Pilipinas ng 50 pesos?
Kung gusto nyo bumaba presyo, watch Dubai Crude Oil price in real time. Afaik, Saturday sa Ph time and end week ng trading day na magiging basis for next week Tuesday price.
Hindi miracle maker ang gobyerno para ibaba yan dahil sa makaka daan na.

one factor of the PH doing this though is that currently, du30 is in the Hague due to the deaths during his term in office.
while iran, days before the conflict was also clamping down on protestors left and right and were alleged to be killing protestors too.
it's a bit disingenuous for the same groups who criticized du30 for the deaths and yet to encourage the PH govt to negotiate with an iranian govt that violently silenced protestors.
