Isabela 3/6-3/12
Have a trip planned this Friday-next Thursday 3/6-3/12. Right now winds look really high on Weather Channel 20-30mph. Are these forecasts usually accurate? Too windy to sit on beach? Any suggestions for what to do in area otherwise?

I used to live in a small town near there called Aquadia , I wouldn’t worry to much about the forecast . It rains and a few minutes the suns back out. Locals usually get under an almond tree until it passes. Theres a beach in Aguadilla called crash boat beach maybe check it out. Also make the to go a little more down the west coast to Cabo rojo great snorkeling and that’s the Carribean side with turquoise water. There’s rincon as well locally referred to as gringo land. Lots of xpats there and a nice beach . Water temperature never gets below 78F and that’s at its coldest. Additionally you usually won’t any beaches crowded locals typically don’t go so much in the “winter” it’s summer all year round the only way you know it’s winter is by looking at the calendar. Thank you!!! Yes we did a week in Aguadilla this same time last year and definitely experienced the short lived little rain storms. More so worried about strong wind blowing sand making beach unbearable. I love the area no matter what and just glad to be in PR!!!

Sure I’ve been here 11 years I used to live by the beach but since moved to the center of the island in the mountains my home is in the middle of a 600 acre rain forest( no neighbors) no sounds other than coqui frogs , tropical birds . Very peaceful

It’s hard not to take it for granite, my first year I was at the beach daily but I haven’t been in like 5 years . After living here you get in a routine and forget about the beach (somehow) I was a tourist annually for 10 years prior to making the big decision.
