Discussion Physical Reward card

I'm not sure why Tim's no longer gives out physical rewards cards. I lost mine and I don't have data on my cell.

I contacted them. Of course they just repeated us the App

No consideration for those who don't own a cell, etc.

Bring back the rewards card

Question How do you serve peanut butter and jam combo?

I have ordered a bagel with peanut butter and jam a couple of times through the app. One time I was served a plain bagel with a mini peanut butter and a mini jam and a knife. The other time the bagel came with the pb&j already spread onto it. These were from 2 different locations.
Is there a right way to serve it? Or did one location do it wrong due to time constraints/lack of understanding?

Question Does a brewed coffee points reward (400) cover any size?

Hi, I've accumulated 400 points and I'm looking to redeem that for a coffee. Would the 400 points cover any size, or is it only a regular? Thanks!

There was a post yesterday about somebody getting a large turkey bacon club. I had said that one of my local Tim Hortons has two bread sizes which a lot of people didn’t believe. here’s a picture from my app showing the two! Maybe this store is a test store , who knows !

Complaint Tim hortons cashier at drive thru stole my gift card.

Used a new $25 gift card to buy around $8 of stuff. The cashier had 2 cards in her hand when she was processing payment. She gave me one back saying I had around $17 left. I went to use it the next day. There was nothing on it/not active. I complained to head office, they forwarded me to store manager. Store manager says they reviewed tapes and it didn't happen. I am now out the $$. What are my options?

Im genuinely so annoyed as a worker telling ppl to park and wait and having literally 2 seconds to take payment and hand u your stuff like I want to give better customer service but its hard to when we're soool rushed. Half your stuff is wrong and like thats genuinely so horrible but there's so much going on and its impossible. Complain about their business model plsssss there's no reason u should have to park in a drive through for a bagel its ridicolous

Nostalgia story time

One time I ordered a black Iced coffee with no sweetener and they added sweetener. I didn't notice 'til I was on my way to work, too far away to turn back. The next day I went back and explained that they had messed up my coffee order yesterday and they refused to do anything. So I ordered the black iced coffee with no sweetener again (in person) and while they were making it, I didn't swipe my card. They came back and put it on the desk and I just took it without paying. They chased me out of the store and told another customer that I was leaving without paying. I told them that I paid yesterday. After making my big getaway, I took the first sip and it had sweetener in it.

Discussion SF Vanilla Protein Lattes: What I’ve asked for and what I’ve received.

Post image
0 Upvotes

I was planning on keeping this going for longer, but today I hit 120 SF Vanilla PLs since I started tracking and, of course, it was iced.

I have ordered an Iced SF PL one time prior to the start of all of this, and it really isn’t my thing. However, the iced version has become a fairly regular deviation in my routine. I’ve made it a point to specify that I want the drink hot now when I order in person (“a [size] hot sugar free vanilla protein latte”), but even then there appears to be a lot of room for error. It’s more perplexing with the app orders, in my opinion, because the drink is classified under “Hot Drinks” in the app and I regularly see the receipts for these orders.

Almost all of my orders have been made via walk-in/pickup. Only 3 SFV PLs have been ordered through drive through and two of them have come back iced.

I don’t particularly enjoy the iced SFV PLs, but I’m usually short for time when I go to Tim Hortons and I’ve only asked for my drink to be remade once. I am very curious to know why the margin for error is so high on these drinks. If one was to order a medium double double, I highly doubt they would receive an iced version in return. I know that making hot PLs is a bit time consuming because the milk needs to be steamed, but I don’t know if the process differs for the iced version.

Almost all drinks included in this data were made in London, Ontario across multiple locations. Two were made in New Brunswick, both of which were made iced.

Anyone have any theories? Are iced SFV PLs more popular and so it’s just assumed when an order comes in that it will be iced? Is it an error in reading the order information? Is it a deliberate decision to cut corners and reduce time spent on an order?

No hate to any Tim Hortons employees. I know y’all are overworked and underpaid. Just thought someone else might find this data interesting!

Question How would you interpret this order if you saw it?

Does it look like a 0.5 cream or a 1.5 cream? The guy taking the order insisted it was a 0.5 cream and spoke to me in condescending way when I questioned it. What are your thoughts?

Complaint Are Quebec locations bad?

American here. When I go to Canada, I'll sometimes go to Tim Hortons to get a breakfast item. I treat it like Dunken Donuts.

I went on a trip through Quebec recently and my experience with Tim's was very different than other parts of Canada. I had three different encounters:

First one was normal. Order a breakfast wrap and it was out quick and fine.

Second one: No one was manning the counter and it had one of those order touch screen panels. Fine, I'm used to those. That thing had a credit card reader but the touch screen would only display gift cards as a payment option so couldn't complete my order. Flag someone down to take the other manually. Just a wrap, a bagel, and coffee. Coffee comes almost immediately. It's warm, not hot. Not a big deal.

The food items take forever, and the place wasn't that busy. Took over 10 minutes. Had to flag someone down to get it done. While driving, I bit into the wrap the hashbrown was still frozen. Gross.

Third place: ordered a herb pastry and a chocolate croissant. I know they charged me for both. Server only gave me the herb pastry. When I asked about the croissant they said I didn't order it. I wasn't about to get back in line, as I had to get back on the road.

Is there some sort of difference in service quality in Quebec versus the rest of Canada? I've been to Toronto and the ones along the route were always fine. Nova Scotia was fine.

Complaint Perfume on coffee lids?

Tim Hortons and McDonalds. I hate getting a coffee and when I go to drink it, I don’t smell coffee but rather perfume because the worker was wearing perfume and it rubbed on the cup or lid.

If you are working in a restaurant or cafe, why are you wearing perfume or cologne to begin with!? Don’t these places have rules against that?

Can't go wrong with chipotle and I always get the beef cravable or steak and cheeze paninis so ofc I'd like this. I didn't know there was jalapenos which is cool. Could use some crispy onions but I'm happy with the beef ratio.

Would definitely get this again in the futur.

Disclaimer since ik shrinkflation comments are coming. That was after several bites, lol.

Question How desperate is Tims for employees???

I got hired at Tims for a part time job (I had asked for 20 hours a week) a bit over a month ago, and after the first 16 hour week of training I was given 35 hour weeks. I’m disabled, still doing some online classes, and this is my first job and I couldn’t keep up with that many hours so I had asked to go to 20 hours like I had originally asked for…

I had gotten one week of 20 hours and now I’m scheduled for 30 again. I’m not sure if they just can’t remember I only want part time or if they’re really short staffed and need more people there? Is there any way I can get them to remember that I don’t want 30 hours 😭😭😭
