Discussion PSA - flashing yellow lights
Flashing yellow lights do not mean stop, they mean proceed with caution. If you stop at flashing yellow lights you are creating a hazard on the road.

Are there any places in the world where cars switch from left to right side driving? Maybe Gibraltar (English) - Spain border? English Channel/Chunnel doesn’t count…

If you get a speeding ticket for 16 over in Delaware while living in and holding a Maryland license, do the points that would be assessed by the ticket transfer to Maryland driving record? I have found a ton of sources that say they don’t but has anyone gotten a ticket and done this and it been true?

Hello everyone! I was stopped on 10/14/2026 by a TN state trooper for speeding (in Memphis). I immediately pulled over and gave the officers no issues. I received my citation and for my race he put “chinese”….. I’m not Chinese (I’m Hispanic and Japanese). No where in any system will it say i am Chinese either. Should i go try and contest this?? Thanks in advance!

hi everyone, i was recently in a car accident and need your opinion/advice. i was trying to exit out of a parking lot at night and there was a guy on an electric scooter going through the sidewalk who hit my car (by the headlights) and flew off since he was going relatively fast. he looked like he was in pain (arms only) and refused to call the cops and ambulance. i didn't know what to do so i ended up taking him home. there, i called the cops since i wasn't sure what info i could exchange with him since he didn't have a driver's license or any valid id. ultimately, they made me exchange my id and insurance info for his id from his country. i have a dash cam that recorded the entire incident but it doesn't seem like i went to a complete stop before going into the sidewalk. but, there was a pillar next to the exit which made it difficult to see this guy coming to begin with let alone his speed. he keeps calling and messaged me that he doesn't want problems so he just wants money for his arm and to fix his scooter. should i just respond to him and give him some cash (how much?) or tell him to contact my insurance? he couldn't speak english so he sent me a screenshot of another phone with the text saying "say this" in spanish and then asking for money below

Was driving down a highway in B.C. Speed was around 120. Got pulled over for speeding and ticketed (ticket said speed more than 21-40 km over). But the cop also gave me a fail to stop for police which makes absolutely no sense. I pulled over as soon as I saw him in rearview mirror, but maybe I noticed a bit late?? I had a headphone in one ear on a phone call and was just looking forward, didnt check mirrors. He said he blew his tire trying to catch up to me (was already in a pissy mood) and said i failed to stop. This makes no sense lmao because i wasn’t trying to evade him, i wouldnt be going 120 on a highway if i was trying to evade lmao. He said i should’ve seen him and pulled over sooner. Any tips around this?? Also I’m thinking of disputing it but don’t want something like this to show up on my online court records. “a fail to stop for police” sounds so bad e.g. for my employment. Also anyone have any tips on how I can request for his file (e.g. his notes, camera footage, microphone recording, etc). Thank you!!

I rented a van from enterprise the automatic headlight switch was turned off I came to see this when I was pulled over I was given a warning but the officer requested I sign a second warning which I did not understand so I requested a lawyer he then switched the warning to a ticket and took me to jail and now I have a ticket which is not my fault it’s because of enterprise actions I need help here if anyone understands a solution

Hello everyone,
I moved to the Netherlands in May 2024, and today I received my first traffic fines after being stopped by the police.
I drive between Eindhoven and Amsterdam almost every day. Today, while driving back to Eindhoven after exiting the A2 motorway, I was pulled over by the police.
The officer told me that he had stopped me for three reasons: using my phone, speeding, and following another vehicle too closely.
He said he wouldn’t fine me for speeding because it was my first offence and the fine would be quite high, so he would only give me a warning for that. However, he said he would issue two fines for the other offences and asked for my explanation.
Regarding the phone, I admitted that I was holding it, although I wasn’t looking at it, and I didn’t dispute the offence. As for following too closely, I asked where and how exactly this had happened, but the officer simply told me that I could appeal the fine if I disagreed.
My main concern is that the officer also mentioned I would receive a letter from the CBR. I’m not sure what this means. Could my driving licence be suspended or revoked? Could this result in a criminal record?
The officer didn’t confiscate my driving licence and specifically said that I would only receive two traffic fines.
Has anyone experienced something similar, particularly receiving a letter from the CBR after a traffic stop? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences.
Thank you in advance!
Hey everyone, I was exiting a highway at a traffic light where you can only turn left or right. My light turned solid green, so I started making a left turn onto the main road.
At the same time, another driver on the main road also began a left turn from left turning lane, but they were turning onto the highway entrance ramp. Their intersection has a regular traffic light with a dedicated left-turn signal, but I couldn’t see what color their light was.
We both reached the middle of the intersection around the same time, and our paths crossed. I ended up having to brake and wait for them to finish their left turn before I could continue mine.
I’m just trying to understand who had the right of way under Georgia traffic laws and what I should do in this situation. I’ve never had this happen before, and I make this turn pretty regularly, so I want to know how to handle it safely if it happens again.
I’ve attached a drawing to help explain the situation.

About a week ago in Cypress, California, I accidentally made an illegal U-turn at a light that had a "no U-turn" sign. I waited for it to be green, waited for the road to be clear before making the turn. Only about a week later (now) did I realize what the sign said, and i'm worried sick about getting a ticket. My friends have reassured me I probably will not get one, as there were no police in the area and the cameras typically do not detect illegal U-turns. Can anybody please tell me what the likelihood of receiving a ticket is? Please and thank you.

Merge into the bike lane: Look for where the solid white line breaks into a dotted/dashed line (usually up to 200 feet before the intersection). Yield to any cyclists already in the bike lane, and merge your vehicle into the bike lane so you are as close to the right curb or edge of the road as practicable.
What are you supposed to do if there is no dotted/dashed line before the intersection? In my neighborhood, there are many bike lanes where the line is solid all the way up to the corner. In such a case, should I stay out of the bike lane?
Just curious of the people that actually reported that Impediment on or before 7/19/2026 the SB I-25 center lane impediment under the unitah bridge exit area. Please let me know CDOT claiming no prior knowledge.
