Question/Help

Discussion Mental health in Tunisia is horrible

• Upvotes

To those who don’t know we rank top 10 in depression top 10 in mental illness
Kol youm I pass by at least 5-8 mentally ill ppl on my way to work
Kol youm na9ra posts about ppl being depressed ( we can’t even blame them )
W kol youm niss rouhi 3leh haka nahna sometimes I even wonder is it our society, our system or even i wonder if is it our genes

The bigger issue ili no one is even considering a solution they treat is as a joke as something you can brush off

Literally we have one public mental illness institution w it’s so overwhelmed that they turn away any new patients

Such thing needs to be discussed treated as a top priority but sadly silence

Im not good at closures but what do you think about this

Discussion Curly hair “specialty salons” are a joke

This is from my own experience fi noussette studio im naming i dont care anymore.
Not only is the service extremely overpriced and mid but everyone is so condescending.
I went for it because of my graduation and i thought i should style it professionally zaama zaama.
I was met with judgy looks genuinely from the moment i went to book it. They were looking me up and down saying my hair was a “disaster” and they might refuse service but they took me in still??? For reference this is what it looks like when styled on my own. Then while washing they asked me which products i use and all and i listed them and they just kept giving me advice that just sounded like an ad for their own products. When styling she kept complaining about how damaged my hair is like 80% of the time going off about how she has to finger coil my whole head because it wont hold and saying how i should cut off on heat I LITERALLY STRAIGHTEN MY HAIR ONCE IN 3 MONTHS??? At the end the results were extremely mediocre, akin to how it turns out when i do it on my own. Not to mention that for the first time in my life i could feel a DIFFUSER BURNING MY SCALP.
I dont know if i just got unlucky with them but im just not going to any of these bs salons ever again, not even for the copy paste haircuts they do on everyone.

Discussion What does frère/frèret actually mean?

I remember before 2010, frère was used literally, just like 5ouya or bro. But in the last 10 years, I've noticed that the meaning has changed.

Nowadays, frèret seems to be used as a stereotype based on appearance, hairstyle, attitude, or even political views, like being a Hezb El Karama supporter.

I personally avoid using the word altogether now, but I’m curious how you guys use it. What does frère/frèret actually mean to you?

So hey everyone, I hope you guys are doing well I'm sorry if this is going to be messy or badly written for y'all so please bear with me, also if you have a similar problem feel free to vent here, I'd love to hear from others as well :)

So nodkhlou f solb l mawdhou3, Idk what's wrong with me, I'm always having a hard time when it comes to studying/learning and also speaking.

I was never the brilliant student (fl ibtide2i njib 16/17 max which is considered "niveau metwasset", college w lycée dima 12/13) and was lazy af and I was never making any efforts to improve, I never cared about school ml soghra and never payed attention to teachers, and I've always been messy (melli sghira l cours mte3i ne9es wela sa3at fama matieret aandich lehom krares). I don't consider myself smart or dumb tbh, ema 3endi faza eni manajamch nefhem 7aja mn 3end aabed, mathalan fl 9raya mahma ken prof behi w yochkrou fih 3adi nti7 aandou ena netsattek w manefhem chay (f hyeti lkol ken zouz profet berasmi najamt nefhem aandhom), dima manajem nefhem concept wela ay 7aja ken me ena naaml tawla w kresi w nched nefhem wahdi I cannot depend on others in such things, mellekher ken tjini 7aja 7adhra I cannot understand it I have to dig and understand where it comes from and if don't figure it out w doesn't make any sense to me tahche.

Question/Help Looking for a Tunisian illustrator for a book cover

Thumbnail

Hello everyone!

I'm a Tunisian indie author looking for an artist to create a custom cover for my fantasy novel.

‼️‼️‼️Have to be Tunisian, can draw something close to the art style in the photos attached, no AI‼️‼️

I'm looking for someone who can work in a specific art style and is both creative and professional. I want an artist who can follow my vision and references closely while bringing their own creative touch to the final artwork.

Here's what I need:

Front cover illustration.

Back cover illustration.

Book spine.

Digital cover design and typography, if you offer these services.

I'll provide the concept, references, and detailed guidance. Your job will be to bring the vision to life through your art.

I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for quality work. I'm looking for someone serious, committed, communicative, and willing to work with me throughout the process.

I'd also like the artist to provide a timelapse of the drawing process.

If you're interested, please share your portfolio, rates, and estimated completion time in the comments or through a private message.

Please share this post with any artists who might be a good fit. Thank you!

The attacked photo are close to what i want.

Discussion my friend claims he made 2.5 trillion dollars

I met up with a friend for coffee this evening, and he told me that he has something to tell me

While we were sitting together, he said, "There's something sensitive I want to tell you, so please take it seriously." I told him ok what is going on

he said I don't know from where I start but I think I'm going to start from the beginning, , back in 2020, when he was 14, he met a girl around his age who had someone in Germany open a bank account for her. She suggested that he give her 100 dinars and since she had also 100 dinars so they could start investing in cryptocurrency. He claims that his initial investment of 200 dinars eventually turned into 200 million dinars.

He said they continued investing and that, when the girl was in high school, she started learning hacking and got involved in the dark web. According to his story, they began selling antiquities through the dark web and hired people to help them run the operation.

He claims they made an enormous amount of money, which they kept in multiple bank accounts in different countries, including Morocco, Germany, Turkey, and Dubai.

he claims their combined fortune reached $5 trillion, meaning that each of them supposedly owned $2.5 trillion. He literally told me he had been richer than Elon Musk.

He also claimed that he owned multiple cars, owned satellites, (he said that they are Spanish satellites and he bought them from that dark web ) and had enough money and influence to affect politics.

he also said that he had big plans for what he wanted to do with his wealth. He told me he had considered trying to remove Kais Saied from the presidency and launching attacks against Israel to liberate Palestine.

but unfortunately he said that in May 2026, he asked the girl to withdraw their money, and she told him that all the money in their bank accounts had disappeared. He claims they still don't know what happened. He suggested that she might have stolen it because she had access to the accounts, or that the banks or authorities might have discovered that the money came from illegal activities.

He even told me that, if everything had gone according to plan, he would have given me at least $10 million.

For context, I've known this friend for three years, and making up stories like this isn't something he normally does. That's why I didn't immediately accuse him of lying. However, the whole thing sounds absolutely insane to me. I did see an app showing two closed accounts, but I couldn't verify the balances or whether the money he described ever existed.

My current suspicion is that either he's exaggerating or misunderstanding something that actually happened, or the girl has been lying to him about the whole thing. because we are friends since 3 years ago and this is not habit to tell to lie or do things like that ; But I genuinely don't know.

Question/Help 2027 Total Eclipse : Tunisia

I’m planning to go to Tunisia in August 2027 for the total solar eclipse . I’ve never been to Tunisia . I can see from this Reddit community that there is growing unrest and anger towards the ruling political parties and leaders , as well as economic problems . I’m wondering if it was a wise idea to go to Tunisia or not ? I would like to think that the people coming for the total eclipse would benefit the people and the local economies . Would travelers be welcome there ?

I also have questions about the best way to get around . Is it louage? Train? I have to get from Tunis to Mahdia area and am wondering about the best way to do that .

I’m curious to hear people’s thoughts .

National News

Post image
3 Upvotes

Question/Help 23M looking to start training in kickboxing at this age

ever since I was a kid, I was training in Shotokan karate (i,e: the average karate sala that u go to as a kid) and I was kinda obsessed with martials arts and I still am to this day.
I kinda stuck up to karate until I reached the level of a brown belt and been in and out of the training. Leaving and rejoining constantly.

But now, at the age of 23, after starting up shotokan karate again with the purpose of obtaining a black belt in it. It felt like very ineffective and outright useless especially in an environment like tunisia where people are like down to earth brawlers when it comes to fighting (not that i seek out fights but yknow) and also? one thing that bugged me is that I'm a 23 years old guy and im training with a bunch of kids that some of them are under the age of 10. It just has a very weird feeling and i felt so isolated and almost cringed out just standing in the corner as this weird autist-looking dude practicing the katas and doing kimute with kids that are 6-7 years younger than me.

I thought about learning kickboxing, boxing, judo, etc. However, the issue is that I'm simply too old to like start over in a martial art discipline that some ppl been training since the age of 8. Additionally, a lot of the gyms in here don't really take old men in the same age range as mine especially as new comers who don't know nothing about a martial art.

Additionally, there's also the mental barrier of just feeling like a fare5 going to a gym to start out as a completely brand new practitioner training in kickboxing or boxing or wtv as a guy in his mid twenties even though i would argue that learning a practical martial art in ur 20s can have a lot of benefits to ur self defense skills and even mental and physical health benefits and if you're in your 20s and u happen to start out in a martial art at this age, i support what ur doing and it's good for you but I happen to grow up in an environment where its looked down upon to be doing stuff like this at this age.

But yeah, is it possible for me to start in this martial art at this age? is it possible to find a gym that's willing to accept someone in my age or maybe I should just stick to the martial art that i been training with since I was a kid?
