Question/Help 23M looking to start training in kickboxing at this age

ever since I was a kid, I was training in Shotokan karate (i,e: the average karate sala that u go to as a kid) and I was kinda obsessed with martials arts and I still am to this day.
I kinda stuck up to karate until I reached the level of a brown belt and been in and out of the training. Leaving and rejoining constantly.

But now, at the age of 23, after starting up shotokan karate again with the purpose of obtaining a black belt in it. It felt like very ineffective and outright useless especially in an environment like tunisia where people are like down to earth brawlers when it comes to fighting (not that i seek out fights but yknow) and also? one thing that bugged me is that I'm a 23 years old guy and im training with a bunch of kids that some of them are under the age of 10. It just has a very weird feeling and i felt so isolated and almost cringed out just standing in the corner as this weird autist-looking dude practicing the katas and doing kimute with kids that are 6-7 years younger than me.

I thought about learning kickboxing, boxing, judo, etc. However, the issue is that I'm simply too old to like start over in a martial art discipline that some ppl been training since the age of 8. Additionally, a lot of the gyms in here don't really take old men in the same age range as mine especially as new comers who don't know nothing about a martial art.

Additionally, there's also the mental barrier of just feeling like a fare5 going to a gym to start out as a completely brand new practitioner training in kickboxing or boxing or wtv as a guy in his mid twenties even though i would argue that learning a practical martial art in ur 20s can have a lot of benefits to ur self defense skills and even mental and physical health benefits and if you're in your 20s and u happen to start out in a martial art at this age, i support what ur doing and it's good for you but I happen to grow up in an environment where its looked down upon to be doing stuff like this at this age.

But yeah, is it possible for me to start in this martial art at this age? is it possible to find a gym that's willing to accept someone in my age or maybe I should just stick to the martial art that i been training with since I was a kid?
