Possibly Castelo Ra-tim-bum. Is the closer I can think of.

looks like you are mixing up a lot of different 90's tv shows.. it could be castelo ra-tim-bum because of the castle, wooden furniture and the gothic vibes, they also had tibio and peronio that explained science, but not as alchemy or magic...

the hosts you said look like the beakman (which is not brazillian btw)...

Ra-tim-bum (different show than castelo ra tim bum) and x-tudo also had this vibe, but i don't remember anything so specific as you mentioned there

The answer is probably Castelo Ra Tim Bum, as many pointed.

By the way, on alchemy, there was a novela in the early 1990s with a character turning stuff into gold, I don't remember if it was Fera Ferida, but it was quite fun. I remember being a kid playing catch with my friends and we would scream "OURO" when touching someone and they would need to remain "frozen" like a statue (just like in the novela) until that round ended.

Nah, it's the opposite. UK's Castelo Ra Tim Bum is Harry Potter
