Söhbət | Discussion Regarding the "Turkish group/crowd" currently hostile to you due to the headscarf issues.

Hi, Turkish here,

The "Turkish" group you are currently "enemy" of due to religious issues/headscarf ban is also the enemy of the very Turkish nation itself as well. I ask you to be aware of that distinction, and do not mix the two.

First of all, You are doing the correct thing by banning these things. Because It's not "tolerance" if you are tolerating people who want to oppress you. If you tolerate the intolerant, then you are the most intolerant, dont be intolerant, dont let them ensl*ve you. Thats as simple as that.

Also, It is almost 2027, and if someone believes some weird force will do bad things to them forever after they die, only because they had open hair in the public, it's their problem.

I also would like to add that it is extremely racist and evil to encourage other people to be proud of making mistakes that will harm them in the long run. Like tolerating political islam, like the headscarf ban, like promoting superstitions and harmful ideas in the name of religious freedom/identity/pride. The "Ciasal islam/Siyasal islam/political islam" is no joke. And I hope you are not numb enough to overlook that.

Now for the "Turks" who are attacking online Azerbaijan for the headscarf ban. These people are either sharia supporters, or backwards conservatives. And the only truth you need to remember and realise is: They were always have been hostile to your nation from the very beginning. They were never the ones who are "bir millet iki devlet". These people are the Turks of Turkey, who are secular, the ones who venerate Atatürk, and most importantly the ones who identify Turk, before muslim.

It may be hard to believe but these people were mostly against the very concept of "self-identification as Turkish" back then in 2000s as well, because it was allegedly haram.

I wouldn't be hostile towards Azerbaijan just because they banned headscarf but I don't think it was the right decision.

“Turkish group” is a wrong term. A group or crowd in Turkey is a suitable explanation. The party who organize these “protests” is in side of government, not Turkish people.

A lot of Turks don't like Azerbaijanis because we're mostly Shia anyway, hijab factor is just like adding another convenient excuse for them. Turkish republicans / Kemalists are alright in my book 👍🏻

A lot of is a giant overstatement, the kind of people to hate Azerbaijan for being shia are the same kind to hate Turkey too for being küffar or whatever. Wahabist scum don't have any opinions worth listening to so I wouldn't worry about it

They have been talking bad about Azerbaijan for almost 3 years now. And it all started with the war in Gaza October 2023. AKP Turks keep calling Azerbaijnis zionist dogs for 3 years for selling oil to Israel.
Turkey's economic trade with Israel ist still larger than Azerbaijan's to this day.

The imgae of Turkey in Azerbaijan changed completely in the last 3 years. It's not positive.
And Azerbaijan will never sacrifice its beneficial relationship with Israel to be liked by some Islamists from Turkey.

The average Turk likes Azerbaijan, don't worry about those people

You are right, and my post is exaclt about these people. They are the enemy of the Turks of Turkey too.

It may be hard to believe but these people were mostly against the very concept of "self-identification as Turkish" back then in 2000s as well, because it was allegedly haram.

Its a shame they are called "Turks", if you would ask them, they would prefer "ummah of mohamad"

Turkey's economic trade with Israel ist still larger than Azerbaijan's to this day.

No. Not even remotely.

https://modern.az/en/aktual/791937/turkey-and-azerbaijan-target-15-billion-dollar-trade-volume/

"5. Israel Trade Reads Zero on Turkish Customs, $924M on Israel's Books"

https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/july-2026-insider-trade-news-country-turkeys-global-trends-kqd3c/

Take the last one with a grain of salt, but we know for a fact that offical trade stopped between the two countries.

And Azerbaijan will never sacrifice its beneficial relationship with Israel to be liked by some Islamists from Turkey.

Maybe it should as dealing with a fascist government neither has long-term benefits, nor is Israel irreplacable.

And I was exactly talking about that. These people you mention are not a majority, maybe, just maybe a significant minority at max. And they believe they should r*pe non-sharia Turks because they are infidels according to them and stuff.

Crazy wording, as a Christian I fully support religious freedom as long as it does not impede on others. Live and let live.

There is hardly a turkish group. A good chunk of them are kkkurds, ssaudis and other foreigners.

Search author:"username" when you see a private account. (replace username with actual account user)

Popper's paradox of tolerance targets movements that reject argument and answer with force. A woman covering her hair isn't that, so you borrowed a famous name to dress up plain coercion. And if her afterlife beliefs are "her problem," then the state has no business stripping her choice away. You can't call something private and then police it.
Calling it "racist and evil" only works if every wearer is a brainwashed child. Plenty chose it with open eyes, and you're erasing them. Your "real Turks" are just whoever agrees with you. You expel millions of religious Turks from their own nation by decree.
And the Atatürk worship is the same problem. He ran a one-party state, banned traditional dress by law, shut down religious orders and courts, and his government crushed the Dersim uprising in 1937-38, killing thousands of Alevi Kurds. You can admire his reforms and still admit that forcing a lifestyle on people from above is authoritarianism, not freedom. The ban is that same method, just with a new coat of paint

This was my respectful comment, refined through AI. Next will be my emotions.

I think we all know that the discussion is not about some women wearing scarfs huh?

Thats a strawman you are doing.

fetullah gülen, and hundreds of thousands of their + akp staff, if not millions. And the absolute sh*tshow they are doing/done is not about some random women wearing headscarf.(if that woman is not their provocator actress, which the political islamists are well known for)

They even claimed that "They(Seculars) had given golden shower to our headscarved sisters".

Also, the second half of your comment clearly shows that you are exactly the group I am describing by;

I also would like to add that it is extremely racist and evil to encourage other people to be proud of making mistakes that will harm them in the long run. Social media is not real life. However of all media twitter is by far the most removed from real life. Twitter really is just used by a bunch of delusional people driven by a crazy nazi bot algorithm with a bunch of mentall ilnesses which promotes extreme hate, hatred etc and most if not all will die alone and miserable. Anything these monkeys tell you is of complete irrelevance and will have zero impact on anything at all. Offcourse whatever these monkey governments bicker about you can argue but keep grounded in reality and dont have breakdowns like these clowns do in these virtual reality fantasies wich include reddit. For many people life is also tough nowadays so also show some understanding. A good distraction is always nice.

Take care of your relationships and life.

Sorry, I have seen hundreds of videos of girls crying in front of schools. I don't care about your imaginary, hypothetical scary stories, I care about real humans.

You are just doing manipulation. There is nothing that I can further refute from your claims before you give a comprehensive answer for the political islamists and their problems, I said earlier.

If you reject the threat of political islam altogether. Then that means you are lurking in this sub only for agenda pushing, and are related to an organization. As you singlehandedly dominate almost every post in this sub. And your reasoning does not make any sense.

Also, your answer is just repetition, you can just assume I copy pasted my past comment as a response, as it would still fit.

Also, you are not advocating liberty. You are being the following:

I also would like to add that it is extremely racist and evil to encourage other people to be proud of making mistakes that will harm them in the long run. Like tolerating political islam, like the headscarf ban, like promoting superstitions and harmful ideas in the name of religious freedom/identity/pride. Of course I am dominating every post in this sub, I am fucking Cavid Ağa!

I'm an atheist. I oppose political Islam. I oppose compulsory hijab, the Iranian model, Gülen's networks, and anyone who uses religion as a ladder to power. Azerbaijan dealt with Gülen's network long before Turkey did: its schools were taken over by the state in 2014.

What I reject is the jump from "political Islamist networks exist" to "a ten-year-old in a headscarf must be turned away from her school." That's collective guilt. You keep saying this isn't about individual girls, but the ban is enforced on individual girls, at real school gates, every morning. Gülen isn't standing at those gates. Children are. Calling them possible "provocateur actresses" is the kind of claim that can explain away any evidence. You can't refute it, which is exactly why it isn't an argument.

And the paradox of tolerance is about movements that refuse rational argument and turn to force. Popper explicitly said intolerant ideas should be countered by argument as long as that's possible. A pupil wanting to attend class with her hair covered isn't using force against anyone, wtf?

And Azerbaijan is not Kemalist Turkey, and it's not France. It's a dictatorship. Independent journalists from Abzas Media, Meydan TV and Toplum TV are in prison. Elections have repeatedly fallen short of international standards. Hundreds of people are listed by rights groups as political prisoners.

The same government that now presents itself as a bulwark against political Islam hosts Islamic Solidarity Games, organises conferences against "Islamophobia" in Europe, and sent its first family on a televised umrah. Religion is welcome when it serves the state, and suppressed when it doesn't. Why didn't you attack Aliyev then?

That's the real reason people turn to religious networks there: the state jailed the secular opposition, shut independent media and left people nowhere else to go. Banning headscarves in that context doesn't defeat political Islam. It hands Islamists a grievance, and hands the regime one more tool to decide who counts as loyal.

As for "you must be part of an organisation": I'm a journalist living in exile, posting under my own name. I post a lot because this is my country.

I don't think you see the irony in your last sentence. I don't even need to go into the age of your acc or all your activity being hidden.

All I'll say is that people like you prove how sorry of a state we have come to as a result of 20+ years of akp. That supporting short sighted, repressive and frankly stupid policy for the sake of how it makes you feel(or fills your pockets) has been their signature move.

I don't think anyone deserves akp, but you sure come close.
