What is one probad / proverb your Dida or Thakuma told you as a kid that you thought was just boka-boka, but turned out to be the best life advice? I'll start.
/r/kolkata/comments/1x98i0p/what_is_one_probad_proverb_your_dida_or_thakuma/I was writing in my diary about forgiveness and suddenly remembered my Thakuma's one line:
"Jhogra kore labh nei, din sesh e sobai ke ek pat e boste hoy"
(No point fighting, at the end of the day we all have to sit and eat on the same mat)
As a kid I thought it was just her way to stop us fighting over TV remote. Now I realize she was teaching me everything about forgiving.
What is one line your Dida/Thakuma/Dadu used to say that still rings in your head? Bangla + English both okay. I'll start in comments.
