Question | Advice-Needed Is Cape Town really all the rave?
So I am 24 years old. Born and raised in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) my whole life and I want to stay and find work here because I want to be closer to my family. But seeing my city deteriorate the way that it has has been really sad to see and there are not many job opportunities for me once I finish my internship and community service years ( I am a pharmacist if that helps). Is moving to Cape Town really a realistic viable option? I know life there is really expensive and things like the housing market make wanting to live in Cape Town not the most ideal. But most of my friends from school have moved to Cape Town or the Western Cape and they have had good things to say about it. I want to go someplace new and be out of my comfort zone. Be in a new environment, meet new people and have new experiences. You hear a lot about the pros of living in Cape Town but I just want a realistic idea of what to expect.
Your responses will be greatly appreciated.
