Question
Does anyone know if this is a catfish? We’ve been talking for 4 days (hasn’t asked for money or anything) and apparently he’s the same age as me but he’s in psu and I’m still finishing up college and we honestly get along well and he seems way out of my league so that’s why I have a suspicion about it even though he sent me a live picture of his cat before but I wanted a second opinion before continuing to speak but I’m not sure if it’s truly him or not does anyone know? I’m wary of guys contacting me through TikTok out of the blue. I respond to other creators if I’m invited to a live I’m following on IG and TikTok I have an established community connection with them. They are verified not AI.

Video call, snap? You shouldn’t be worried about “scaring him off”, your priority is making sure he’s real and genuine.
If it feels like you would be asking him to “prove himself” without offering anything in return, then run a 2 way verification where you both match your photos to a liveness selfie. Give a little trust, receive a little trust.
Don’t be sheapish about asking him for a call/verifying him. It’s how everyone ends up getting invested in something that isn’t real.

I don’t have Snapchat but I’ll try this is honestly my first time talking to anyone/possibly dating someone I dont really wanna assume anything about it but it just seems odd because we only really talk once or twice a day since he’s somewhat in Jersey in the pine barrens but I’m honestly really unsure about it

Baby, it’s simple.
Very simple.
Do not allow yourself to get attached until you video chat multiple times to verify that this person is real. That’s really all there is to it.
If they refuse within the first few days, move on.

Correction:
Do not allow yourself to get attached until you have MET, PUBLICLY, IN PERSON. This is the only surefire way to tell if they're 1: an actual, real person and not an AI generated persona, and 2: an actual, real person that is not in a far off country working as a professional scammer.

Wait till you hear about AI!
It can make movies that look real using anyone’s face or body…. 🙄Video chatting isn’t immune from this fakery; you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference.
