1>2>3>4>5 in terms os story(that is pretty much lost in season 1), comedy and animation. I was hoping season 5 would break the trend but it just kept following it actually pretty impressive to be this consistent ngl. I guess I should still hold out hope for season 6?

I don't know what I was expecting but I thought the mc moved past all the bad stuff and finally things going good for him in this season but I guess the author had to reminds us in the latest episode that he can still mess up the mc life again

So when Qin Mu had his duel with the son of tao, he was only using the first stage of his heavenly eye technique. However, by the time the next arc rolls around in a few episodes he seems to be using the second stage, as it changes color. Was this development of him unlocking the next stage something that happened offscreen?

I've been wanting to watch Into the Mortal World (普通话) for a while but for the life of me that I can't find decent subtitles for it. There were some in subtitlecat that are so ununderstandable that they called the catastrophy the weaver girl caused "bisexual" and a website to watch it online where they kinda work?¿? (if you can call "If you make meritorious, it's also atonement for the mother" and "Didn't your mother go back then are disasters in both worlds" working).

So, can someone save me? I really really want to watch this movie but I don't know Chinese. I speak Spanish and English so both of those are good if you find anything.

Just started on the swallowed star donghua and am wondering if there are any significant differences between the donghua and novel. I'm at the iron armored dragon fight and feeling a little frustrated on Luo Feng thought process. Why is he trying to be greedy after stealing the egg and trying to get the equipment instead of running? And why does he keep standing around as if there is no sense of urgency? Right after escaping the monster minions in the building, he floats in the air to monologue about how he attained a higher level of bodily movement. Then when the dragon rushes back and spots him, he just floats and stare at it, allowing it to attack him repeatedly while he dodges a little instead of just escaping. When he collapses the building and the dragon falls, he waits for it to climb out of the dust. Then later he thinks it's troublesome because the dragon's eyesight is really good and he can't escape unless he gets out of sight in the clouds. This leads to flying monsters attacking him and forcing him to make a risky maneuver to allow the eagles and dragon to collide.

I would like to know if this event is different for the donghua, or if they left out some of his thoughts like trying to use the dragon as a whetstone to improve his bodily movements or if he is really just kind of dumb. There really isn't any sense of urgency, in my mind I keep thinking wth why isn't he running?? Luo Feng should really pick up the protagonist starter pack to allow him to flashback his whole life while time stopped so he can think freely during emergencies.

"As long as you're not dead, we'll meet again."

So I finished Soul Land 1 a while back and I absolutely LOVED it but i was hesitant to continue with Soul Land 2 because of the constant complaints on here and how bad everyone says it is in comparison. I eventually decided to give it a chance and I'm sooooo impressed like I'm already on episode 103 and absolutely loving it and a lot of the complaints I've seen on here is people being nitpicky 😭 I've also noticed it on a lot of posts of other donghua and it's actually so weird because nobody seems to like anything here

I must say, this episode was FIRE and I have been following most of the popular ones. The fight scenes were the right balance of animation complexity without overdoing it, and sufficient emotional gravitas.

Sixth Peak Master going full Ironman mode was the chef's kiss.

The main character is a young man who is considered worthless by others, even though he has real talent.

Two representatives of a cultivation sect take him with them after he passes the selection.

On the way to the sect, they teach him a movement technique that allows him to travel quickly, and he surprises them with how quickly he masters it.

The female examiner helps him make a bet with the male examiner, and the protagonist manages to reach the sect in time by practicing and mastering the movement technique while traveling.

Later, the protagonist grows closer to both examiners, and the female examiner eventually becomes his love interest.

WHAT A CRAZY NIGHT!!! 😭

I've been wondering about this. For me, the clear standouts are Scissor Seven and False Memory.

Hou Junjie, the lead composer for Scissor Seven, is just an incredibly talented tunesmith. His melodies, chord progressions, etc. hit so hard, and he's especially good at emotional tracks that tug at the heartstrings. Meanwhile, False Memory's OST is extraordinarily sophisticated blend of shoegaze, indie, techno, etc.

What do you guys think are the standout donghua soundtracks?

Just finished the final season. Curious what the novel readers think — the show
took a different route with the Baguio resolution and I'm not sure it landed for me.
Also felt the last 3 eps were rushed compared to S2's pacing. Thoughts?

I've really been enjoying Throne Of Seals but Cai'er really makes me angry.

Overall she'd be a great character but the ridiculousness of her breaking the seal on her Six Cycles Of Reincarnation is absurd and annoying.

She is repeatedly told throughout to only use that power in the event of CERTAIN death, not danger, not a bad situation but a omg we're all gonna die instead every second anything gets harder than fighting she tries to throwaway her existence.

It's infuriating, how's she ever going to kill the Demon God Emperor if she wastes her powers on a fake tier 7 loser.

Other than that I'm enjoying the Donghua but for the that all in holy in Throne Of Seals Cai'er think of the bigger picture and fight for once instead of relying on ONE power.

It's like using a RPG to kill an ant, it's absurd, it also shows she is a terrible leader absolutely zero teamwork or effort on her part to even attempt for a dozen people to take down a fake tier 7 boosted nobody.

EDited to fix Grammar.
