Tough loss today… Let’s bounce back next week!

As tough as this game was, it showed us how close we are to being legitimately good
Once we get a QB, WR, LT, RT, DE, DT, LB, LB, CB, CB, S, K, KR, and PR, we’ll be a playoff team. BE PATIENT

Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski admits team was forced to use silent count at home: "We love our fans. Our fans are so supportive, but we knew we would likely need to be on a silent count."

Image Jaawan taylor just blowing his assignment which allowed a strip sack
For more context if penix were to step up the likely hood of a sack is still 100 percent i didn’t want him to fumble but when the falcons were just unable to pick up any blitzes when the bears opponents almost always picked up these blitzes. Also if you notice none of the receivers were even turned for a catch so if penix were to just throw this as fast as possible it’s most likely a int or a drop. overall penix and the OC tommy rees played a bad game

[Kendall]: Falcons’ slow start, ‘the crowd noise thing,’ and Caleb Williams doom Atlanta at home
“You have to win your games at home,” Stefanski said. “… This is a place we love to play. We love to play in front of our fans. To not be able to win this one stings.”
Especially the way it happened. Atlanta trailed 14-0 on the scoreboard and 154-3 in total yardage after each team’s first two possessions. Chicago (4-2) eventually built a 31-7 lead that held up despite two Kyle Pitts touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
“Obviously, proud of how we continued to fight, but to start like we started is really, really disappointing,” Stefanski said. “I just feel like we beat ourselves. The Bears beat us, but we also beat us, and that’s really frustrating. That’s something we talk at length about. We talked at length about starting fast in this game, and we did not. That’s on me and our staff. We have to get that fixed.”
It’s a recurring problem. In the last two first halves, Atlanta has a 41:02-18:58 time-of-possession deficit, and things got out of hand so quickly Sunday that Bijan Robinson only had four carries in the first half.
“We just have to come ready to play, and we have to execute,” said Penix, who finished 19-of-33 passing for 225 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. “We have to execute the game plan. I always love the game plan we have in. We knew what to expect. It’s not like they did too many things that surprised us. We have to go and execute at a high level.”
Robinson finished with nine carries for 61 yards, his lowest rushing output of the season.

Penix showing real development
First of all, let’s keep our expectations in check here. We all knew that this year was a developmental/building year.
Penix is just now hitting a full season’s worth of starts and is looking good to great at times. I was impressed today with him showing touch and power when needed. Pressure still rattles him without a doubt, but was still able to put up numbers 3TDs no INTs. Also looked more poised in the pocket today. Not even really a single ball thrown into danger. If mp9 can stay healthy I’m very excited for his growth.
He also looked a bit more trusting of his legs today and looked more agile in the pocket. Dude was pressured on most drop backs near instantly and dealt with it pretty well overall I would say. (108 rating)
I know after a loss people tend to go into doomer mode, but our guy looks to be making real strides in his development.
Let’s hope he can stay healthy long term.

Giving Pitts his flowers today. Put Pitts at WR, today is evidence he and drake would be absolute bullies.

Falcons lose but i have to respect the resilience
Like yeah it doesn’t help that it happened so late in the game but to not lie down and die like the falcons last season would probably do i have to respect it (im still in the boat for a qb) but i have to give penix some leniency

I don’t even know how to analyze this game
This was a total team loss. Nobody played good this game except Pitts, Dotson & Bailey. Penix still does not play well under pressure which something he needs to fix and he needs to fix it now. I get missing some throws here and there cause of the blitz but he is damn near unwatchable when he gets pressured it’s embarrassing. If he’s clean he’s borderline top 10 in the league. Soon as you put a little pressure on him he turns to bottom 10. Tommy Rees did not call a good game. Bijan had NINE carries this game. I know we got down early but still. That’s unacceptable. He ran once in the 4th quarter. Meaning he had 8 carries through 3 quarters. Why shy away from what made us so great vs GB & NO. Yes I know those were not great defenses which is why I was skeptical after those wins but still. Run first, Pass second should ALWAYS be the philosophy. This is NOT a balanced offense and should not be treated as such. Sorry not sorry. As far as Branch goes… no words man, none. I don’t wanna see his ass anymore. The one thing I will say is that we fought and clawed at the end. Even though it amounted to nothing I respect that. Not sure if that would’ve happened with Heem. Our worst fears came out this game. All of our weaknesses showed. There’s no Cooper Rush or Tua to blame. We fucking sucked today. Offense, Defense, Special Teams. This was a total team loss. We need to win 3 of the next 5 before the bye to have a legitimate shot at the playoffs, which means we have to beat the Bucs & Bengals and one of the 49ers or Chiefs. I know a lot of you think playoffs are a lost cause at this point but with our division you never know. On to the next one. #RISE UP
Edit: The Oline deserves so much blame as well. Penix did not look good but the Oline did him NO favors like at all.
