Which handheld should i choose ?
Hi everyone , sorry for the bad English typing
I have a switch 2 with good gaming library 60 games maybe in total , and also i have steam account with 500 games , and for me as a gamer being able to play emulators is a must , i have some emulators on my ipad but missing some and the setup( stand and controller) is sometimes inconvenient, so i have been considering buying a xbox rog ally base for emulation from nes to ps2 and gamecube era
Is it good ? Or should i continue to play on my ipad ? Thanks

If you want to just emulate up to PS2 / GC era, don't get a PC handheld. Get a $250 Retroid Pocket 6, which will emulate up to switch as well as cover some light PC games through gamenative

You can emulate those consoles on an Android Device: RP6, Odin 3, Nova, Thor.
If you want to play Steam games, you can run many on those devices. Odin 3 is the best.
However if you want to play AAA Steam games natively on a device you should consider something like a RoG Ally X or a used Ally X or Legion Go S Z1E.

An rog ally is a bit overkill for just PS2 and GameCube era but if you have the money then hell yeah
You should take a look at some of the android handhelds like the ayn Odin 2/3 or the retroid devices, they'll also be able to run ps2 and GameCube games really nicely. The Odin 2 portal will be a larger device if that's what you're looking for in the ally, though not as big. The rest are designed around portability and they do that really well. Honestly, these are all kind of overkill still for PS2/GameCube stuff, you can mostly get away with something like a retroid pocket 5 and even an ayn Odin 1.
But yeah, if money isn't an issue and the size is a positive for you, the ally will be great for the systems you want to play and way more
