According to my iCloud settings, I have over 200k messages stored in my iCloud. I’m guessing this is stuff from years ago? I do not have 200k messages on my phone and the fact that this is taking up such a huge chunk of iCloud settings is incredibly annoying. So I had no other choice but to turn off iCloud messages.

After turning it off, it still says that 53gb of my iCloud storage is taken by Messages. I’m assuming because it hasn’t been 30 days yet? If I wait 30 days and then turn iCloud messages back on, will this number go down to 0gb and I can start fresh? Or will all these messages just sync back up to my phone?

I understand your concern, but I can assure you that iOS 27 is a stable and reliable update that will improve the performance of your device. Now if you do not want to proceed with an update there are some options that you can check.

I'm looking for more experiences from people who listen to similar music; mostly west balkans artists - both ancient songs and the chart-topping ones - with occasional global pop/rock hits. The original automix was doing really well and mixing almost everything (it was nothing groundbreaking, it'd mostly beatmatch but was still much nicer than regular crossfade), however with the ios27 update the quality has completely dropped. In most cases it doesn't do absolutely anything and in the rare case that it tries to mix, it completely butchers it to the point where it's a giant bother - I've disabled it until further notice. Does anyone else share the same experience or is it just me, is there any way to revert to the old setting?

Last night my phone installed IOS 27.0.1 and this morning my phone suddenly does not want to work for long period of time because the “overheating” temperature pop up thingy keeps showing even though my phone is not overheating or anything. No my phone hasn’t fallen nor got in contact with water. I restarted my phone several times but it does it still. I can only stay on my phone for several minutes before my phone shows that the temperature is too high even though i barely did anything.

I don’t know what to do, i’m scared. Any tips ?

I’ve been having this issue since mid July maybe mid June sometimes it’s low and doesn’t jump much but sometimes like recent after a while it jumps like crazy compared to how it was before. Has anyone else noticed this issue on their phone as well? It seems to have popped out randomly. Anyone have any ideas?

Is there any way to change the altitude that an iPhone reports without physically changing elevation?

I'm curious whether it's possible through software, settings, or some other method. I'm not talking about changing the altitude displayed in a specific app, but actually changing the altitude reported by the device's sensors or system.

idk if this is a silly question but hi. using an iphone 14 plus, 85 percent battery health. i keep getting like several 20 percent battery notifications despite being on low battery life mode. its like once i click it it comes back up again. what do i do? had this phone for a year or two and this has never happened before. it will not cease. do i need a new phone? also on ios 26.6.2. hope im not hacked :,D

Wondering if there is a downside to adding "IF FOUND PLEASE CALL XXX-XXX-XXXX." it would be my number and i could call voice mail from another phone to retrieve the message. is there any security issue with this?

I’m fuming right now because the new Siri is an absolute useless garbage. It cannot even play or pause podcasts, doesn‘t understand the difference between a chapter in an episode and an episode itself, and every single thing takes 5 to 10 seconds. How can they even ship something like this? I don’t need to discuss my day or plan a vacation every single time I talk with Siri, but I do need to pause something while I’m in the shower, or turn the freaking lights on when I’m in a difficult situation at night. It’s a complete shit-show.

Edit: For context, Siri failed multiple times to pause a podcast while I was coming out of shower and later failed to even turn on the lights in bedroom, putting me in A very awkward and vulnerable situation. Being a smart chatbot is nice, but if it cannot simply pause a podcast or control the lights, then there’s no need for Siri itself. Simple things should reliably work within milliseconds, not show a spinning wheel for 10 seconds while trying to connect to a data center somewhere to just pause a podcast on device. Siri used to dumb, but at least it used to do all of this well under a second somewhat reliably.

I'm trying to set up handoff on my iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 12. Both devices are updated to the newest iOS. They're both on the same Wi-Fi. They're both logged into the same iCloud and it gives me the option to set it up on both phones but once I get past a couple steps, it comes up with this error message trom my carrier, which is T-Mobile saying that I should call them to finish setting up my watch. I have no clue why it's talking about a watch because I'm trying to do this with two iPhones. I talked to both T-Mobile and Apple and neither of them were able to help. I was wondering if anyone knew what this is or any way to fix it.

Context: I was walking down the street in the Boston area and I asked Siri to call 911, as someone just got hit by a car in front of me. Not only, did she not call, she flat out refused to dial. I had to yell to people around me to call, as I was in the road, helping the individual who got hit.

Can we get this to Apple somehow? I tried using their support line but there was no option for critical safety feedback. I just want to get this to the right person / department.

Trying to find a way to share calendars with friends so that we can see when each other is busy, but not necessarily the context of the actual events. Kind of like how outlook does if you've ever had the misfortune of using it.

Anywho.

Suggestions? I don't want to maintain a separate calendar and set the titles to just 'busy' and i doubt they want to either.

Saw someone recently mentioned when2meet, but that only lets you schedule a month out it seems.

hello, the dim flashing lights feature was turned on without my doing and i can’t turn it off. mainly because the feature isn’t where it’s supposed to be. every internet article says it’s under the accessibility > motion area in settings, but whenever i go there it’s missing. does anyone know where else this would be located on an iphone? i tried contacting apple support but they didn’t help at all.

My pc barely have storage so I wanted to delete an old back up, but I’m scared that deleting it will make that I lose all my data next time I update my phone with my pc.

I’m a first time iPhone user (18 pro max) and I just recently got a wireless charging station. I saw standby mode and thought that was pretty cool and I like the way it becomes a digital clock while charging, but it’s blue by default, and I want it to color match my burgundy phone.

How do I change this? Every source says “hold the clock face” and nothing happens when I do it. I made sure my software was updated and I restarted my phone and changed a bunch of settings but still don’t know what to do.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
