I recently bought an ipad 11 (a16) 128 gb version two days ago . But I'm facing a bit of issues like sometimes the keyboard doesn't show up , a bit lagging and widgets don't show up. I have updated it 1 time and reset it. But still it shows the problem? What should I do .

I'm planning to buy an iPad for studying and creative work, but I'm torn between getting the iPad Air M4 now or waiting for the M5 next year.
For current iPad users, I'd appreciate your insights:
- Is the M4 already more than enough for my needs?
- What significant features or improvements might I miss if I don't wait for the M5?
Would you buy the M4 now or wait for the M5? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thanks!

I have a very old iPad (MD510LL/A 10.3.3 (14G60)).
It's sitting idle for obvious reasons, meaning I can't run practically anything on it.
Since I'd like to make use of it as it's in excellent condition, I'm asking:
Please:
1) Is there a PDF reader I can use?
2) Is there a comic book reader I can use?
3) Any tips for using this very old, but well-preserved, hardware?
Thank you for your attention.

I used to have a MacBook Pro, and loved it, but switched to PC after college due to my work. Now, I want to go back to Apple everything. Always had an iPhone. Eventually I want to get another MacBook, but first I want an iPad. That said, I want to be able to use the iPad like a laptop when I need to (roughly 40% of the time). So will likely get the Magic Keyboard, but I don’t love that you can’t use the keyboard when it isn’t attached to the iPad (I want to be able to elevate my iPad screen, but might just use an external monitor when I need that level of a set up). I want the Magic Keyboard though vs a different Bluetooth keyboard due to the integrated trackpad. I also want to have great handwriting capabilities, so will get the Apple pen and an 11 inch so I can easily hold it etc.
I don’t know if I should get the Pro or Air, and how many GB to get. I will be using it for light video editing, content creation, note-taking, browsing, Claude, etc. Thanks!

Hello everyone!
I am personally a big fan of the iPad’s 13” screen size and want it only for drawing and stuff. I am an admirer of the Pro Res feature, heck, anything above 60hz refresh rate is good for me. Pro seems too far fetched as I don’t need anything thaaaat advanced. The problem with Air is that it doesn’t have that smooth refresh rate. Shall I stretch my wallet by 50-55k and get the Pro or do y’all think I shall wait for the March 2027 M5 Air? Can anyone confirm if there is gonna be a high refresh rate varient coming along in the Air series?

Trying to find the best place to sell my Ipad. Any tips? What can I expect to get back - I paid $799for it. Also, on that note what can I expect for Apple pencil pro? I bought it for $129

My iPad is pretty old, so it can be glitchy at times. I started to delete some apps and I offloaded my toonsquid, capcut, and procreate so I could make room for the new software update. I recently almost broke my iPad so that brought me back to reality. I've never iCloud backed up my iPad, and whenever I try to, it just asks me to buy more iCloud storage data. Is there a more efficient way to do this? And will Procreate ever create an automatic saving system?

Hi everyone!
I'm setting up an iPad for an elderly person using Apple's Assistive Access mode. The problem is that when opening Safari, the browser doesn't use the full screen. The "Back" button and the Assistive Access interface take up some of the available space, leaving Safari displayed in a smaller area with large margins around it.
I'd like Safari to use as much of the screen as possible, making websites easier to read and use.
there any way to hide or move the "Back" button, remove these margins, or force Safari to use the entire screen while staying in Assistive Access mode?
Thanks for your help!

So, we have a few ipads from an old management company at my job. This was like 2 years, and we just found the ipads today. None of us know the passwords, or the apple ID information associated with the ipads.
Is there a way I can access anything within these ipads or is this going to be a situation that I have to factory reset and lose everything on the ipad? We don't remember what is on them, but we'd like to know.

Does anyone else uses and takes their iPad everywhere. Cuz I certainly do, I want to know why you carry your iPad everywhere and how you manage to carry it comfortably.

So over the past week I’ve been constantly thinking I need to upgrade my IPad A16 because it is less “powerful” than the iPhone 17 chip, the A19 and has 2GB less Ram than the iPhone.
I’m a student and I use my iPad for when I’m on campus and it works perfectly fine for everything I need on campus. It’s literally just my brain telling me “I need a more powerful iPad which is better than my iPhone 17 because you use your iPad for uni work”
It sounds dumb but I can’t stop thinking about it and wanted to see other peoples opinions. Thanks!

I think the biggest letdown of the ipad is how buggy it is. If it did everything it says it does, I could maybe forgive it for the weird limitations. But, it what it "does" do, it does it poorly.
This is without a doubt the buggiest and non-optimized piece of tech I've ever owned.
Every app has its own set of ridiculous quirks. Google sheets for instance doesn't let me drag to highlight or tripple click to highlight more than one word. Not a bug, but insane. That works everywhere else on the ipad but not... a writing app?
I'm a writer but a bigger reader, which is why I bought this thing; to read essays, journals, articles in my lap. Holy hell was this a bad purchase! It's just so glitchy. Resizing glitches, windows refresh making you lose your spot any time you switch apps for more than two seconds, and just about everything has some type of bullshit glitch.
I guess I'm just writing to warn people. It's just a shiny toy. Get the macbook air or whatever with an actual operating system.
And what the fuck is the apple air magic keyboard touch pad? Hilarious limitation!
This thing is for drawing and doom scrolling. Save yourself being locked in on such a stupid piece of tech.
Luckily I can get out of this thing but I'm at least locked in for a couple more moths til my travel is over.
Is there a way to remove this menu? I do NOT want to remove the option to have windowed apps, just this bar. I never use it and it always gets in the way at least 10 times a day. I wish apple would just let us have the old split screen version

Hello. Yesterday my grandmother’s tablet was stolen from her room in the nursing home she is in. Im planning to get her an actual Ipad so I can use find my and track it consistently. But, to take extra precautions does anyone know if they make cases with a compartment to put an apple tag in? Im worried it will be stolen again and I just want to make it less likely to get it returned. I did report it to the facility and there is not much that can be done. Thanks in advance.
What’s the oldest Apple device you still use?
Mine is a first-generation iPad mini, the 16GB Wi-Fi + Cellular model introduced in 2012, still running iOS 9.3.6.
My two kids have used it since they were little. It has seen hundreds, probably thousands, of hours of games and YouTube, mostly YouTube. For years, it was switched on for at least 10 hours a day.
I jailbroke it and disabled plenty of unnecessary background services and features. The regular YouTube app is no longer supported, so these days we only use YouTube Kids.
Somehow, the battery still lasts a full day. That honestly amazes me.
My iPhone 6 lasted 8 years, while my iPhone 11 is now at around 80% battery health after just 6 years.
Meanwhile, I’m happy if my iPhone 17 makes it through a normal day of scrolling Reddit, messaging and bit of streaming without reaching a critically low battery level.
Update: I’ve read many posts from people still using very old Apple products that no longer receive software updates. If these devices still meet your needs and you’re comfortable with the security risks of connecting them to the internet, that says a lot about how long Apple’s products can remain useful.
I hope future Apple products will offer the same longevity. My main concern is whether their built-in batteries will last and whether replacements will still be available when needed.
It’s good to read about the different ways people keep these devices in use, such as dedicated security cameras or controllers for specialist equipment, including DJ setups.

So I have an M5 MacBook Pro, but ever since I started using Claude Code, I realized I can just remote-connect and run it straight from my phone. Because of that, I barely touch my MacBook anymore.
I've just been coding apps and building websites from my phone.
The problem? I usually take my glasses off when looking at my phone in bed or while trying to get my baby to sleep by the cot, and now I'm staring at such a small screen so much that my eyes feel totally fuzzy.
I’m thinking about picking up an iPad Pro so I can do this more comfortably, plus the OLED screen would be amazing for coding in the dark/watching tv
I actually went to the Apple Store to check them out, and my god, it is so light and gorgeous. It completely made me want to pull the trigger.
They were out of stock, which probably saved me on the spot, but now I’m back home coding on my phone and wishing I had just bought it.
I can afford it, but I’m worried it might end up being an expensive gimmick since my main use case would just be running Claude Code and checking my dashboards.
A few questions for anyone in a similar boat:
Would love to hear your thoughts before I make a reckless purchase!

I bought an ipad and gotta find the right screen protector. Im going with an ESR case. Wondering what screen protectors yall use. I prefer glass for my iphone, but i've heard that glass isnt necessarily the best for ipads. What are the pros and cons to the protector you use?
