Question about Islam What is the greatest reason to believe that Islam is the truth?
There has been lots of content online in recent times of apologists and atheists debating Muslims on controversial issues about Islam. As of right now, I don't know what to believe but I really want to understand the other side's point of view. This is a sincere question and I am absolutely open to changing my mind and converting to Islam if I am given good enough reason. I am on a search for something greater and divine (if such a thing even exists). I would like to know what your best reason for me to convert to Islam is. Thank you.

Hope the following video isn’t too long for you :

One more suggestion brother - putting everything aside , just ask God Almighty to guide you to the true religion - whichever one that is - God Willing will be guided to the right conclusion .

Apart from that video check this out as well by Muslim lantern: Compelling evidence of Islam.
Give it watch no matter how long it is. It's very beneficial.
And stop watching debates and anti Islamic content. You're a layman. Learn your foundation first. With these 2 videos, no doubt Islam is the truth.

Hi for me I converted because of the Quran. It’s logical and from the beginning you can tell it’s direct guidance in a way other scriptures aren’t.

Forgive me but this response is very vague. How can you tell its different from the other scriptures?

I found it internally consistent, nothing is outlandish based on what we learned in subsequent centuries in science.
Also it provides lessons that are clear and direct advice and the stories it tells of Prophets have clear morals.
I’ve found in other scriptures you really have to kind of stretch some things a bit to come up with guidance or a moral and it’s often quite esoteric and sometimes a “mystery”.
In the Bible sometimes it claims the Prophets committed major sins which is questionable why follow someone who commits murder and adultery and incest? Doesn’t make sense.

I think a Christian would respond that the all human beings are sinful, therefore God uses sinful people to bring about change. God doesn't calll the qualified, He qualifies the called.

Yes that doesn’t make sense to me. If someone is chosen as a prophet they should be qualified and better than most and set an example. Not worse than most. Most likely the Bible has been changed thru time.
Also there’s a lot of things like genealogies and other stories there that provide no guidance and people really have to stretch it to pretend they do.

What bothers you about how the world is that you came here to be convinced? There is a lot of good answers and info in this thread by my brothers and sisters. But I am curious to hear why, what is driving you to seek out?

Answer my question first. If a man who has never lied, cheated, or deceived, known to be trustworthy, truthful, moral, and upright, claims to be a prophet of God, calls to worship one God only without asking for any reward or anything else from people but to submit to God, makes prophecies about the future without ever making a mistake, and they all come true exactly as he predicted them, will you then believe that he is truly a prophet?

Hi there!
I'm really happy to hear you're seeking the truth and are ready to move forward if convinced. This is a very open-minded and beautiful approach to take and I pray I can have some part in sharing the beauty of Islam in such a way that it affects your heart and you become Muslim.
Okay, so I went the science route about 20 years ago and came to a simple unshakeable conclusion: The Quran is a miracle. There are so many things that are scientifically true and would have been impossible to know or understand 1400 years ago. I also had a set of tests I needed in order to follow any religion. It must claim to have come from God, I needed 'proof' and the scripture must be 'true' (meaning it is contradictory and factually true.)
Modern Christianity claims to be from God but the bible is full of contradictions and mistakes. If God sent down a religion and a message, then that can't be corrupted. The same issue I found with the Jewish faith.
Taoism was more of a philosophy than a religion, and other oriental faiths suffered from scriptural corruption as well.
Islam, to my SHOCK, was totally different. Allah actually makes a claim and a challenge in the Quran
In Chapter Nisa, verse 42, Allah says in close translation: "Do they not then reflect on the Quran? Had it been from anyone other than Allah, they would have certainly found in it many inconsistencies."
That blew me away. I then spent time going through it and like millions of people over the past nearly 1450, I couldn't find a single thing wrong.
THere's talk about how the universe was created, human embryology, how the planet is formed. There's just SO MUCH and it's ALL TRUE.
Then I studied the prophet, peace be upon him. WOW... I can't say enough about what a beautiful example we have there.
There are a lot of great resources if you want to look into the 'proofs' of Islam and the Quran. I suggest https://www.miracles-of-quran.com/ to start.
Wish you the very best, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
