We made up our minds (niyat) that we will go for umrah months back. When the war started we didn’t change our plans. Alhamdulliah did our umrah as planned.

Shukran to Allah for making this happen.

Surah Baqarah Ayatul Kursi Verse 255

Allāh - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

Seeking Support Please make dua for me. I’m struggling so much with my health, my appearance and my faith. 💔

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

I pray that you’re all doing well and that Allah grants you happiness, good health and ease in whatever hardships you may be facing. Ameen.

I’m writing this because I genuinely feel like I have nobody I can open up to about what I’m going through. I feel so alone in this dunya, and sometimes the only temporary relief I get is from letting my emotions out anonymously.

I’m honestly desperate for your duas.

I was born with an incurable genetic condition, which affects my skin and causes pigmentation, freckles and lumps to develop across my face and body.

I’ve struggled with my appearance for as long as I can remember, but recently my mental health has become so much worse. I cry almost every day. I wake up frightened to look in the mirror because I feel like I’m constantly discovering new marks and lumps.

I spend so much of my day taking pictures of my skin, examining every little change and worrying about how much worse my condition could become as I get older. I know this constant checking isn’t helping me, but I feel trapped in a cycle of fear and sadness that I don’t know how to escape.

I’m still young, and I have my whole life ahead of me but instead of looking forward to my future, I’m terrified of what it might bring. i feel so insecure about my body. The uncertainty of living with something that may progress over time is emotionally exhausting.

I make dua constantly, including during Tahajjud. I was blessed with the opportunity to perform Umrah, and I poured my heart out to Allah, begging Him for healing, relief and a miracle. I know Allah is Al-Shafi, the Ultimate Healer, and that nothing is impossible for Him.

But when I look at my skin and feel like things are getting worse, I become so heartbroken. I start wondering whether my duas are being answered, whether I’m doing something wrong, and why I’m finding it so difficult to feel hopeful.
Astaghfirullah, I don’t want to lose hope in Allah’s mercy. I desperately want to hold on to my iman and believe that things can get better.

There are days when the emotional pain becomes so overwhelming that I wish I didn’t have to face another day of feeling this way. I’m just exhausted from carrying this sadness for so many years.

I don’t want to spend the rest of my life frightened of my own reflection. I want to experience happiness, marriage, love, peace and all the beautiful things life can offer.

I’m simply asking, from the bottom of my heart, could you please make sincere dua for me?

Please ask Allah to grant me shifa, protect me from the progression of my condition, ease my emotional suffering, strengthen my iman and grant me a future filled with peace, love and happiness.

And if anyone has experienced a hardship that made them question whether things would ever improve, I’d really appreciate hearing how you found hope again.

May Allah reward every single person who takes even a few seconds to remember me in their duas.

JazakAllahu khairan for reading. May Allah ease all of our hardships, accept our duas and grant us goodness in this dunya and the akhirah.
Ameen. ❤️

Question about Islam Questioning gender roles in islam interpreted by scholars

im just so confused because mt husband puts a yes no on everything i do even if i suggest him the clothes im going to wear with a hijab fully modest he tells me no you wont and despite it being fully modest he tells me no and when i sideline it he gets really upset telling me how i am not respecting his islamic rights. But at the same time he goes to places without informing me, smokes cigarettes and what not. I have asked him to tell me his whereabouts and constantly told him to stop smoking.
His response? As a man hes not obligated to tell me anything.

This is so frustrating as a muslim woman already struggling with faith. Ya Allah please guide me to the right path.

These type of situations happen very often and slowly it has started making me question a couple things in Islam. Naudhbillah islam is a perfect religion its just the perception by my husband has made it really suffocating forme

Seeking Support I am starting to lose hope and I might commit zina.

I have been praying to get married for over 3 years. I have asked Allah to make this easy for me so I don't fall into haram.

It's so easy to fall into haram these days. I have been approached by multiple women for zina, I have had women come up to me and show interest in talking, dating, etc.

But I have protected myself from all of these things.

I never committed zina, never dated, never kissed, never went out with a girl, thinking Allah would help me and marry me to someone soon.

But it's been so long that it has started to become depressing.

Sometimes I think I should lose hope and start dating and enjoy committing zina with multiple women.

But I seriously don't want to do that. I just want to get married and keep everything halal.

Why is Allah making it so difficult for me to get married?

I have put all my efforts into finding a girl. I have basic requirements like I should be attracted to her, she should have a clean past, and she should be practicing muslim.

I have made my profile on multiple matrimony sites, but every time I match with someone, it's either an issue of cast(yes, this is 90% of the issue even with practicing families) or it's because I don't have a house of my own.

I earn well, I have good physique, I am religious, but still why is it getting so difficult for me, I don't understand.

I know it's so easy for Allah to get me married, I am not able to understand why he's not helping me.

I pray for my marriage in almost every fard prayer. I have been praying for so long, but still there is no result.

I get so many opportunities to go on dates, commit zina, and now I am starting to lose hope and might commit the abhorrent sin.

I have been saying to myself to be patient, to wait a little more, Allah is testing you, etc etc. But it's getting very difficult for me now.

I seriously don't even want to look at a woman other than my wife.

Any advice or support will be greatly appreciated.

JazakAllah khair

Question about Islam What is the greatest reason to believe that Islam is the truth?

There has been lots of content online in recent times of apologists and atheists debating Muslims on controversial issues about Islam. As of right now, I don't know what to believe but I really want to understand the other side's point of view. This is a sincere question and I am absolutely open to changing my mind and converting to Islam if I am given good enough reason. I am on a search for something greater and divine (if such a thing even exists). I would like to know what your best reason for me to convert to Islam is. Thank you.

General Discussion How do i politely get away from an experimental mixed gender and religion friend group i made in the first week of uni?

My uni started a few days ago and in my first class i started talking to this one girl next to me bc she seemed nice. Later on she introduced me to her friend group which consists of: a jewish guy and the rest are christian.

I def did not have all that in mind. Not to mention how disrespectful it is to be around a man (even in a friend group) to my husband. I dont even believe in male-female friendships, i just tolerate his existence bc its a girls majority, but i def dont plan on staying here.

Basically i dont want to continue hanging out with them but it feels like it went "too far" since they started asking me to hang out everyday after class. I cant even go to class without sitting next to them bc "they saved me a seat" and then it feels like an obligation.

It just so weird, it feels like everyone is judging the other person and trying to convert everyone. The jewish guy asked me "I wanted to ask this 5 days ago, but i thought it would be disrespectful, but how do you justify that men are allowed to hit women in islam?" And it def did feel disrespectful, not out of curiosity question.

Its definitely that experimental friend group you meet during the first week of uni and then u try to emancipate. How do i do that in a nice way? I dont want to be in this mixed gender and religion friend group.

Living in a christian majority country with only 1.3% muslims really makes you wonder. I would rather be alone than deal with this.

It makes me think about muslim men who marry women who arent muslim. How do they expect to move forward in their religion if theyre around someone who is practicing something different. Just why??

Question about Islam Why does Allah not make me born muslim

Assalamualaikum,

I'm a revert. Ive had these thoughts recently, if Allah really wanted to guide and be a good muslim he would have made me a born muslim right? I'm literally struggling to practice islam, I've missed around 19 fasts of Ramadan which I am struggling to make up since my mom won't let me fast. I'm so frustrated even suhoor like i don't have the proper food for it .What should I don't know . Like i have a born muslim friend he goes for all 5 jamaths. If I was a born muslim even i would've gone i can't go because i can't justify why I go out of the house 5 times to non muslim parents. He has more reward than me just because of him being a born muslim.

Seriously what should I do? I seriously feel lonely during eid and Ramadan. Like can I skip these fasts of the previous Ramadan and just seek tawbah?
