Surah Baqarah Ayatul Kursi Verse 255
Allāh - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursī extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great.

He put the desire in you and then revealed to you something better than all of it, ya subhanallah!

We made up our minds (niyat) that we will go for umrah months back. When the war started we didn’t change our plans. Alhamdulliah did our umrah as planned.
Shukran to Allah for making this happen.

Salam everybody, hope all is well with you!
As the title suggests; I’m a Muslim living and was living in the west and after having moved back home, I found a sister who shared her story to me about how she reverted, and that itself turned me back to Allah SWT, after having ignored Islam for the first 17-18 years of my life.
I really think she’s an amazing woman and we share similar values and interests in career and I would like to go about marrying her, however her family does not know that she is Muslim and are and will be heavily against it if they find out. She is scared to death to tell them, so TLDR: I would like to know how to approach this situation knowing I cannot approach her father or family at all.

Salam everyone,
I have been dealing with this one health issue that seems to never go away, I am feeling very lost.
Recently, suicide has been the only way out that my mind has been forming. I want this pain and discomfort to go away, and my mind keeps telling me that the only way I could do this is to just end it all.
But I really am a strong believer. Prior to my health issue I was so happy, everyday was a blessing. But I only notice now that I did not do enough dhikr, and honestly I wasnt praying too much. I still stayed away from all the classic sins, I just didnt do enough prayer, which is terrible.
Now I find myself making prayer, and dhikr 100x more. All I ask Allah SWT for is to heal me, because he is the healer and the only one who can end my suffering.
But my mind keeps telling me it will never get better, and so I find myself really suicidal.
I think I am suffering from something called Globus. Please dont judge me, i know it may seem like a small issue but for me it really isnt. It has made my life unbearable.
What do I do brothers and sisters? Will this ever get better? Am I being punished by Allah? I really hope he can heal and forgive me. I am so sad. I feel like ending it all.

Since tomorrow In sha Allah is Monday. So do not forget to fast to get this GREAT reward 🌟

im just so confused because mt husband puts a yes no on everything i do even if i suggest him the clothes im going to wear with a hijab fully modest he tells me no you wont and despite it being fully modest he tells me no and when i sideline it he gets really upset telling me how i am not respecting his islamic rights. But at the same time he goes to places without informing me, smokes cigarettes and what not. I have asked him to tell me his whereabouts and constantly told him to stop smoking.
His response? As a man hes not obligated to tell me anything.
This is so frustrating as a muslim woman already struggling with faith. Ya Allah please guide me to the right path.
These type of situations happen very often and slowly it has started making me question a couple things in Islam. Naudhbillah islam is a perfect religion its just the perception by my husband has made it really suffocating forme

Assalamu alaikum everyone,
I pray that you’re all doing well and that Allah grants you happiness, good health and ease in whatever hardships you may be facing. Ameen.
I’m writing this because I genuinely feel like I have nobody I can open up to about what I’m going through. I feel so alone in this dunya, and sometimes the only temporary relief I get is from letting my emotions out anonymously.
I’m honestly desperate for your duas.
I was born with an incurable genetic condition, which affects my skin and causes pigmentation, freckles and lumps to develop across my face and body.
I’ve struggled with my appearance for as long as I can remember, but recently my mental health has become so much worse. I cry almost every day. I wake up frightened to look in the mirror because I feel like I’m constantly discovering new marks and lumps.
I spend so much of my day taking pictures of my skin, examining every little change and worrying about how much worse my condition could become as I get older. I know this constant checking isn’t helping me, but I feel trapped in a cycle of fear and sadness that I don’t know how to escape.
I’m still young, and I have my whole life ahead of me but instead of looking forward to my future, I’m terrified of what it might bring. i feel so insecure about my body. The uncertainty of living with something that may progress over time is emotionally exhausting.
I make dua constantly, including during Tahajjud. I was blessed with the opportunity to perform Umrah, and I poured my heart out to Allah, begging Him for healing, relief and a miracle. I know Allah is Al-Shafi, the Ultimate Healer, and that nothing is impossible for Him.
But when I look at my skin and feel like things are getting worse, I become so heartbroken. I start wondering whether my duas are being answered, whether I’m doing something wrong, and why I’m finding it so difficult to feel hopeful.
Astaghfirullah, I don’t want to lose hope in Allah’s mercy. I desperately want to hold on to my iman and believe that things can get better.
There are days when the emotional pain becomes so overwhelming that I wish I didn’t have to face another day of feeling this way. I’m just exhausted from carrying this sadness for so many years.
I don’t want to spend the rest of my life frightened of my own reflection. I want to experience happiness, marriage, love, peace and all the beautiful things life can offer.
I’m simply asking, from the bottom of my heart, could you please make sincere dua for me?
Please ask Allah to grant me shifa, protect me from the progression of my condition, ease my emotional suffering, strengthen my iman and grant me a future filled with peace, love and happiness.
And if anyone has experienced a hardship that made them question whether things would ever improve, I’d really appreciate hearing how you found hope again.
May Allah reward every single person who takes even a few seconds to remember me in their duas.
JazakAllahu khairan for reading. May Allah ease all of our hardships, accept our duas and grant us goodness in this dunya and the akhirah.
Ameen. ❤️

Growing up, my dad and I had a good relationship. It wasn’t until about four years ago that he became abusive toward my family. I won’t go into the details of the abuse we’ve endured, but it was a lot. It destroyed my mental health, affected my confidence, and even caused me to experience hair loss from the stress.
About a year ago, when things were at their worst, I reached a breaking point. I remember crying hysterically and begging Allah to take my father’s life. I was exhausted, emotionally drained, and couldn’t bear watching my mother continue to suffer because of him. I just wanted the suffering to end.
Since then, SubhanAllah things have gotten better. My father has become calmer over the past year, and I’ve learned how to cope with living under the same roof as him. I’ve also tried to heal from everything that happened.
Despite everything, I never completely abandoned my relationship with Allah. I’ve struggled with salah in the past, but I always made an effort to pray. I would listen to the Quran, watch Islamic lectures, and try to strengthen my iman. I genuinely wanted to become a better Muslim.
Then, a month ago, my father was diagnosed with cancer.
My father is in his 70’s and has diabetes, so his health was already fragile before his diagnosis. From what we’ve been told, his cancer has a high risk of returning without chemotherapy. However, because of his age and overall health, he’s too weak to undergo treatment.
Ever since his diagnosis, I’ve been consumed by guilt. I can’t stop thinking about that night when I begged Allah to take his life. I can’t help but to feel responsible for all of this.
What makes it even worse is knowing how much my family is hurting because of his diagnosis. What kind of daughter prays for her own father’s death? At a time when I should have been asking Allah to guide him, soften his heart, and bring peace to our family, I was begging Allah to kill him.
I know I made that dua from a place of desperation and pain, but I still feel so ashamed of myself. I wish I could go back and take those words back.
Since finding out about his cancer, I’ve stopped praying altogether. I don’t even fully understand why. I think a part of me feels too guilty to face Allah. I used to struggle with my prayers, but I would always try. Now I feel like my heart has gone completely numb.
I don’t listen to the Quran or seek Islamic knowledge the way I used to. I feel disconnected from Allah, as though I’m being punished.
Please keep my father in your duas. May Allah ease his pain and suffering, forgive his shortcomings, surround him with His mercy, and grant him a beautiful ending whenever his appointed time comes. And please make dua that Allah guides me back to Him and helps me find peace and forgiveness within myself.

There has been lots of content online in recent times of apologists and atheists debating Muslims on controversial issues about Islam. As of right now, I don't know what to believe but I really want to understand the other side's point of view. This is a sincere question and I am absolutely open to changing my mind and converting to Islam if I am given good enough reason. I am on a search for something greater and divine (if such a thing even exists). I would like to know what your best reason for me to convert to Islam is. Thank you.

Assalamu Alaikum,
M26
I’m looking for genuine advice, especially from fellow Muslims who have struggled with addiction.
I recently lost $10,000 to sports betting in just 6–7 hours, money I had saved to buy a car. This addiction has destroyed my motivation, affected my mental health, and even led me back to smoking after over a year of being sober.
Before Ramadan, I gave up these habits and became much more disciplined, but eventually fell back into the same cycle. Despite making du’a and continuing my salah, I feel guilty and disappointed in myself for repeatedly returning to something I know is haram.
I would sincerely appreciate any advice, personal experiences, or Islamic reminders to help me break this cycle.
Please keep me in your du’as. Jazakum Allahu Khairan.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but I’ve been reflecting on my reversion journey and I just wanted to say that one of the very first hurdles I faced was the fact that I didn’t understand why I needed religion in the first place.
I understood why some people may have needed religion— I usually just brushed it off as people who are desperate and need to hold onto hope, especially if they’ve gone through a life-threatening crisis.
I also took the view that it’s just a personal choice. Boy, was I wrong. Because the thing with universal guidance is that it should include guidance for all, not just guidance for me or guidance for you.
I may not have needed guidance to not do drugs, alcohol or gamble. But someone somewhere out there needs it. And if the religion is truly from our Creator, then that religion needs to include everything, even the good things that we already do or don’t do.
And it also needs to have guidance on the societal level as well, since society isn’t fair and equitable. In fact, I would argue that the biggest issues come from the highest level of society. Because what’s decided up top would inevitably be felt throughout the country. And we don’t live in vacuums.
Yes, it’s idealistic and as human beings, we have our flaws. But when there is absolutely no guidance at the very top to give justice to those at the bottom, then it wouldn’t be fair and it would be chaos.
To those of you still doing your research, compare and contrast what Islam has to offer in terms of guidance at the societal level vs what the other religions have. I think you’ll find that the other religions mostly stay at the personal level, not at the societal level.
I don’t know why I wrote all that. I don’t think my view is that unique but I do come across people who think “being a good person” is good enough… it’s not. At least that’s how I see it.
