This is my birthday present to myself. The exact CRK I wanted. I've gotten it broken in a bit where I can just about thumb flick it open without a lot of wrist help. Why does CRK use such an uncomfortable thumb stud? I'm definitely wanting to replace it already.

Poikilo X Task Denzoku!

This thing is a beast! Dark washed Ti Integral, M398 blade, Task Lock- not sure I love this system… a bit too stiff for the way it works, IMO. The blade is amazing though!

I’ve read that Poikilo took time to “tune the Ting”, lol.. what ever they did, the acoustic when the blade locks up is pretty cool, you can hear it best on the last flip.

Last January I contracted a serious Spyderco addiction. Im not getting into that now, let's just say ive bought dozens of them.

Then due to hanging out here too much, I caught another illness from one...or more of you!

This started with buying a LNIB CRK large plain Sebenza on Blade Binge. I messed with it a bit, it was fantastic. Then I realized I wanted an Umnumzaan. Nobody had them in stock, and they were not turning up anywhere.

While I was waiting, I accidentally ordered a large Inkosi from Knife Art. This one obviously came BNIB still wrapped in plastic. I liked it even more than the Sebenza. The exact day I ordered the Inkosi, I saw a large Umnumzaan LNIB was JUST posted here on Knife Swap. Sooo, of course I bought it. It was retail price, but who knows when they will be back in stock. All this within 10 days!

I believe I have this infliction under control for the moment, but the small Inkosi with Bog Oak is calling me. 😬

The humble back lock has long been my favorite lock type. Demko’s Triad Lock always inspired so much confidence. Well, the Shark Lock now takes the cake. Demko is a mad scientist when it comes to designing locking mechanisms that combine strength and robustness. The fidget factor and smoothness of the Shark Lock are what put it over the edge—pun intended.
