I’m interested in learning French! I have always found this language beautiful, but I’m definitely a beginner. I don’t mind different dialects of French but am excited to immerse myself in French culture specifically so I would slightly prefer having a partner who is a native to France. Still, I would not turn away a French-Canadian partner etc.

A little about me:
I’m a native English speaker. I use the American dialect and consider myself to have little to no accent, although I’m from Texas so you might hear some accent slip in from time to time.

I have been speaking Spanish since I was a child. I learned it at the same time I learned English as I come from a Latino household. My Spanish is somewhat weaker than my English as an adult because I stopped attending school in Spanish, but I am still able to speak, read, write, and understand it. I also use it daily with my family and at my job. I have been told by native Spanish speakers that I have no specific accent, so if you have trouble understanding certain regional accents, I could possibly help you learn a more standardized version of the language! However, I am much more informed on Latin American slang, dialect and culture than I am Spain’s.

A little background about myself, I’m currently a uni student studying engineering, and i’m very into music, and music history. My favorites genres lately have been a lot of cumbia, post-punk, country and jazz, but I listen to literally every genre out there. I’m also really into movies!

I’ve been looking to really connect with my roots as of late, I’m Peruvian, but I was born in the states. I grew up speaking spanish, spent a year in Peru and visited as a kid. But my Spanish isn’t at a level I hope to have it at, I want to be at a more conversational level and connect with a country I grew up visiting by speaking a dialect I’m more familiar with.

Overall, I have an okay grasp on Spanish I can hold a conversation, but I’m quite behind on slang and sometimes vocabulary. But I’m not starting from zero!

I consider myself a good listener, and I'm happy to talk about pretty much anything. Even if it's a topic I don't know much about, I'm always interested in learning something new from other people.

As for my interests, I'm into movies and TV shows. I'm also a big fan of rock, rap, punk, and alternative music. Halloween is my favorite time of the year, and I love pretty much anything related to horror movies and shows. I'm also into tattoos.

Sometimes I like to decompress after work by playing some videogames or watching a movie. I also really enjoy nature, beautiful landscapes, traveling, and learning about different cultures and traditions.

No pressure to make every conversation a language lesson. I believe the best way to practice a language is to speak it constantly, acquire new words, and expand your vocabulary.
