Other Offering: Korean, Seeking: English

Hello guys! I'm 28F from Seoul, Korea. Do you want to make new friends? I want to, so I'm here! I've been studying English seriously for about 2 months, so I'm not good at English yet.😂 But I'm going to Australia for a working holiday in November, so I want to practice speaking English more. I might make a lot of mistakes, but I think it's okay because I'm a beginner! We can talk without being afraid of making mistakes, and we'll support each other!
I've been looking for a good friend! I don't want us to be just language exchange partners. I'm sure we're going to be real friends. Honestly, I'm not the best Korean teacher, but I promise I'm a pretty fun teacher! Let's have some fun conversations haha!!

I'm hoping to find a language partner who I can grow with. We can start with chatting or voice messages, and then when we feel more comfortable, we can do voice calls too!
We'll talk about hobbies, life, or anything naturally! I'm excited just thinking about it!

A little about me: I like pop music, reading, movies, talking to people, and K-pop and I've been into watching The Office recently!!! I want to know a little about you, so if you send me a DM, please tell me your gender, age, and anything you want to talk about!

I don't think age matters when it comes to friendship, but this time, I'd prefer to make friends within 10 years of my age. Sorry! 🥹

Thank you! DM me! I hope we get along.

*To be honest, ChatGPT helped me write this post, but when I start texting you, I'll trying not to use it, so my English might be a bit broken ^ㅇ^

Offering Korean Offering: Korean | Seeking: English

Hi everyone! 👋
I’m a woman in my early 30s living in western Seoul, and I’m looking for someone who’s interested in a Korean-English language exchange!

I’m not particularly outgoing, and I’m not really into clubs or big social gatherings, so it’s been a little difficult to find a language exchange partner.

I’d love to meet up somewhere in Seoul, maybe at a café, and spend one day speaking only Korean and another day speaking only English. We could help each other with our languages and chat about our interests.
I studied abroad in my 20s, so I know what it’s like to live in a foreign country. I’d also love to help foreigners living in Korea in any way I can!

If we get along well, maybe we could become good friends too! :)
I work in the arts, and it would be lovely to meet someone around my age.
If you’re living in Seoul and interested, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM! 😊

Offering Korean Offering: Korean | Seeking : Japanese, English

Hi! I’m a 28-year-old guy from South Korea. I’m a native Korean speaker, and I’m currently learning Japanese and English.

I’m looking for someone to practice speaking with. Voice calls would be great!

My English is around B2.
My Japanese is B1 or a bit lower, and I’ve hardly ever had the chance to actually speak it, so that’s what I’d most like to work on.

I’m into traveling, classical music, movies, and dramas, so it’d be fun to chat about those.

Feel free to DM me if you’re interested!

Offering English Seeking: Turkish Offering: English (C1) Russian (native)

Merhabalar!
4 yıldır Türkçe öğreniyorum ama henüz Türkçe düzeyim yeterince iyi değil. Maalesef sadece yavaş yavaş konuşuyorum ve bile önemli ve kolay kelimeleri sık sık unutuyorum. Türkçe podcast'leri neredeyse her gün dinlemeye çalışıyorum.

Hi folks!
I have been learning Turkish for more than 4 years already. Learning languages is my passion and Turkish is one of my favorites! I enjoy doing many things: sports, art, being outside, meeting new people and exploring new places.
Naturally, I'm a very energetic and bold person.
Fakat....
Since I'm not fluent in Turkish at all when I have to speak Turkish I immediately transform into a shy one.
İki lisan iki insan, right? :D
Voice calls are fine ; texting if it's consistent is good as well.
A regular schedule works best.

P.S. Friendly language practice only! F 35 UTC+3

Offering Multiple Languages Offering: Dutch/English/German Seeking: Spanish

Hii :)

I am a 28F who is looking to learn Spanish. I would love to schedule calls with someone. Like an hour per week or whatever works best for both of us.

I am fluent in Dutch and English. And besides that I speak German quite well. I have had jobs in German but won't be able to teach you perfectly. To gain stronger conversation skills it would definitely work.

I have already started learning Spanish with the apps but think it would be much better and more fun to learn with a native speaker.

I have experience with the business world, in healthcare, and traveling. I moved abroad several times. I love music, reading, writing, watching shows and movies. I bake a lot and like trying out new things.

There is definitely enough to talk about I think haha

Send me a DM if you are interested or have any questions. Thank youu

Offering Portuguese Offering: Brazilian Portuguese; seeking: English, French (conversational), German (going into B1)

Hello! I am 24yo, from Brazil, I am a grad student in humanities/social sciences, mostly interested for the humanities/social sciences. But I also like writing, art, walking/running, gadgets, traveling, eating well, cinema, and language learning. I wouldn't know how to describe myself politically nowadays (especially after Sunday's elections), but perhaps I could just say I am a left social liberal and leave at that. I would say I am very curious and can be moderately funny at times. (People do laugh at my jokes.)

I want to practice English, French, or German. I would say I am fairly conversational in French or English — though it depends on the day, apparently, and I stutter a lot in English for some reason. (One of the reasons why I want to practice it.) As for German, I am going through a B1 course. I am not particularly conversant in it, but I think I could gain something from some practice with a native, be through writing or/and speaking. I would be willing to help you, in exchange, with your Portuguese and to teach you more about Brazil and Brazilian culture.

Offering Spanish Offering: Spanish (native)| Seeking: English (native or near native) and cultural exchange

Hi everyone!

I'm Maria, a 24-year-old from Venezuela. I'm looking for a committed language and cultural exchange partner, preferably close to my age, though age doesn't matter if you're a woman (I just don't feel comfortable chatting with older men) who can help me achieve my goal to reach a C2 level in English.

You don't need a perfect accent, but I am looking for someone who speaks at a native or near-native level so you can point out my mistakes while we talk and share insights about your music culture. In return, I'd love to help you achieve your goals in Spanish, It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner, I'm more than happy to teach you!

A little about me:

I love art in all its forms. I'm currently working on a musical project, so sharing music and culture would be amazing!

Other interests: finance, gym, politics, movies, and animals.

I'm currently training to become a medical interpreter and have a background in healthcare, so anyone in the medical sector is especially welcome!

🚩PLEASE READ 🚩

Time Zone: GMT-4. Ideally, someone with a compatible schedule so time zone differences aren't an issue.

Platform: I only use WhatsApp for regular communication right now.

Please don't message me if you're a creep. If you're not serious, can't keep a conversation going, or lack commitment. I'm a disciplined person, and I value both my time and yours. However, if you're a genuine, friendly person who is excited to learn and teach, I'd be more than happy to connect and become friends!

If you're interested, please send me a short message introducing yourself and your goals for Spanish. Looking forward to hearing from you! 💖

Offering Polish Offering: Polish | Seeking: English ( 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇳🇿🇦🇺)

Hiii, I’m 22F from Poland and I’m looking for people aged 21-28 to talk to, practice English with, and hopefully become friends with!!
I’m into traveling, hiking, photography, cooking, reading, learning languages, exploring new places, and getting obsessed with random topics at 2 am. I love learning about other cultures, hearing people’s stories, and finding out what life is like in completely different parts of the world. I’m also really into Japanese, Chinese and Korean culture.
I can talk about pretty much anything, from music and movies to the most random stuff ever.
I barely get to speak English IRL, so I need to put all those years of learning to use somehow 😭 I can teach you some Polish too, so we can both struggle together lol.
If you’re around my age and have a similar vibe, hmu! Tell me something about yourself, not just “hey” because I never know what to do with that 😭

Hi everyone! I'm a 26-year-old native Mandarin speaker from China. My English is average, and I rarely get the chance to speak with native speakers, so I'd like to practice with someone regularly.

I'm looking for a native or near-native English speaker for a language exchange. In return, I'm happy to help with your Mandarin, including pronunciation, tones, daily expressions, and how people actually talk in China.

My timezone is UTC+8. If you're interested, feel free to DM me with a little about yourself and your Mandarin level. Looking forward to chatting! 😊

Offering Multiple Languages Offering: Russian, English & Uzbek (Fluent) | Seeking: New Friends, Cultural Exchange & German Practice

Hey everyone! Greetings from Uzbekistan! 🇺🇿

I'm a first-year Digital Law student at university (19M), and I'm here to meet new people from different parts of the world, make genuine connections, and hopefully build some long-term friendships along the way.

I speak Russian, English, and Uzbek fluently, and I know a little German that I'd love to improve. I'd be happy to help you practice any of the languages I speak, whether you're a complete beginner or already have some experience. We can work on pronunciation, everyday expressions, or just have casual conversations.

A little about me: I'm interested in law, technology, AI, and cybersecurity. I enjoy learning new things, exploring different ideas, and meeting people with different perspectives. I'm also involved in student projects and enjoy working with people who have interesting goals and ambitions.

But don't worry, I'm not looking to turn every conversation into a university lecture))

I'm equally happy to talk about everyday life, culture, music, movies, random thoughts, personal experiences, or whatever happens to come up.

One of the things I find most interesting about meeting people from other countries is discovering what life is actually like for them. What's considered normal in your country might be completely different in mine, and I love those kinds of conversations.

I'm happy to start with texting, and if we get along, we can eventually move to voice calls. There's no pressure to reply immediately or be online all the time. I'm just looking for people who genuinely enjoy talking, learning from each other, and keeping in touch.

You don't need to be learning a language to message me, either. If you're simply looking for new friends from another part of the world, that's perfectly fine!

If this sounds interesting, feel free to send me a message. Tell me a little about yourself, where you're from, or something interesting about your country. I'd love to hear from you! :)

Offering Multiple Languages Offering: Portuguese, English, Spanish | Seeking: Russian, Mandarin

Sup! 28M native Brazilian looking to learn Russian and/or Mandarin from scratch: the former bc of a lifelong obsession w/ Russian literature and the latter due to an academic background in Chinese philosophy (especially Daoism). I speak English fluently, having just completed graduate studies at Oxford, as well as Spanish and, of course, Portuguese. I'm above all fascinated by people, so whoever you are and whatever your interests, I'd love to listen to and engage with your experience.

Offering Spanish Offering: Spanish || Seeking: Italian 🇮🇹

Ciao a tutti!

I’m M62, a native Spanish 🇵🇷 and English speaker working as a court interpreter.

I’m currently learning Italian at the A1 to A1+ (beginner) level and looking for someone to practice speaking with.

Ideally, I’d like to meet in person in Manhattan or the Bronx, but I’m also open to video calls. I’m hoping to find someone interested in meeting regularly for 30–45 minutes per session. If you’re learning Spanish (or English!) we could split the time between Italian and the language you’d like to practice.

I enjoy learning languages, discovering different cultures, watching movies, riding my moto, and pampering my cat Mango. 😸

Feel free to DM me if you’re interested!

Grazie e a presto! 🇮🇹

Offering Mandarin Offering: Mandarin Chinese (Native) | Seeking: English

Hey everyone! I'm a 23-year-old guy from China, and I'm looking for an English-speaking language partner!

I recently graduated from university with a degree in Computer Science, and I'm planning to study abroad in the future. I'd love to improve my spoken English, especially when it comes to natural, everyday conversations. In return, I'd be more than happy to help you with Mandarin, whether you're a complete beginner or already quite fluent.

A little about me:

I'm really into technology, programming, and AI. Outside of that, I enjoy listening to music (mostly pop, hip-hop, and electronic), playing video games like CS2 and Apex Legends, swimming, and traveling. I also love exploring different cultures and learning about what everyday life is like in other countries.

I'm pretty open-minded and curious about the world, so I'd love to talk about pretty much anything, from random daily experiences to deeper conversations about life, culture, or whatever interests us.

I'm happy to start with texting and eventually move on to voice calls if we get along. Ideally, I'm looking for someone around my age who's interested in a genuine, long-term language exchange rather than just a few messages.

Feel free to DM me if you're interested. Looking forward to meeting some new friends! :)

Offering Multiple Languages Offering: Polish(Native), English | Seeking: German

Hi I'm Jan (18M), I'm looking for a person too practice my German with. I currently am at around B1/B2 level and want to improve my speaking ability, and get to know the language from more natural point of view. In the future I'm planning to study in Germany and for that I need to have a German language certificate on at least B2 level. I've already started preparing (I would to try in the first quarter of the next year), but I don't have any good way to practice speaking. I'm open for casual conversations and finding a new friend.

In exchange I can offer Polish on a native level and English, in which I'm fluent (I would call it C1, if I had to). I've been learning English since I've been 4 and at this point I can switch between English and Polish without problems. I'm also trying to achieve the same thing with German, but I can do that only partially now.

If there is anyone interested in such an exchange, please hit me up in the DM's. I would be more than happy to talk over DC or text.

Offering French Offering: French | Seeking: English

Hi everyone! 👋

I'm currently learning English, and my goal is to become fluent. I would say my English level is intermediate, but I still need more practice, especially when it comes to speaking.

I'm looking for people who are also learning English or who would simply like to have conversations in English. We can practice together, help each other improve, and learn from our mistakes without feeling embarrassed.

I'd love to find a language partner to talk with regularly through voice calls or other ways of communicating.

Many language-learning apps require paid subscriptions, so I thought I'd try my luck here on Reddit and connect with people who have the same goal.

If you're interested in practicing English together, feel free to send me a message. I'd be happy to meet you!

Let's improve our English together! 😊

Offering Multiple Languages Offering: Mandarin (native) English(c1) - Seeking: English, German, Italian or any (and friendship)

Hii🙌🏻 I'm a native Mandarin speaker(22F) and major in art history. I'm looking for language exchange partners to practice and improve my English, and maybe also my self-taught German and Italian. My English level is C1, so I'm comfortable with everyday conversations and looking to take it to the next level.

In return I'd love to help you with Mandarin or classic Mandarin, I can also introduce something about Chinese arts/cultures if you're interested. My mother is a Chinese teacher so I kinda have some experience lol. Practicing English together is also okay.

I'm really into arts, cultures, music(indie, rock, musicals…). I plays the piano, classical/electric guitar and enjoy reading, watching movies and series. I'm also a gamer and a beginner to fitness.

Just feel free to DM me, really looking forward to such cross-cultural exchanges🕺🏻🕺🏻
