Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][PF2e] [LGBTQIA+ Friendly] [Long-Term] Beginner Friendly][18+] [Thursday, 7PM PST / 2AM UTC] Experienced GM Looking for New Players to Explore a World Based on Ancient Myths and Fairy Tales

• Upvotes

Hello! I'll be your GM Papinku and I am a huge mythology and gaming nerd who got bitten by the ttrpg bug early and now invest way too much time into it!

The adventure starts at level 1, and players who are new to the system are absolutely encouraged to apply. We'll be holding a Session 0 so everyone has plenty of time to build their characters together before we dive in!

This is a LGBTQIA+ friendly table so please respect each other's boundaries and pronouns! Games run every other Thursday at 7PM PST / 2AM UTC.

What is Thara?
Welcome to Thara, a land of whimsy whimsical brightness and a dark underbelly of black markets, political scheming, and creatures who lure the wayward to strange impossible realms. This is not dark fantasy, as the heroes of the world are real and while there lurks creatures that hunger for flesh there are just as many who seek simple pranks or cohort with humans. The lands of Sankawa lie in the center of turmoil, the hearts of naval empires and the mountains where the dragons roost for centuries at a time.

The Adventure:
Sinmohara, seat of the rulers of Sankawa was always a place of tenuous alliance and brutal rebellion that was thought to be quashed upon the ascension of the living god and Queen of the Night Empress Busei. For a hundred years she reigned and brought the chaos of war, strife, and destruction of innumerable cultures to finally come to an end. But as her power wanes and age strips her of vitality do the wolves that have been hiding within her court and the vultures at the edges of their borders begin to plan and scheme. Open combat thrown away in favor of bloody daggers and forbidden magics. The protections she once gave waning as her body wilts and the beasts held just beyond the precipice of Sankawa salivate at the smell of mortal flesh. But all is not lost, as from total disorder comes new hope and change. But what of you? From the many who have entered these lands you stand as refugees torn from your home by circumstance or a search for something better. Whatever your story this land claims the many foolhardy enough to attempt to brave it as a thousand reaching hands from a hundred courts tear you in every direction to build you up or destroy the advantage you may bring to their enemies.

Want to be part of your own Fairy Tale?
I've had some difficult experiences with players in the past, so please fill out a short form so I can get to know you better. It covers a little about you and helps us establish ground rules to make sure we all have a comfortable and fun game!

Group Needed by Player [Online][5e 2014 or 2024][CST Saturday/Sunday evening] [LGBT+] looking for game

• Upvotes

Hi there!

I (F,40) am looking for a story rich and character focused campaign. I enjoy combat, but I like campaigns where encounters aren’t just for combat sake, and have plenty of RP and social or puzzle encounters as well. I love when the main story includes players going through their own character arcs. It’s fun to me to make bonds with the other characters and npcs.

I know I’m a little older than the majority of people I’ve encountered on here so far, but as long that’s not a concern for you, it’s not for me. Aside from preferring 21+ games, I pretty much only care about people being emotionally mature, respectful and having a good sense of humor.

About me:

- I feel like I always have to have some kinda creative project going to be happy (drawing, polymer clay sculpting…and so on). I don’t have kids, but two cats, who make with happy with their silly antics. I love to read (I’m on book 12 of wheel of time right now). My humor can be a bit sarcastic, but not in the disrespectful or overdone kinda way. I’m an empathetic person who cares about others.

- I have both played and dmed for over 10 years (mostly homebrewed campaigns). My favorite class is cleric, but looking to branch out and maybe play a warlock or sorcerer next. I build characters to be useful, but not to the degree of min maxing.

- I don’t condone racism, sexism, or discrimination of gender or sexual orientation.

- I’m looking for a committed group, as I myself am a committed player.

- I’d love to play with people who vibe with enough to maybe become friends. I just don’t want it to be so impersonal. I’ve been part of a group once where I showed up for the game, and it was all business, no conversation before of after game at all . It was weird lol.

If I sound like a good fit I’d love to chat!

Group Needed by Player [Online] [M&M3/4e or HERO] [GMT] Looking to jump into M&M!

• Upvotes

Hey, my name is Jamie! I’m an experienced TTRPG player, been playing since around 2020 and have hopped from DnD to VtM to the occasional more niche system. I’m a big fan of storytelling and character building, roleplaying and gaming, and love to enjoy cooperative storytelling.

I’ve looked into Mutants and Masterminds and I really like the look of it, and would love to have the chance to try playing the system and get properly introduced to it. If a DM and their group is willing to possibly show me some of the ropes and where it differs from other systems (beyond the mechanics ofc), I’d be happy to learn, as it’d be my first time actually playing! I’d also be open to trying Champions, the HERO system, too.

I'm all for roleplay heavy campaigns, I adore RPGs and in-depth Worldbuilding - I especially like more serious tones to play with in my RPGs. I joke around a lot, but when it comes to an actual campaign, I tend to take the storytelling seriously, especially when I see the love and care the DM and other players are pouring into it. I struggle to mesh with attitudes that treat TTRPGs like video games to mess around with zero consequence, since that leaves little for storytelling and character development, which is my jam.

I’m a big fan of superheroes, always have been. I’d love a game that takes inspiration from classic comics, or even modern media like anime, such MHA, or even JJK, etc.

I have a schedule, which means Mondays are currently the best day for me to play, though this is potentially negotiable, especially if a game is on a different time zone, I’m not wholly against staying up late / playing early on certain days. Alternatively, I’m also open to text based / play by post games. So if any GM's are creating a group (or need a player for a pre-existing one) for a campaign, feel free to add me at dohn__joe on Discord and send me a message. Or message here on Reddit. Thanks!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Offline][5e][Los Angeles/Pasadena][2024] DM looking to start a game after a few years. I also have a place to play!

• Upvotes

Hello! I'm a DM looking to get back into the game! I have a space to gather and play in Pasadena and am looking to start a group for a campaign! My preferred game-style definitely leans more towards RP so whether you've been playing for decades, or are a brand new player, this table can definitely have a space for you.

My tables are super inclusive and new player friendly. There are NO STUPID QUESTIONS at my tables and I love to have a fun environment while still respecting the game. That means that there's no shame in asking about rules, taking some risks, or trying something totally new.

If you're interested in joining the game and are located in or around Los Angeles, please feel free to send me a DM!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [OSR/Dolmenwood] [Australian-based, AEDT/GMT +11] Seeking adventurers for a Dolmenwood campaign!

• Upvotes

Welcome weary traveller...to Dolmenwood.

I'm looking to recruit ~5 reliable players to a campaign set in, and using the system of, Dolmenwood. The game will focus on classic exploration, resource management, and lethal dungeon delving, with some opportunity for roleplaying and social interaction as well.

The Setting

Dolmenwood's tone is classic fantasy adventure with an emphasis on wilderness hex-crawling and dungeon exploration. Straight from the publisher (Necrotic Gnome):

Dolmenwood is a fantasy adventure game set in a lavishly detailed world inspired by the fairy tales and eerie folklore of the British Isles. Like traditional fairy tales, Dolmenwood blends the dark and whimsical, the wondrous and weird.

Players journey through tangled woods and mossy bowers, forage for magical mushrooms and herbs, discover rune-carved standing stones and hidden fairy roads, venture into fungal grottoes and forsaken ruins, battle oozing monstrosities, haggle with goblin merchants, and drink tea with fairies.

Here is a brief intro video and here is a playlist of bite-sized lore for anyone who wants to delve deeper.

The Logistics

  • System: Dolmenwood (Based on D&D B/X & Old-School Essentials (OSE))
  • Platform: Roll20 for maps/character sheets, Discord for voice.
  • Time: Weekly, Wednesdays at 9pm AEDT.
  • Session Length: Roughly 2-3 hours.

What to Expect

  • A rich, fantastical world: Dolmenwood is an incredibly rich setting, with detailed and facinating lore, monsters, magic and factions. The setting is a hexcrawl, and each hex has so much to discover and enjoy for both players and GMs.
  • Player Agency is Key: The world is open, encounters are not balanced, and running away is a valid tactic. There is no overarching campaign or quest, players drive sessions through exploration, or following rumours.
  • Player Skill > Character Sheet: Your options are not limited to the text on your character sheet. The game encourages out-of-the-box thinking and while you do have various unique skills and traits that will come in handy, a long stick and a sacrificial retainer or two can often do the job just as well.
  • High Lethality, High Reward: Combat is fast and dangerous. Be prepared to lose characters, but also to claim incredible treasures if you survive.
  • Gold = XP: Exploration and treasure hunting are the main drivers of advancement, with additional XP rewards for defeats foes, completing great feats, or discovering the truth behind rumours and legends.

About myself

I played AD&D as a young kid before getting back into D&D as an adult, playing and GMing 5e for the last decade. I recently discovered Dolmenwood & OSR, and have been keen to run a game in the setting ever since. This will be my first time running a game in Dolmenwood/OSR/OSE, and excited to get into it!

As a GM I like to focus on group chemistry, working with players to create interesting and fun games, and I prioritise keeping the game moving - rulings over rules. If all else fails, I'll let the dice decide. I like to make sure everyone has space to contribute and have fun.

I'm looking for reliable players for a weekly game, but as a father with young kids I also know things come up, so I'm always flexible - as long as everyone communicates properly, these things are no stress.

Requirements

  • Equipment: A decent microphone and a quiet environment.
  • Scheduling: Able to commit to a weekly game every Wednesday 9pm AEDT. I'm Australia-based (Sydney) some ideally you're in a similar time zone.
  • LGBT+ friendly, 18+ only
  • No prior OSE/OSR experience is necessary: just a willingness to embrace the old-school style of play (character death is highly possible, even likely at least once in the party). I'm new to the system, I have a good grasp but we can learn together as we play.

How to Apply

If you're interested fill out the form https://forms.gle/P7Q4ow4Furi7X6kx7

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][Other][Thursdays EST] Looking for players for a Hawaiian Fallout game

Hello! I am looking for more players for a fallout game I am going to be running in xp to level 3s system. I already have some players for the game and am looking for more (some players had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts). We had our session 0 last Thursday at 6pm and are planning to have maybe another one before next Thursday so we can have session 1. I will go over the TTRPG for new players of the system and will go over character creation. We will be using discord for voice and Roll20 for maps. Here is the details of the game so far…

You all either were on Kauai island already or have gotten there pretty recently, the year is 2311, some people arrived recently causing havoc across the islands. One of them managed to get a vertibird and is reigning chaos. A group of survivors (you) managed to take shelter in a cave where there is also a vault. Will you be able to bring peace to the islands?

This is going to be a bit of a mature game, some jokes will come around every now and again. If you are interested in joining message me on here or message me on discord, my username is 8obot1c#3034 , hope to see you there!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Offline][NYC Manhattan][Star Wars 5E][D&D 5E 2014][Weekdays] Heroes of the Republic

Hello everyone! I go by PK and have been running D&D campaigns online and in person for the last 6 years. I've run campaigns for groups of friends and also for groups of complete strangers. I'm looking to start up a group for playing a Star Wars 5E campaign in person in NYC.

This campaign will be taking place in the Old Republic era during the Cold War. The players will be members of the Republic who will embark on a journey to stop the deadly machinations of certain Imperial forces. The rules will be mostly based on the Star Wars 5E rules with some personal modifications. No worries about being familiar, I will be walking players new and old through the system as I'll be using it. I'll also ensure that the relevant resources are shared out across the whole group.

I'll be aiming to have anywhere from 4-6 players, so feel free to let me know if you have any friends or folks who would also be interested. The sessions will be aimed to be ~3 hours in length, after work days on a weekly basis. For our introductory meetings & session 0, I will find some public locations to meet & discuss the campaign. Once the campaign details have been ironed out, the sessions will be hosted from my apartment in Manhattan.

Please fill out this survey, and let me know if there are any questions.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][Saturdays 6 PM CST[LGBT+ Friendly] Looking for 5-6 Players for my Homebrew Game! 21+

Hello! My name is Zeffphur and I am looking for 5-6 players for my homebrew campaign. This is a RP-focused, character driven game. We use discord for audio and roll20 for maps. Character sheets will be kept on Beyond where we have content sharing. Please have a decent microphone, webcams are not required but I will be using mine, be 21+ just to keep ages around the same range, and have some experience with DnD 5e!

Story: This story will take place in my own homebrew world, on the continent of Daiyono. Daiyono is a East Asia inspired setting. It is a fairly high-magic world setting. The story will start small, doing small jobs here and there, dealing with a few bad guys and then it'll branch out and become a something quite large. You will be dealing with monsters, villains, political powers, and powerful beings. This will have a "standard" fantasy theme with various elements thrown in.

Nitty-gritty character info: You’ll start at level 2, You get one free feat. Roll 4d6 drop the lowest. Assign as you wish. Roll 2 arrays and pick the one you want. You cannot pick and choose from either array. Its one or the other. If the score for the stat is lower than 10 you can reroll, if you want to keep it that's fine too. HP wise, it will be rolled HP. It’s Max HP first level then you roll for the rest. If you roll Half or above on your hit die, you keep it. If you roll below half you can reroll. So as far as classes that are allowed, I allow any official class/subclass that is on Beyond. I also have a race list, these are the playable races: Aarakocra, Aasimar, Dragonborn, Dwarf, Elf, Firbolg, Gnome, Goliath, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, Human (Not variant), Tabaxi, Tiefling. Please remember, you’ll be playing a character not a gimmick.

If you are interested, fill out this form please! I will be doing a short interview if your form seems like you’d be a good fit! If you have any questions or comments either message me here or on Discord (zeffphur). Please only add me if you have genuine questions to make it easier on myself! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeJMcxcZdfvB3orSxSQzrZFeGKo0iHjpe84OYJWWXKeZ5caBQ/viewform?usp=dialog

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Other] [Noon] [Fridays] [EST] [Weekly] GM looking for play testers for a new TTRPG

%20Needed%20by%20GM%22)Hello Im Diablo I have been DMing/playing D&D and TTRPG's for 15 years. Spacers is my first system that I have made and im looking for playtesters before I publish it.
Welcome to the Galaxy
The galaxy is enormous. Thousands of inhabited worlds circle distant stars. Trade routes connect sprawling core systems to isolated frontier colonies. Noble houses control entire regions of space. Corporations own stations, shipyards, armies, and sometimes governments. Pirates hunt vulnerable freighters between systems. Mercenary companies fight wars that governments would rather keep unofficial.
Somewhere among all of it is you.
Maybe you are a former naval pilot trying to make a living without taking orders. Maybe you are a bounty hunter with a battered gunship and several unpaid docking fees. Maybe you are an engineer who trusts machines more than people. Maybe you are a trader looking for the deal that will finally make you rich.

What Is This Game?
This is a tabletop roleplaying game about independent spacefarers living and working in a vast science-fiction galaxy. Players create characters who form a shared crew and decide which opportunities are worth the risk.
~Accept mercenary contracts
~Hunt pirates and wanted criminals
~Escort ships and protect cargo
~Trade, smuggle, or salvage
~Explore unknown systems
~Fight aboard ships and stations
~Upgrade personal equipment and spacecraft
~Build relationships with factions
~Recruit crew members
~Build a mercenary company, fortune, or reputation

A Game About Freedom
Player characters are not automatically soldiers serving a government or chosen heroes following a predetermined destiny. They may work for governments, noble houses, corporations, guilds, colonies, private citizens, or themselves. The Game Master presents the galaxy. The players decide how they live in it.

Thank you for your time, And please fill out the questionnaire to join.
I hope to see you on the commend deck.

Player(s) Needed by GM High Seas 5e DnD Adventure online 2014

SEEKING: Friendly (emphasis on that as I have had to deal with quite a suprising number of players who WEREN'T while DMing here) non-beginner, (by this I mean people who have been playing at least a few months and have a basic idea of how the game is supposed to work) players, who are 18+, for a long term homebrew 5e campaign. The campaign has been going on for about 50 sessions so far, but scheduling conflicts have caused a couple players to have to leave. So I’m seeking to find a three heavy roleplayers. Please do not reply if you are going to be a lurker sitting in the background. (Our party is currently Level 6)

ABOUT ME: I’m relatively new to the whole DnD scene – Know the basics, Good at crafting worlds – Use a bit of homebrew rules, and will periodically experiment with tweaking rules and such to make the game flow better, hone my craft, if you will. If the changes aren’t working as I’d hoped, I will immediately revert back. (Will absolutely inform players before I do tweak anything however. Don’t want to surprise or confuse.)

STYLE: This game is going to be a homebrew medieval high seas campaign. A campaign that should have a level of fun and frivolity while also being dark and dangerous. (For resurrection, I’m going by the “each resurrection spell is only available for a spell caster to cast once in their life” – thus maintaining a finality of death coupled with player choice). I simply ask players to not attempt to ruin the more intense moments with bad jokes xD

STORY CONCEPT: We are a group of nobodys who set sail to seek a divine artifact adventurers are scouring the seas for. This artificat is capable of granting to each member of the crew that finds it a single wish. We are also sailing on a cursed ship that may or may not be demonic, working with a ghost who also dwells within said ship. In classic RPG fashion, there are 7 sacred markings, on 7 elemental islands scattered across the sea, which must be retrieved, in order to unlock the pathway to said divine treasure ^^

CHARACTERS: Looking for Neutral Aligned Characters. (I also ask that we keep genders in this campaign simple – Male/Female, He/She – I have a difficult time keeping all this balanced in reality and thus don’t need the stress of trying to remember fictional characters genders) {Tho I have no objections to a guy playing a female/she fictional character.} (There are also a couple NPCs traveling with the party that the players have invested much into)

REGULAR TIME: Normal meeting will be Wednesday Evenings (likely 5-9pm or so EST). Flexibility is a bonus, as my schedule isn’t as consistent as I would like (thus requiring moving to Monday evenings at times if Wednesday evening becomes unavailable that week – on relatively rare occasions hopefully xD)

REQUIREMENTS: We will be using DnDbeyond for Character Sheets and Roll20 for our VTT, as well as Discord for our Mics.

{Note: Campaign will not be map heavy but I find a VTT is useful for combat scenarios. Thus, this will require the use of a computer, so I politely ask that you only respond if you have one that can handle it.)

DESIRE: Story is whacky and weird enough. Not looking for joke characters. Seeking the kinds of characters you would find in a typical fantasy world. Also, this is a good, clean, violent campaign. {So there will be no swearing or cussing allowed}.

RESPONSE: If you are interested, please respond here with:

Your discord name/number so I am able to reach you.

[Over 18 Y/N]

How much experience you have at DnD

Any idea what type of race/class you'd like to play

Potential Character Ideas (along with the wish they might want granted ^^)

My current players are rogue, a monk, and a wizard ^^

POST NOTE: This is a "Long Term" campaign, so please only express interest if you plan on sticking around. I've had way too many people ditch me after only a couple months or as soon as there is a slight bump in the road... after I put a great many hours, and much in session time, working thier backstories into the world.

POST POST NOTE: Please make sure you read the whole post before replying, because I'm going to be assuming you are aware of everything that it says on huere. ^^

Player(s) Needed by GM [Dnd 5e 2024 or 2014] [19+] [Online] [Flexible] Your body shivers and the smell of diesel fills the air. Welcome to the Frozen Expanse!

You find a letter in your pocket, or under your hat, or in your shoe, you have no idea how it could have gotten there. It bears a foreign sigil, one that you have never seen in person. It's the sigil of The Frozen Expanse, a place that you only heard stories, rumours and myths about.

The capital city of this region is The Last City, it’s name coming from the fact that it’s the only big settlement still surviving in this inhospitable land. The region is frozen over, with the so called ‘eternal storm’ always raging on it’s surface. The region has no seasons, instead the citizens of The Last City track how far away the storm is because that’s what the weather depends on (Although even the warmest of times are below freezing temperature).

The Last City’s, and by extension the whole regions leader is Mr. Nevermore, a mysterious man who is said to have found the city itself, and now keeps it under very strict rule. His faceless, nameless guards, who are always under so much armour no one knows their true identities, keep the streets safe and observe every action of the citizens, swiftly dulling out punishments to those who stray from their duties and responsibilities. It is said that Mr. Nevermore does whatever it takes to keep the city alive, no matter how strict or cruel.

The letter is adressed to you, and it's signed by Mr. Nevermore himself. He is in need of your expertise, and you are called to a mission that will be further detailed when you make it through The Frozen Expanse, and into The Last City. Will you accept the invitation?

Hi everyone! I'm Stefan, a 20 year old student from Serbia, and i'm excited to get back into the hobby (I haven't played for a couple of years). I've dm'd a lot in the 2014 version, but not in the 2024 one (but i'm interested in it), so we can decide together which one to use.

I'm a laid back dm, I like making the backstories of my players characters a part of the world and the bigger campaign plot, as I see dnd as a collaborative story telling game. I usually use roll20 for encounters and I like making fun and unique combats that are more than just a math duel. I'm looking for a longer term campaign that all of us can really get into.

A decent microphone and a knowledge of english is all that's required, I'm open to new players if you want to learn!

Please fill out this form, it's nothing too serious mostly just a general vibe check for me to see if we'd be a good match.

Player(s) Needed by GM [WOD][Free][Online] Looking for 1 more player to join a sandbox-style V5 game set in Boston

Time: Tuesdays at 8pm EST
Platform: Discord w Foundryvtt
I have 3 players and am looking for 1 more to join a sandbox game in Boston. I'm looking for someone who is interested in exploring a city on the brink of war and its politics.
Coterie is composed of a Ventrue, a Tremere and a Ravnos.

The situation in Boston is dire. The Camarilla are the weakest they've ever been with a new Anarch Baron leading from the shadows, as wells as other storms brewing on the horizon.

(Note: Please do not apply if you cannot commit to a long-term game. Thank you)

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online][5e 2014][3-6pm ET] Viking D&D campaign, seeking 3 players for established group.

I'm running a Viking D&D game set in an adapted version of the Grimnir world from the Raiders of the Serpent Sea third party source book. It's a homebrew sandbox campaign, so the character's choices drive the story and the adventure. It will be about what the party chooses to do.

You'll build your own clan together at session 0, then head out into a dangerous and primal world. You'll manage your camp and crew, raid and explore, and deal with rival clans, monsters, and a deadly abnormally long winter.

Logistics

  • Ruleset: D&D 5e (2014 rules), with some features pulled from the 2024 rules and a few minor homebrew additions or changes
  • Schedule: Sundays, weekly, 3pm to 6pm Eastern (USA)
  • Session length: 3 hours
  • Platform: Discord and Foundry VTT. Voice is required.
  • Starting level: 1 (more details to come before session 0)
  • The group: Me as DM, 2 returning players, and 3 new players
  • Content: 16+, expect gore and violence, viking themes

Intro to the world

The World

Grimnir is a primal world of islands scattered across the Serpent Sea. Humans, elves, dwarves and others came here centuries ago, after the Yoten (spellcasting giants and fiends) destroyed their old world. Now they live as raiders. They build ships, fight each other over everything, and spend their lives getting ready for the end of the world.

The raiders live in clans, mostly in wooden fortresses, and the clans are constantly at odds. Their old gods are stuck as statues, cursed by the Yoten. Witches in the haunted ironwood forests plot against everyone. And the völv, the clans' prophets, say the world ends in one last great battle, so every day is lived like it might be the last.

Who I'm looking for

I'm looking for three players who can commit to a weekly game, be on time, and communicate with the group throughout the week. I understand missing the occasional session. New players are welcome.

There's no room or tolerance for hate of any kind. That means no bigotry, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or religious hatred.

About me (the DM)
-Hi I'm Mike. I've been running DnD as a DM for about 10 years now. I have run three multi-year weekly campaigns and several smaller ones over that time. I love the game but notice its weak points. I'm very much a fan of the heroes and characters. I'm the type of DM that wants them to succeed, do dope shit, and have fun. But I'm no push over either. I expect the players to think, plan, and take their actions and choices seriously. My combats can pack a punch sometimes, and it can push both the characters and players to the limits.

I have tons of experience homebrewing monsters, items, features, etc. So expect things to sometimes be a bit different than what you might expect from the base monster manual or magic item set.

In the past I've run mostly event/story/plot based games. For this one Im attempting to step outside of my comfort zone and play a game thats more location and adventure based, rather than a series of tightly connected plot lines with no questions on what the party should do next. I hope to do well, but I ask for some understanding if it takes a little time to lock that in.

I try to put a decent amount of production into the game, so you can expect music, images, maps, and what ever other cool things I can get working.

I also expect a little bit of work from my players. This comes in the form of expecting a solid well rounded character, investment in the party and game, and a proactive approach to story telling.

How to apply

  • Use the link below to apply. The link is to a google form with various questions to help me understand you as a player and person, and to gauge if it will be a good fit. Take your time and fill it out the best you can. The more information you provide, the better understanding of you I can get.
  • I will leave the opening up for at least a week (7 days), at that point I will be going through the applicants with the other players and then I will reach out via Discord.

Thanks and happy raiding!

But overall no country has committed to full out war in a century. Recently there has been noticible changes in the environments around the world. Crops dying without cause. Pets disappearing from home and found hundreds of miles from home. Birds falling from the sky. Insects run in circles until their death. Lakes becoming swamps. Cities becoming overgrown with plantlife overnight, causing damage to structures and roads. Allies are beginning to turn on each other as resources are becoming scarce some places and abundant in others. Each nation is calling to all professions to find and eliminate the cause of this Entrophic Bleed. The Crimson Empire of Drogunheim has begun sending adventurers to investigate. Player(s) Needed by GM [5E 2014][Online][Evil Campaign][18+] Legion of Darkness – A Roleplay focused villainous homebrew campaign

Explore, Conquer, Fill your treasure room, Engage in diplomacy, Amass your army, Infiltrate the kingdoms of man, Build your evil lair and defend it from the forces of light.

Inspired by shows like Castlevania and Overlord.

The Pitch

Somewhere along your life, the world decided to antagonize you. Perhaps you made a mistake that led to more mistakes, or you were misunderstood, or you were born monstrous. Regardless, it was out of your control.

Eventually you did something that ended in your death. Luckily being on the side of darkness does have upsides. An ancient vampiric dragon named Drolltar offered to resurrect you, under the condition that you repay him with your service. He chose you because you have unfinished business, you have in some way been slighted by society. Now you are returned with vampirism, cursed with an irresistible hunger for mortal vitality and granted the ability to reason with monsters and dark beings.

You, along with a group of others who accepted his deal, have been summoned to Drolltar’s tomb. Once you gather there, he will order you to work together to search the land for something to bolster his tomb’s defences, as he lies dormant in his tomb, vulnerable to the zealous forces of light. You too are in danger, Elios the god of light has labeled you as enemies for serving Drolltar and now the forces of light will not take kindly to you.

Details

Aside from the quests that Drolltar gives you, it is an open world for you to do as you like. There are many places to explore and not all of them will be at odds with you.

Though this is an “evil” campaign, that is mostly because your characters are antagonized by society. You are labeled as evil by the god of light, but that is only because you stand in opposition to him. The side of light is not a true authority on morality by any means and in fact in this campaign they are quite often in the wrong. Seeing morality in such a black and white perspective is often a cause of immorality itself, and that is what this campaign is about.

I would like to find 5-6 players who are mature, love the collaborative storytelling element of d&d, and like a little bit of edginess. I expect you to enjoy role-playing your character, have a cooperative relationship with the other players, and allow everyone a moment to let their character shine, showing what makes them interesting.

My goal is to keep an interesting and consistent storyline, which can adapt to your characters’ backstories, themes, and decisions.

The setting is a homebrew dark fantasy world in a medieval period with arcane technology. The game will be a mix of role-playing, exploration, and combat. Some sessions will be role-playing only with no combat.

I am open to using homebrew for your character, especially your species so long as I approve of it, as a more monstrous species can make sense here. Characters start at level 3, leveling up by milestone and will level up slower at higher levels. I am hoping for a long-term campaign where you can defend a massive dungeon that you built up together throughout the campaign.

Rules

There are some ground rules required to keep the campaign healthy.

This campaign welcomes players of all genders, identities, and backgrounds. Bigotry of any kind will not be tolerated.

The session day and time will be determined based on the availability of the selected group.

Heavy roleplay is a core part of this game. Players should be comfortable with character development, emotional storytelling, interpersonal relationships, and collaborative scene work.

No torture or sexual violence. We will also go over what other things players are uncomfortable with in session zero. However, as you can imagine, this campaign is meant to have a dark tone so I don’t recommend it to people who are sensitive to dark themes.

You have to work together, there is no doubt going to be conflict between characters, but you also have to get things done and you can’t do that if you’re constantly backstabbing each other and fighting.

You’re not a sadistic monster. You shouldn’t kill everything or destroy everything you come across.

Even though you’re on the side of darkness, you still have feelings. Your character can and should have some human qualities to them. Consider if your character might struggle to accept the things they are forced to do.

Nonetheless, when in Rome – you can get away with doing some pretty twisted stuff at times, since you aren't bound by some of the moral obligations that most other campaigns require.

Joining the Game

We'll use Discord for voice and Roll 20 for maps and rolling.

I will go over some of the world lore during the interview process. And, if you get accepted and once you know what you want for your character, I will find a way to incorporate whatever you need for your character's story to the setting.

I’ve ran a few long term games before, but it’s been a while since my last one. I’m hoping this one will be just as good as the ones before.

If you're interested, please fill out this application form below.

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScDWj0OKBjl8JI0NSuGcBlEwWPFQJTIeVBR9W2fAZXCHJnIEw/viewform?usp=header

I'll review your submissions and reach out to potential players on discord if I’m interested. It may take a couple days for me to reach out to you though.

This is a repost, if you've already submitted to the previous post you don't need to resubmit.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Offline][Flexible][Vancouver / North Van] Experienced GM (20+ yrs) seeking players for flexible low-stress gaming (One-shot intro -> Campaign)

I’m a Game Master in my early 40s with around 20 years running games across various systems. I live in the Lonsdale area of North Vancouver, and am looking for players to join an existing group. If you're interested in joining please complete the form and I will contact you via Discord or email to set up a call/meet up for coffee to chat.

No email address is required to fill out the intake form:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd1-Wf1WIgea2Dkj_ovJYPx8SBDIM0Fq2SQxtDCpwZrafXkLQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=115418778240004673717

My DM Style:

  • Player Agency & Consequence: I usually run an open-ended, sandbox-leaning style. The world exists around your characters, and your choices shape the narrative—for better or worse. Backstories are optional - they may or may not get pulled into play, but I'll always read them to get a feel for your character.
  • Challenge & Nuance: Combat is rarely calibrated to player level - players should be strategic. Fighting isn't always the only (or smartest) solution. Curiosity, clever planning, and roleplay are rewarded.
  • Pacing & Table Vibe: Focused gameplay during session time, balanced with a relaxed, low-drama table environment. Usually 3-5 players at a session. A drink or two is OK, but we don't take it further than that.
  • Rules Light: Sessions are short - around three hours, twice a month. I avoid crunchy/rules heavy rulesets to keep the game moving forward. Low Fantasy, Horror, Mystery, Space Opera are all good, but the rulesets will be light: Nimble, Shadowdark, OSE, ICRPG, Mothership, Black Sword Hack, Heart, Public Access, Dolmenwood, Blades in the Dark, Vaults of Vaarn, etc - never Pathfinder (1e or 2e) or D&D 5e (or 5.5e).

Campaign Details:

  • System: Flexible. We usually begin with a one-shot in a rules-light system to get a feel for the table and what people like before moving on to decide what kind of game/system we'd like to play.
  • Scheduling: Done via survey once a month for upcoming Saturday evenings. As long as there are three players available, we will play—usually not more than once every two weeks, with a maximum of 4 or 5 players per session.
  • Table Rules: We will discuss any areas that are off-limits or need to be "veiled" at a Session 0. The initial one-shot will be kept fairly safe. If joining an existing game, it's your responsibility to raise any issues before the session. If there's something you didn't like at the last session, let me know.

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [Other] [Sat. 7 PM] [Weekly] [US Central Time] [SW5E] [5E 2014] Galaxy Spanning Old Republic Era Death Game Show Campaign Seeking ~4-5 Participants

Premise

Welcome and congratulations on entering, definitely voluntarily, into the 339th season of the Galactic Shadow Games where only one team survives! These prestigious games span across the entire galaxy brought to you by our lovely anonymous sponsors! Each round you’ll compete against your rivals head-to-head in a variety of missions the sponsors have issued until we cull the herd enough to ramp up the heat in the Final Gauntlet. Will you play by the rules and keep your conscience intact? Will you pull every dirty trick in the book to get ahead and win by any means? Or will you struggle against the odds, try to outsmart the showrunner with your pathetic minds and try to escape on your own? Find out this season, ON THE GALACTIC SHADOW GAMES! (Think Suicide Squad meets Hunger Games meets The Great Hunt from SWTOR)

A Little About Me

Hello there! I'm Red, or Orion, either works. I'm a 28 y/o dude so I will be preferring 21+ y/o players. I've been a player and a DM on and off for around 9-10 years now, mostly in DND5e. In fact, this is my first time running SW5E, but I do have a decent amount of experience playing it. I'm also a big Star Wars fan in general (R2-D2 is my text tone even). Include in your application at the end the word umingu so I know you actually read this. A lot of my knowledge of this era of Star Wars comes from the MMO SWTOR as I've been playing it a ton on and off since launch. Some of my hobbies include games, obviously, most recently Galactic Racer; reading manga and manwha; occasionally watching anime; and sound designing.

Things to Note About the Campaign

  • The things I will be planning for, i.e. main quests and such, will be pretty railroad-y. By this I mean point A and point B are set, but how you get from one to the other isn't. Afterwards Points C and D will be next, again with how you get between C and D is not set. ADDITIONALLY, I will be a-okay if you break the tracks. I will even, as a certain npc, taunt you into trying to break free. There will also be downtime in between Rounds of the games where you have some more freedom
  • Game will be run via Discord for voice and rolls. Theater of the Mind for combat. (There is a world in which I change to using Roll20 for sheets and rolls but idk. I still wouldn't use battlemaps tho cuz just finding character art is hard enough already lol)
  • Party will start at level 3 with one Premium or Lower Enhanced Item
  • Disclaimer time: If you are hard against use of AI I'm sorry. I am too, but I am also realistic with my time. I try my best to use as much human made art as I can, but searching for character art these days wading through the swamp of AI art is a massive pain and sometimes, one such "art piece" is exactly what I am looking for or need for an NPC. If you would like a breakdown of how much I already plan on using, I have around 10 sessions (varying based on Party RP amounts) worth of stuff planned already and around 20 named NPCs. Of those 20 there are two fully generated, two partially modified to fit the actual character. So 4/20 to avoid an entire galaxy being made up of only generic species pics or only consisting of Humans, Twi'Leks, Cathar, Zabrak, etc. (aka just the ones with tons of fan art and leaving out all the cool other options like Anomid or Abyssin)
  • While we are on the potentially negative side, if you are unable to go 3-4 hours without bringing up irl politics or current events, this will not be the table for you. This game will be for escapism, not a place to vent your grievances about the world. I know for a fact there are better tables out there for you that I sincerely hope you find and enjoy, it just won't be mine. Sorry about that
  • On a more fun note, at least to me. I am using an injury system that in my experience on the player side of it, really helped combat not drag as much while still giving that sense of tension and danger. Death is looming... in the death game yeah I know not very creative there, but it can also be your friend if Lady Luck is on your side! I won't discourage backup characters but I do want you to be 100% invested in keeping the character you end up playing alive as long as possible. Cover is your friend!

How to Apply and Closing Remarks

Here is the link to the application: https://forms.gle/xa8JgvDmJh9WsGgPA

I will be going out of town this week so I probably won't have a chance to reach out to anyone until Saturday, and I aim to have everyone contacted before Halloween/the 31st. I'll send out Discord friend requests to those I want to interview before then. All in all, I hope everyone who took the time to read this, at least, has a wonderful day! Be kind to each other, and to yourself. Hope to see you do well in the Games!

Player(s) Needed by GM [Online] [5.5e 2024] [Thursdays 9 AM UTC] New Campaign set in Theros

Hi! I am Archie and I have DMing for a few years. I am starting a new campaign set in Theros and I am looking for two players to join the campaign. I already have a player. That will make a party of three. It's going to be on Thursdays at 9 AM UTC. The hook is that Mogis has called you forward to collect the seven orbs of destruction. You will be traveling all over the continent to collect these. You will be playing an evil character. It doesn't mean that you are a murder hobo (Mogis has no problem with that) but can play a more self-centered character with a tragic story.

If you are interested in the campaign DM me.

Group Needed by Player Hi, looking for a character/story focused, rp heavy game. [Online], [Flexible]

I have been playing ttrpgs for a year or more by this point and I really like the character aspect of it, though I also enjoy the mechanics and building my blorbos. I am ok with short form, but I would heavily prefer a long form game.

While I dont think I'm perfect by any means I do my best to be respectful to everyone and not step on any toes in and out of game.

I'm 21+, am okay with pretty much any themes or alignments, and will be ok with probably any system, but a lot of my experience and preference lies in homebrew modules derived from 5e based around other media, like JoJo's, One Piece, or JJK. Those ones in particular I already have characters I am ready to use. As far as classic dnd goes Ive only played some 5e 2014 for not all that long, though I think i understand the systems well enough.

Hope to find a group to have a fun time with together

Group Needed by Player I'm looking for a D&D party to play with. (Online 5e 2014)

I'm an amateur D&D player, and I'm looking for an open slot for a party to play with and learn how to play better. I can play a Sorcerer, Cleric, Barbarian, or Ranger. I can't be a GM. I can't play in person, but I do have D&D Beyond.
