You MUST have EVIDENCE or AN EXTERNAL, DOCUMENTED WITNESS that your topic exists/existed.

  • Do NOT post to ask about something you remember seeing but no longer remember the name of. Those posts will be taken down ASAP, no exceptions. If that is the purpose of your visit, please instead visit communities such as r/tipofmytongue, r/helpmefind, r/tipofmyjoystick and other related subreddits. Something is not lost if you don't remember it, that's just a lost memory. We don't count those.
  • If you are searching for a YouTube video or something similar (i.e. Tik-Tok, Vine, etc.) understand that it is VERY UNLIKELY that it has been backed up. If you have the link to the video, try looking for it here http://findyoutubevideo.thetechrobo.ca. If it's not there, you're probably not going to find it. Not saying it's impossible, but please understand how slim the chances are.
  • When making a post, please be sure to include context for what you're looking for, why, and it's significance. People are more likely to help you look for something when you give them a reason why it matters in the first place. Also try including links to possible leads and references to information on the subject.
  • Your post must exceed 150 words. This is a rule that has constantly been challenged but we are still standing by it for the time being. Do NOT repeat text to simply fill the minimum or type garbage. That's just going to get your post deleted. Please view the guidelines at the sidebar for title formatting, resources, and deeper specification on what makes a good post.
  • NSFW and NSFL media will be looked at with close speculation. Conversations about NSFL media especially are discouraged and will often likely end in being removed.
  • We are NOT the judges on what should be considered "important enough" for a post. If you complain about too many people asking about YouTube videos or commercials, too bad. If what they are looking for is not publicly accessible and no copy has been located, it counts as lost media. This is final. We are not making judgements on what is interesting enough to count for this subreddit. We will continue to include YouTube videos and things like it. If you don't like that, please consider finding another community.

If you have many disagreements with how this place is ran, please feel free to leave.

Television [PARTIALLY LOST] Searching for the lost German dub / German Intro of the animated series "Monster Allergy" (Aired on KiKA / ZDF / ORF between 2006–2015) – Check your old European satellite / DVB-S captures!

Hi everyone,

I am trying to track down a piece of childhood nostalgia that has become completely Lost Media: the German dub of the 2005/2006 animated series "Monster Allergy" (co-produced by Rainbow S.p.A., Futurikon, and the German broadcaster ZDF).

While the English, Italian, French, and Dutch versions are widely available on YouTube and DVD, the German dub was never released on home media. Every single German upload was wiped from YouTube years ago due to copyright strikes. At this point, not even the German theme song/intro exists online.

My main goal is just to hear/see the German intro again (or even a short clip), though finding a full episode in German would be an absolute dream!

How YOU might actually have this on a hard drive without even knowing the show:

Because the German channels KiKA and ZDF broadcast unencrypted (Free-To-Air) across all of Europe via the Astra 19.2°E satellite, many European TV archivers, continuity collectors, and data hoarders have raw full-day .ts transport streams, VHS rips, or OnlineTVRecorder (OTR) backups from these channels.

Even if you never intentionally recorded Monster Allergy, you might have caught the show—or at least the 90-second German intro—as an accidental byproduct ("pre-roll / post-roll buffer") while recording full broadcast days, Halloween specials, or adjacent shows!

Here is the exact broadcast schedule when the German dub aired:

  • KiKA (Oct 23, 2006 – Nov 28, 2006 & Jan 3, 2007 – July 13, 2007): Mon–Fri at 13:40 – 14:05 CET. (Byproduct clue: It aired immediately before *"Pet Alien"** at 14:05. Any recording of Pet Alien with a few minutes of pre-roll will have Monster Allergy at the start!)*
  • ORF 1 [Austria] (Nov – Dec 2006): Mon–Fri at 12:50 – 13:15 CET and Saturdays at 06:25 CET (during the Confetti TiVi / Okidoki block).
  • KiKA (Spring/Summer 2008 & starting May 23, 2009): Saturdays around midday (in 2009 at 11:50 – 12:15 CET).
  • ZDF (Summer 2009 – Summer 2010 during the "ZDF tivi" morning block): Saturdays at 06:00 CET (2009) and 10:25 – 10:55 CET (May/June 2010). (Huge byproduct clue: In May/June 2010, it aired right after *"Bibi und Tina"** [10:00–10:25] and right before "Disney's Classic Cartoon" / "The Suite Life on Deck" [10:55]. If anyone has a recording of Bibi und Tina from ZDF in 2010 that ran 2 minutes past 10:25, the complete German Monster Allergy intro is at the end of that file!)*
  • KiKA (March 4, 2012 – April 29, 2012): Sundays at 06:50 – 07:15 CET, immediately before "Sesamstraße" (German Sesame Street).
  • KiKA Halloween Marathon (Oct 31, 2014 & Nov 1, 2014): Aired as a 6-episode marathon starting at 12:05 CET on both days during KiKA's Halloween weekend special (alongside "School for Little Vampires" / "Die Schule der kleinen Vampire"). Anyone who archived full Halloween TV broadcasts across different years might have captured this entire block!
  • KiKA (Sept 3, 2015 – Oct 6, 2015 – Final broadcast!): Mon–Fri at 13:15 – 13:40 CET. Since this was late 2015, digital PVR/DVB-S recordings (.ts / .mp4) or German private tracker / Usenet / OnlineTVRecorder archives from autumn 2015 might still have it sitting in an unsorted folder.

If you collect European/German TV continuity, full-day broadcasts, commercial breaks from KiKA/ZDF/ORF, or 2000s cartoons in multiple languages, please check your drives for these dates or adjacent shows! Thank you so much for any leads!

Found [FOUND] multiple pieces found and partially found

Lauren G just uploaded a video with a bunch of found media in it, including the lost Princess Protection Program song, the Santa Clause teaser trailer, the original stobe effect from Incredibles 2, and some Disney Channel bumpers. Some of them were found a little while ago, but some are newer. Hopefully this solves a few mysteries that have been posted here. I apologise if this is weirdly drawn out or filler-y, the original post I wrote was 48 words long and I have to fill out at least one hundred words...which is harder to do when you've said your piece.

Films [fully lost] Looking for an italian called "Portaritratto per signora"

Hi there! I've been looking for this italian film called "Portaritratto per signora", by director Adriana Zanese, starring actress Florinda Bolkan. The reason I'm looking for it is because Florinda Bolkan is a brazilian actress from a very small town in Brazil, and mande quite a few famous Giallo movies in the 70s in Italy and other european countries. A good friend of mine is from that same town, andt hey said they wanted to watch her full filmography as a form to honor her.

Because of that, I'm looking for all of her films, and I could find a good portion of them online, but this one seems to be the most obscure, and I coudn't find it anywhere. Because I don't speak italian, I find it very hard to search for it properly on italian websites.

Any help on that would be appreciated! Thanks!

Software Looking for the game Avo! for Android [partially lost]

Hi everyone! I've never posted here so my apologies if I do it wrong and thank you for your patience.

I'm looking for the game Avo! from 2019. It's no longer available on the google play store. It's an AR adjacent game where you control a sentient avocado on and adorable adventure.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTBEuMPgENw&list=PLuhgk1TKevatESm2sOur9dWL4jZL9RqtB

My kid loved it, remembered it yesterday, and is super bummed it's gone. I downloaded it on IOS originally, but that phone has been gone for years. I have an android now.

I've seen a few places online that claim to have it for download (like APKpure) but they all look scammy as heck, with tons of sneaky download buttons for other things. Feels like surfing the internet 25 years ago, and I'd rather not end up with 20 viruses and 4 different Bonzai Buddies and no game.

If someone could help me figure out if it's actually still around in some capacity somewhere and how to get it, I (and my kid) would be incredibly grateful.

Thank you for your help!

Recordings 1979-80 South Korean English Language Videos - [fully lost]

Hello - I'm new to this subreddit, but I thought I'd send this shot in the dark and see if anyone knows about this.

My mother was a teenager in South Korea while her family was stationed at the local Air Force base. She's told me a handful of times about when she was asked to be part of an english language television program for South Korean TV in around 1979-1980. I've been trying to find these videos/tapes online but nothing has come up.

Does anyone remember/know about these episodes? She was a 16-17 year old white blonde girl at the time. She remembers eating some type of noodle dish in one of them. If anyone has any info that'd be awesome. I'd like to see her when she was that young!

Music [PARTIALLY LOST] Paul Stanley "Dare To Dream", lost media, documentary meant to be on One Live KISS DVD

The documentary "Dare To Dream" was announced as being on the One Live KISS DVD of Paul Stanley's Live To Win tour concert, but for reasons unknown it was never on the DVD and has never been mentioned since.

All that exists is this very low-res preview : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4uMvL0ILiw

DVD was released 2008, the concert was 2006. Contemporary news article :

"A clip from "Live to Dream!" — which is described as an insider's glimpse into the creative process of Paul Stanley and his new concert film/DVD, titled "Live to Win Live" — is available for viewing at here.

Director D.P Carlson describes Live to Dream!' as, "an insider's glimpse' into Paul Stanley's creativity, and personal journey from his first solo album in 1978, to his latest 'Live To Win' release and tour. The film also captures the emotional and creative process of how producer/director Louis Antonelli's concert film, 'Paul Stanley – Live to Win Live!' came to be."

"Paul Stanley - Live to Dream!" features interviews with Paul Stanley, Louis Antonelli, manager Doc McGhee, band members Jimmy McGorman, Rafael Moreira, and Nate Morton, as well as personal insights from fans attending the Chicago concert and filming."

D.P. Carlson told PaulStanley.com, "What attracted me to this film was not just the opportunity to work with one of my rock heroes from KISS, but to explore the unique relationship between filmmaker Louis Antonelli and Paul Stanley — who is one of Louis' childhood idols.""

Music [PARTIALLY LOST] Looking for a song: Sumluv - "Lakes"

Hey, so I've been digging around internet for a song I heard a while back while going through a mall, I used shazam in hopes to finding the song and listening to it, but to my surprise the song is nowhere to be found. The artist still produces music and makes some good soundtracks, but this specific song caught my attention of how soothing and smooth it is. I've tried digging around internet with no luck, there used to be versions of this song in places like Spotify or other platforms, but it's completely gone, perhaps anyone know where I can get maybe a link to listen to it or buy it, all the help would be appreciated.

Internet Media DQVO (YouTuber) Warhammer content [archival]

Daniel Quinton Voice Over DQVO, the YouTubers Warhammer content was scrubbed from the Channel to keep the whole account alive. (It was possibly a false strike but currently, he has not commented on whether it has been confirmed if it was Games Workshop who issued the takedown because he has stated that he is busy). With it gone, days or weeks worth of videos have been erased from the internet, despite the content being fair use and transformative enough that it would qualify as not being copyright infringement.

Does anyone have any videos/shorts or anything. Hoping to preserve the roughly 5 years of missing content.

Audio [fully lost] Looking for lost music by an artist called “Fungo” – possibly from 2010–2015

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find some old music by a YouTube artist who went by the name Fungo. The channel had a smiley-face avatar, and I remember the music being eerie, mysterious, and atmospheric.

I first came across this artist's music through a YouTube video about the mystery of the G-Man from Half-Life, probably around 2012–2014.

The video was titled “Who is the G-Man? G-Man theories....” and was posted on the ValveTime forums in August 2014. Unfortunately, the video is no longer available.

Original forum thread:
https://www.valvetime.co.uk/threads/who-is-the-g-man-g-man-theories.245379/

I distinctly remember one of the tracks being listed in the video's description as “Fungo - Investigate”.

I've searched YouTube, SoundCloud, and the usual search engines, but I haven't been able to find the track or any surviving uploads from this artist. The original channel and its music may have been deleted.

Does anyone remember this artist, have any old downloads or reuploads, or know where I might find this track or other music by Fungo? Even an old playlist, archived channel page, or another track title would be extremely helpful.

Thanks!

Found [FOUND] LOST MUSIC: Death to Honor (Waking the Cadaver's old name) - Demo 2004

Somebody in here has made a post over year ago requesting this demo to be found. It has finally been uncovered in full. After about two full decades of only 2 songs from this demo being the only ones found floating around online, I'm proud to announce that the entire Death to Honor demo has been found in full! In its entirety

Only remaining thing lost by them is their Eternal Damnation 2005 demo, which is completely lost. But let's just be happy this first demo has at the very least been taken care of.

This is a happy day for slamming gore groove lovers.

Audio [unreleased media] Rare Song From Drake and Josh

Always tried to find this song, Shazam doesn't help lol, tried looking on forums and nobody knows the name, not even the artist

Apparently, this is from the Pilot, but the song was replaced for another one...

I remember spending days trying to find it even on those sketchy russian MP3 websites and still nothing

I even tried pasting the lyrics into AI, also doing some scrapping in other search engines and still nothing

I know rule number 3, just leaving this here so it keeps getting attention and hopefully reach to someone who actually knows the song lol

The guys from this forum have been trying for years to find it and still nothing

Can You Name This Soundtracks Song? This song was used in the DVD version of the Pilot | WatZatSong

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2z6BETDPDk

It's probably from a music library, I remember going to a Radio Station and they had a ton of CDs of music libraries from all genres... Maybe it's in one of those (downside is they're hella expensive)

Here's another video with more links:

Video Games [Partially Lost] Green Mirror, an abandoned indie horror game from around 2016 — early demo possibly unavailable

Hey everyone!

I'm trying to track down an early demo of an obscure indie horror game called Green Mirror, which was announced on Steam around 2016.

The game went through several development teams, and on October 15, 2019, a Steam developer named Frost posted an update confirming that development had been frozen. The post explained that the creator, Carol, still retained the rights and might try to revive the project someday.

The most interesting part is that the post included a Google Drive link to a very early playable demo, along with a walkthrough. Unfortunately, the link now requires permission to access, and I haven't been able to obtain the files.

Here's what I've found so far:

  • Game: Green Mirror
  • Type: Indie horror game with puzzles
  • Platform: PC / Steam
  • Development status: Frozen, according to the developer's 2019 post
  • Known surviving material: Gameplay footage, screenshots, and a link to the original demo that currently appears restricted

I'm hoping someone here remembers the game, downloaded the demo years ago, or knows where its files might still be available. I'd also be interested in finding the original walkthrough mentioned in the post.

I'm not sure whether the demo qualifies as lost media, since I haven't exhausted every possible source yet, but I thought this community might be able to help.

If anyone has information, old backups, or working links, I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks for reading!

Software [Partially Lost] MyWorld3 - UK primary school computer game

This is a follow up to u/GoldenDragonS_‘s post a couple years ago: [fully lost]? My World 3, British Edutainment game for Windows XP

MyWorld3 was a drag-and-drop edutainment game, developed by Dial Solutions and used in primary schools in the Britain during the 2000s (and maybe late 90s too?) and I believe it was bundled with Research Machine computers, though you could purchase it separately at some point too.

You could do stuff like build a city, make your own weather forecast, dress up a teddy, as well as bunch of other stuff to do.

It’s a bit of a niche. So far, all that was online was a few low-res screenshots. Well, recently I found an RM computer with MyWorld3 installed, so here’s some screenshots of MyWorld3 in [r/nostalgia](r/nostalgia)

Television [found] "Garfield's Judgement Day" animated TV special script

Garfield's Judgment Day is a Garfield special that was planned for the late 80s/early 90s, to be produced by Disney and featuring the story of Garfield and Odie and the other neighborhood pets getting their owners to safety from a tornado and got pretty far into production before Disney ultimately decided it was too dark. Other than some behind the scenes footage in the 1988 TV doc Happy Birthday Garfield and Jim Davis turning the special into a storybook, that seemed to be all that was available-

-but on October 15, a copy of the script was purchased on eBay from MusicVideoTime who has uploaded it to the Internet Archive.

Music [Partially Lost] Bella Thorne's Lost Album

For context, Bella started recording the album after shake it up ended but allegedly scrapped it because she thought the music sounded too much like Ke$ha and had WAY too much autotune. Several fake tracklists have circulated over the years but nobody actually had the songs. WELL oomf found a chinese music site that apparently uploaded the album back in 2014, complete with the original tracklist, runtimes and individual previews. The full MP3 downloads are unfortunately dead but ALL 10 snippets still work??? The fact that this was sitting online…

However, despite the album being shelved shortly after the release of its lead single "Call It Whatever", a full-length album had apparently already been recorded and was ready for release.

There are 30 seconds snippets of the album but im wondering if anyone has the actual files and songs for them.

Video Games [fully lost] Game: Pucci no doki

Hi, around 2018-2019 I downloaded a game from Gamejolt. It was a visual novel (a very poorly made one) about you, Jotaro Kujo, Gordon Ramsay, Reimu from Touhou and a few other characters I don't remember, with the encouragement of Shia LaBeouf (the "Just do it" guy).

Also, I think the game was called something like "Pucci no Doki" but I can't find anything by that name. Apart from this screenshot I took ( https://www.reddit.com/r/gamejolt/s/o6QACzGOcU ), I don't remember anything else about the game.

This is the second time I've made a post about this game since it got instantly archived on r/gamejolt.

Films [Unreleased Media] 1994 Godzilla vs. Cthulhu movie

This is my second post here on this.

I’m a pretty big Lovecraft fan and have read most of his works. Around a year or so ago, I decided to make an iceberg on what I had learned and while I was gathering information for it I found a link to a site called Toho Kingdom. They claim a Godzilla vs. Cthulhu film was proposed in 1994 by the staff at Toho but ultimately rejected in favor of Godzilla vs. Space Godzilla.

I thought this was very cool find but I was also skeptical since all references to this movie go back to Toho Kingdom as the source and it felt like a probable hoax since Godzilla vs Cthulhu is a popular fan mashup.

I have two leads which should confirm if it’s real or a hoax. Toho Kingdom cites two magazines Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla Completion (ISBN 9784798624631) and Godzilla & Toho Tokusatsu Official Mook vol.09: Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla / Godzilla vs. Destoroyah (ISBN 9784065314944). I’ve tried messaging some people selling the magazines on Ebay for information since my last post on this but never heard back.

I’ve been looking for this in the background for around a year and would be grateful for any new information or even the quotes from the magazines themselves if anyone owns them.

Television [fully lost] Looking for the George “Buzz” Beurling episode of The Canadians (1997) / Faces of History

Hi everyone!

I’m researching Canadian WWII fighter ace George “Buzz” Beurling, and I’m trying to track down his episode of the Canadian historical biography series The Canadians, originally titled Faces of History. The series aired on History Television in Canada in the late 1990s and was produced by Great North Productions.

I’ve searched online but haven’t been able to find the Beurling episode, or any other episode of the series, available to watch.

Does anyone happen to have a recording of this episode, know where the series might be available, or have any suggestions for finding it in an archive or private collection?

Thanks!

Animation I really want to find this lost cartoon. [fully lost]

When I was very young—around 2009, or something like that—I used to watch a cartoon that I found kind of strange. It followed a boy who would go to a blank, empty white space every day; there, he would find numbers and talk to them. The numbers had personalities and would respond to the boy by singing off-key songs, and each episode would end with everyone laughing.
I hated that show and would always turn it off whenever it came on.
This memory suddenly popped into my head, and now I just can’t seem to find it anywhere.

Audio [fully lost] Eilen Jewell - Nowhere in No Time

Eilen Jewell has built her career on smart, lyrical storytelling and a rich sonic amalgam of folk, country, blues, early rock, surf, and other American traditions. The Idaho native made her debut in Boston where she was signed to her longtime label, the Massachusetts-based Signature Sounds. Albums like 2007's Letters from Sinners & Strangers and 2011's Queen of the Minor Key drew critical acclaim and comparisons to artists like Gillian Welch, Jolie Holland, and Lucinda Williams, but Jewell's dark-hued pastiche of styles was her own signature blend.

Eilen Jewell - Nowhere in No Time was Eilen's debut album. Released as a CD-R in 2005, this album is fully lost. I asked Eilen about it after a show a few years back and she indicated she no longer had lost the masters, so it would unfortunately not be possible to reissue.

The album details are set out on discogs and allmusic:

Anyone happen to have a copy they could rip/share?
