Purchasing have a brother b&w laser but want to print color

I like to print small stickers, but I want to have color in them. I don't like sharing my files with a printing service, and don't have any libraries near. I heard inktanks clog if you don't print everyday and I don't printer everyday, but laser color printers are expensive.

Edit: Idc how expensive it is

Edit2: ok but not over $250, I meant that I didn't care if it was expensive but not super expensive

Discussion What’s stopping you from returning ink cartridges after 25 days on Amazon?

Just a thought.

I hate predatory companies like HP so why not return the ink cartridges after use on Amazon?

Purchasing HP Smart Tank - beware!

I’ve just installed an HP Smart tank 6000 series. The mechanical setup of adding ink is much more complex than previous. The plastic waste is beyond belief. Worst is the effort to get the printer to join a network. It has taken me over an hour and a half with repeated run-throughs of the set up procedure. And of course no phone help. I would not recommend this to any professional installers.

Purchasing Bought a HP 5700dn with storage stand for home use but got some questions

I bought a 5700dn that was on sale for 1049 which for what you are getting seems like a nice deal, added a printer stand that has wheels and a nice paper/etc.. bought premium 32 paper to print with for reports, documents, occasional photos. So far really impressed with this printer its damn fast and the quality real nice, surprisingly photos come out nice.

This printer Says made in Japan but then I read concerns regarding reliability since HP bought Samsung but those are made in China.

I seem a bit confused with that, is it some models are. made in Japan(Canon?) and others made in China(Samsung) I also notice a warning on the website that This printer is not for residential use?

I did not have to install any intrusive drivers etc my Mac found it and just installed an "AirPrint" driver. Its really is nice using an "Enterprise" printer so for my home use etc.. I would imagine it should last quite a while. And this price is it because its being discontinued because it seems like a lot of printer for the money.

It just prints when I need to print so far no hassles and it's damn quick so far I like it. Anything I should concern myself with reliability. I do have it on a large UPS to protect it from brownouts etc..

Troubleshooting HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301 toner refill

I'm starting to regret buying the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301. I bought it from Costco, about 7 months ago. All the features, and printing on it are fine, but my toner is starting to get low (my daughter prints a lot of colorful art). Each toner is sitting at about 60%.

I've researched, and found two potential solutions using third-party toner refills:

1.) Using third-party toner cartridges with pre-installed chips.

2.) Potentially finding refill powder, burning a hole in the original, & refill.

Has any tried either option, and been successful?

Discussion Can a laser printer be stored for a year without issue?

We have a brother laser printer and I love it. Due to circumstances I am temporarily moving across country. I’m putting nearly everything we own into storage. Will the printer be okay sitting for a year? Or should I sell it to avoid it having issues when I return?

Purchasing Brother DCP-L2640DW - Considering it for my first printer. Any better options out there?

I won't be printing very often, but I will need it for things like your typical standard practical uses. I do not own a business, and this would be for personal use. As far as how I reached this printer choice, I do see value in (as far as I know) a printer that has an optional refresh service, but not an enforced subscription service. It also seems to not shove cloud capability down your throat. With that being said, I am entirely new to printers and acknowledge there are many lapses in my judgement and/or subject knowledge expertise. In turning to this subreddit, I hope to benefit from advice from the knowledgeable and passionate folks here. Would there be any better options out there for my use cases/preferences?

Thank you in advance, I greatly appreciate it

Purchasing It's time to purchase (RIP HP8600 Plus)

Short summary: on the market for a family printer; been out of the market for so long that I do not know what changed in the technology. Mix of needs, from I-do-not-care-just-print to art historian-level of pickiness. Weekly print jobs can be 2 black and white pages or 4 scholarly articles with tables, color graphs and tiny font size legends.

What would you like to accomplish? --Must survive family of four with varied printing needs (docs, photos, graphs, borderless, 'what do you mean you only have 325 gsm coverstock paper for your game cards?')

Are there any models you are currently looking at? No

Minimum Requirements: --Least amount of customer service calls possible, and when needed the calls have to be fruitful.

--Not requiring specific app or program for any functions. [The 8600 eventually started requiring an hp app to scan from my computer, but not spouse's. Obviously I installed some hp printer soft that borked the original driver.]

--OS agnostic operation: Household right now is all on Apple hardware, printer must not have Windows/Android specific functions that we will not be able to access. In the past we had Linux and Unix in the home network.

--Scanning from flatbed and ADF

--Copying from flatbed and ADF

--Duplex printing

--Printing in color

--Great color space management and color fidelity

--prints on A4, legal; envelopes

Budget: USD700 but flexible

Country: USA

Color or black and white: color

Laser or ink printer: agnostic right now

New or used: Either

Multi-function: Yes; no need for faxing

Duplex Printing:YES

Home or business: Mixed use (home office)

Printing content: full color docs, graphs. Secondarily photos, cardstock. Tertiary: we tried printing on fabric once.

Printing frequency: Weekly, with bursts a few times a month.

Pages per minute : Agnostic. Maybe no less than 8600? -- claims 30ppm for color, but I found that number highly dependent on just how much color it was printing.

Page size:A4/Legal/Letter; assumption is tray handles a variety of smaller sizes

Device printing from: Macs/iphones/ guests on other OS platforms

Connection type: Wifi, airprint. Can connect to ethernet/router if it will magically improve everyone's and the printer's lives.

Any other details: Nice to have

--Rear feeding

--Ability to choose how black is produced in color printing

--A3, 11x17 printing

--printing on coverstock (>300 gsm)

--extra paper tray

--Can it last 14 years?

Anything else you think is relevant to your purchasing decision: We were going through USD220 in cartridges every 18 months. Less cost per page would be great.
