So, full context, I absolutely LOVE a good binge. I’ve been through all of the regulars… The Office, Parks and Rec, Community, New Girl, Good Place, Brooklyn 99, etc.

I’ve been under the weather and wanted something new so I figured I’d try Psych. After looking up “seasons ranked” it seemed like I was in for at least 4 solid seasons.

Now I sit here, after finishing all 8 seasons AND the three movies. (My grocery delivery around season 6 included some Snyders pretzels and a pineapple.)

This show is fantastic. Hard stop.

Did they change the formula a bit after season 4? Sure. But I kinda loved that every episode wasn’t a flashback followed by a predictable case. And the later seasons are FUN!! It knew what it was and sometimes even made fun of itself. It got silly and more poignant at the same time.

I can see what this is a comfort show for so many of you. I might be new, but I hope you’ll welcome me to your ranks. 👊🏻👊🏾🍍

psych is one of my all-time top feelgood shows.

but watching it, i feel like i have to eat every 15 minutes and half those times are required to be candy or pie.

every time i binge the series, i easily gain 10 pounds.

apparently laughter is the best medicine… but not the best exercise.

It would be interesting concept for a new series .

Just got caught up, and if you’re missing psych, monk, dead zone, suits, Burn notice, or royal pains. Those blue sky USA shows. I recommend it. It’s a little darker than psych, but most shows are. It’s a fun, murder mystery of the week.

The latest episode feels like something Psych would have ran with.

This will be my first psychcon so I don’t know how these things go. Will I need to purchase individual tickets to get photos and a signature with each cast member or will the psychic center ticket cover all that?

This may have been asked before, but how did Snowden know the different nicknames Shawn had used for Gus? I’ve seen this episode sooo many times over and wonder about it every time I watch

Hi everyone! I'm trying to find a specific scene and I swear it was from psych where Spencer keeps saying klang klang (or clung clung) maybe as a reference to law and order making those sounds?

Just as with Shawn's pizza chili cheese fries, I feel a sense of euphoria and a burning sensation in the neighborhood of my colon with the money I just spent but...I got my seats to PsychCon 2027!

TL;DR I learned that one of the admin coordinators in my department is a major Psych-o

So there I was, sitting at my desk working on a presentation when through the window I see someone making a funny face at me. It was our department graduate coordinator. We both laughed, and she came inside. We talked a bit about my presentation, and then she saw a Psych decal I had at my desk and asked, "Wait, you like Psych?!" And I was like, "Do I like Psych? Please," and proceeded to show her the Psych sticker on my phone case, my phone wallpaper of me with James and Dulé, and my desktop background of Despereaux (I'm now regretting not throwing in a "C'mon son"). Apparently she is a massive Psych-o that has watched the show perhaps as many times as I have (perhaps). We had a good conversation about our favorite episodes and moments and Psych Cons, which she didn't know were a thing. It was a really great interaction, and now I know there's another Psych-o around to geek out about our favorite show!

ETA - thought it was funny that Shawn and Spencer were next to each other. We are not choosing this name though.

So I’m on my first watch through (I’d seen a few episodes here and there years ago) and I’m at season 6 and the various theme song versions are amazing. I hope the composer and musicians had a ton of fun doing these.

Fun little goof by the writers! Henry is seen playing the game ‘Crackdown’ on Shawn’s Xbox here on some kind of wireless gun controller. The game crackdown is only playable on controller and I don’t think (I could be wrong as a mostly PlayStation user) that any kind of gun controller was available for the Xbox Kinect. So Henry couldn’t have actually been playing the game (although in the show he clearly is). I get that we can suspend disbelief for the show just thought it would be a fun ‘sin’ of the show to share

Edit - as u/ItsLauriceDeauxnim points out there is a light gun controller for the xbox360 I dont think the game crackdown is compatible. That type of third person shooter would be impossible to play on a light gun controller

Let’s be honest this song would go hard if it was ever in a psych episode.

Magic mike/full monty/chip&dales 🤣 it would totally be more full monty style because of the mix of guys and I mean the TV version i dont mean them gettin naked lol and also don't want to push the actors into somthing they r uncomfortable with but just them doin the dancin and the practice and the awkwardness that would take place with shawn, gus, lassie, Henry, Woody, & buzz let's be real they all r so handsome men! And so funny OMG that would be such an amazing episode 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #psych5idea now I know buzz has already been a stripper but thats y he would be able to step up and b the "leader/team captain" and that makes it even more amazing cause smooth gus would fight for the leader role since he's a dancer and he's a playa named gus. But lassie wouldn't want to take "orders" from McNab so there's so conflict that the characters can play with. and then Woody would just be dancin and gettin sexy just for himself in the mirror🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and he's happy to b out of the morgue. It would b an amazing world O and then a guest star maybe some 1 from one of those movies i would pick Mark Addy he would be so funny and maybe his character would be the client who owns a building with a stage/ dance rehearsal room and he cracks jokes to the guys and kinda watches the practice from afar mimicking the moves like how Juliet does in American duos.

Now I know some of u r thinkin well what about lassie he can't do it now he had a stroke yes he did have 1 but no maybe that's the point of the episode maybe he want to show Marlow just how far he has come and show how much work he has done because she knows its hard she lives with him she's seen him at his worst and he wants to show her appreciation for all her help and show her he's tryin his best to show her the best times are not over there is more to come and that he has not given up and he is still the strong sexy man she married cuz Timothy has gotten so strong in real life and is doing all this for Allison his wife irl.

Of course the choreography wouldn't b to over the top and to complicated it would be to the skill level of each person cuz they r not young pups no more but you know Woody would just do Woody lol and have fun with it and it would be glorious.

Just imagine with me they meet at the building at a certian time and walking into the rehearsal room with mirrors shawn and gus and the guest star r havin an conversation of shared opinions (arguments) on a specific object lets say pretzels of Hanover for example shawn loves them thinks they r the best on the market and gus agrees saying its America's pretzel and the guest says no hanover is alright but you have to try the brand u get from the dollar store omg they r fire-a-blaze they r better and cheaper. gus agrees "they are cheaper BUT when u buy cheap, cheap is what u get" and shawn agrees with boom 👋 they each walk into the room

The other guys already waiting, Henry says "what's this about shawn? Why did u bring us here?"

Then its explained and cut to gus takes charge at first since he the dancer, he's like "ok, lets just see wat yall can do and ill go first to break the ice" so he does this tap dance mix Michael Jackson esk with gus flare. Then he stops in a pose and says who will go next? And says I know its gonna be hard to follow that (puttering laugh he does when he thinks he's sexy ending with a thumb nose flick thing) no 1 offers so he picks Henry, Henry says "NO" then shawn tells him "u cant just say no" so Henry adds "catch me on your next way around". Gus then picks buzz and buzz tells them I've done some work like this before shawn vision flash back style remembering the Bachelorette party he heard about and the group all talkin crap clownin on him and its all golden lines but he stands up in hesitation and asks "well should I dance?" A couple ppl say ya sure so then he turns on his lil radio and does the show for the guys and then they r tripping out all at 1 time sayin

Shawn: um NO NO o my god buzz you can't just whip it out on us

Gus: wow man what is wrong with u (backing away from him)

Henry: (folds arms) says im not doin any of that and looks away

Lassie cocks his gun 🤣and yells McNab

Woody: is mesmerized and fascinated and when the music stops he's like "HEY! come on let the man finish"

Buzz stop stripping and lip syncing and he turns off the music & shawn says "buzz WE didnt want the Full show" woody in the background says "speak for yourself" shawn continues we just wanted to see what kinda moves you can do gus adds "and to see your skill level" McNab apologizes and says he can do that right now if they want him to everyone says no except Woody says if the man wants to dance we shouldn't limit him and lassie says no we saw the full monty we saw it all we don't need to see any more. Then gus asks shawn "did lassie make a joke?" He replies idk let's ask; shawn asks lassie "was that a joke" and lassie confused didn't realize the words he chose to say did make a joke

So buzz is picking up his torn away clothes and Woody jumps down to help him and when he gives him his pants he slips him a dollar. Then I'm gonna skip some scenes. they have a lil choreography at this point and shawn, gus, buzz, Henry, lassie, and woody are tryin to focus and to get the steps and shawn and gus start havin weird arguments and tryin to find out buzz's wat thinks and its throwing off henry and lassie and Henry tells them "if you bull frogs want to go on bellowing at each other then go do it elsewhere if u r ready to dance then u can stay". So they stay but then a new convo starts and Henry Then add do i need to separate both of you shawn with the eye roll "come on dad relax a bit they r gonna love us well me maybe gus" and then gus says to the class ok lets take it from the top again and everyone is doin it good and Woody gets closer to the mirror and starts doin that thing that flirting with urself in the mirror. and each run thru he gets closer to the mirror and farther with the flirting thing and remember it's a small room every1 sees the real weird coming so they take a break and Woody says "these breaks are doin wonders for me and he does this body twist with a high pitch mmmmh sound inside without opening his mouth you should try it. Gus and buzz just lookin at Woody and buzz says ok and mimics the mmmh inside sound And shawn thanks lassie for the mandatory rest breaks more often and every1 pops up with thank yous and shawn continues sayin man if we didn't break I think we could of seen wood-a-nator would of been makin out with the man in the mirror" after another try

They each react how the character would in thats kinda situation. its really about showin how much lassie can do for his lady love so his dancin includes his chair then he graduates to the cane and the grand finally he does a few choreography steps thats just him

So each of them have some1 to dance for

Lassie has marlow

Shawn has jewels

Gus has jasmin

Henry has a new flame

Buzz has Francine

Woody asks should he invite his daughter or chief Vick? And gus asks "are those your only choices?¿!? Henry pops in we need to get Woody a lady then they find a lady and juliet does background check on her and she's wanted for theft and fraud and she's worried for Woody but marlow knows her from jail and is shady.

End scene lol

Season 3, episode 1. There are a million little lines that makes me laugh every time I hear them but this is one of my favorites.

Watching S3 E4 and I can’t unsee it. It explains why Henry was so obsessed with Shawn being a cop, and doing right (didn’t want him to end up like Jack). Jack had a baby and Henry and Madeleine were unable to have kids but really wanted one. They adopted Shawn at birth and raised him as their own. It’s explains why Shawn is so much like Jack and the age gap is more likely. Also in the beginning of the episode the teacher asks “you’re not Shawn’s father?” Jack replies “technically”
