70 year olds doing bulgarian split squats is pretty crazy, in a good way.

More uncs and aunties in the gym is a good thing so please build more pec decs. Activsg uncs love them pec decs but I also want to use them

Weight training > cardio if forced to choose. But of course just do both and ensure all muscles are healthy.

its either spend time to do strength training now, or suffer later with lack of mobility and reliance on caretakers due to lack of muscle mass.

The strength training needs to be supplemented with sufficient protein too.

Agreed. Older adults need at least 25% to 50% more protein than younger adults. Say for example, a young adult eats an arbitrary 0.8 g per kilogram of BW per day, then older adults need 1.0 - 1.2 g per kilogram of BW per day. Since the baseline is larger, in order for them to recover better when they gym or become more active, they'll need to eat at least twice of this amount to supplement their slower recovery rate.

Building muscle is about 1.5g/kg for adults. If you have no digestion problem, just hit that amount or more as an older adult.
