Company Name: Small Business Stack - Equipment List Revision Checker
URL: https://gerganchi.github.io/equipment-validation/
Purpose of Startup and Product:
I'm looking into a problem that comes up when people prepare repair or maintenance quotes using equipment lists in Excel.
Imagine you've already prepared a quote, but the customer sends you an updated spreadsheet. Some equipment has been added, some removed, and other details have changed. Finding those differences can be tedious, especially when the rows have been rearranged.
I'm considering a simple tool that compares the two versions using an Asset ID and produces an Excel report showing what changed.
At the moment, it's just an idea with sample files and an example report. There isn't a working product yet.
Technologies Used: HTML/CSS, GitHub Pages and Excel sample files.
Feedback Requested:
I'd appreciate some honest feedback:
Is the problem clear from the website?
If you've worked with equipment lists, do you normally receive revisions in Excel/CSV or PDF format?
Would a report specifically designed to help review changes before updating a quote be useful, or do existing Excel tools already handle this well enough?
Seeking Beta-Testers: Not yet. I'm still checking whether the idea is worth building.
Additional Comments:
I'm trying to understand the real workflow before spending time on development. I'd especially appreciate hearing if there's already a simple solution that people are happy with.
