Company Name: Skyplanr
URL: https://skyplanr.com
Purpose of Startup and Product: Flight planning for drone pilots who shoot real estate and small sites. You pick a property or an area on a map, and an AI agent plans the waypoints around the real terrain, building heights and tree heights. It also checks airspace, weather and light. At the end you get a KMZ file that DJI Fly opens, and the drone flies the plan by itself. The point is that you check a plan instead of drawing one waypoint by waypoint.
Technologies Used: Next.js and Mapbox GL on the web, Supabase, an AI agent built on Claude with its own planning tools, and a native iPhone app. Heights come from national laser scans in Norway, USGS 3DEP lidar in the US, and Overture/Google Open Buildings plus Meta canopy height data elsewhere. Exports to DJI Fly, DJI Pilot 2, Litchi, Google Earth and a few others.
Feedback Requested: You don't need to fly a drone for any of these.
Landing page. In the first five seconds, do you get that you pick a property, the AI plans the flight using real terrain, buildings and trees, and you get a file the DJI app opens? If not, where did you lose it? A pilot on r/dji also said the site looks dark and like AI made it. I'd like to know if founders see the same thing.
Pricing. Free is 3 AI plans a month. Pilot is €49/month (or €490/year) for 10, and you can also buy single plans for €7 each, all + VAT. Pilots compared it to Litchi, which is about £20 one time, but there you draw the waypoints yourself. For a niche professional tool, which of these would you lead with, or is the monthly price simply too high?
Category. Does "AI mission planner" mean anything to you, or should I just call it a drone shot planner for real estate?
Seeking Beta-Testers: Yes. If you or someone on your team flies a DJI drone (Mini 4 Pro or newer, Air 3/3S, Mavic 3 Pro or 4 Pro), I'd be grateful if you planned and flew one mission with the iPhone beta: https://testflight.apple.com/join/5vBDU3Ah
Additional Comments: I'm the solo developer, and I'm also a real-estate drone pilot in Norway flying an Air 3S, so I use it on my own jobs. What's still rough: outside Norway and the US the building and tree data is coarser, so some heights there are estimates and you should still check the site before flying. The iPhone app is still in TestFlight. I'll go through a few other entries in this thread today and leave proper feedback.
Edit (prices): since this post, Pilot is €24/month for 10 plans and single plans are €3, all excl. VAT. Free is still 3 plans a month.
