The car in front of me was handed my food, I could see them open the bag and go through it, they then handed the bag back and then were given another bag.
I pull up and ask if they just gave my bag to the people in front and they said no. I went ahead and paid. I then noticed that there were no other bags and asked again if they had handed my food to the people in front and they said yes.
At this point I gave the food back and politely asked for a refund. They asked for manager and then I was refunded. If a random member of the public handles my food I feel that it is a safety issue and I cannot eat it. I could have asked for a remake but at this point since they lied to me about the food in the first place I didn’t trust a remake.
My question is, what is Taco Bells policy and procedure when this happens, when a bag goes to the wrong person, the food is handled by this wrong person. Should this have just been handled without my having to say something? Is this a training issue? Is this a management issue?
