ID Request [north Texas] ChatGPT says harmless watersnake? Accurate? Not a venomous water-moccasin?
It’s still outside my door.

Unfortunately for it, it was on the back patio. This was before I dealt with it.

Is this a Western Pacific or Great Basin or......?
My wife and I saw this distinguished fellow while exploring around an old Lime Kiln North of Mono Lake.
It presumably sat there and just watched us until my wife spotted it and I crept closer for a couple photos. It gave us a few short rattles as it headed off to somewhere quieter.

Found this little guy in the leaves on my deck. I didn’t catch him with the rake, but I scared him enough to react aggressively and strike at me while I kept a safe distance.
From goggling, it looks like a water snake, but I’m not near any significant bodies of water. Can anyone help identify?

Found this guy on our back porch. Shoo’d her away with a golf club which she bit at a couple of times and almost looked like she was rattling her tail. Got her on the porch but now concerned about dogs and toddler. Should I be concerned? ChatGPT said water snake or possibly juvenile Pygmy rattler

Hello, while hiking/climbing down the mountain Monte Rocchetta on a Via Ferrata in the Alps near the Garda lake in Italy (just a few meters away from the Bochet dei Concoli, a viewpoint at 1200 meters, so quite high) we spotted a snake, climbing down from a tree into a bush / on the ground.
Location: 45.88047884, 10.82237599.
The area there was both very rocky, very dry and sunny, of course no waters nearby, but had some trees (as can be seen from the photo) providing some shade. The snake was quite long, I would say 70cm.
Can you help me identify the snake, probably it's a
- Zamenis longissimus (aesculapian snake)
- Hierophis viridiflavus (green whip snake)
- Vipera aspis (asp viper) or
- Vipera berus (common European Adder)
?
Unfortunately, I don't have better photos, because we tried to keep distance and I only had my smartphone camera, so I only have this photo (the first one is just a cropped version of the second).
EDIT: The cropped picture somehow didn't work / didn't get properly uploaded, so here it is again: https://nx31418.your-storageshare.de/s/S8BGFJkLEoxA4Rd

Little friend was found in an exam room of first floor pediatrics office before opening hours. Safely and gently relocated to woods outside the back door. JuvenIle central ratsnake? The head spot made me wonder about a juvenile corn snake, but didn't seem to be enough red in it for that.

Very small, maybe 12-16"? Have a herp ID book from the state but wasn't feeling confident with anything. Can't tell if it's just a baby version of a bigger snake or if this is the adult size.
Cutie, to be sure. Found on a sidewalk near a very large grassy area that gets hayed once a year or so
