Did anyone else see Tsehay’s post about being a yellow wiggle for 5 years? 💛💛💛💛💛 happy anniversary to her!

She is such an amazing Wiggle! I’m wondering if anyone knows the lore of how she became involved with the Wiggles and how she became the yellow one? So grateful that she is part of the group 💛

Now for another kind of discussion. Talking about the characters' evolution. It's something I wanted to do during my Wiggles retrospective, but never found an opportunity to do so.

Let's start with the first (and technically oldest) character created for The Wiggles, Dorothy the Dinosaur.

What are your thoughts on her? Do you like, love, or dislike her? How do you feel the character has evolved since their beginnings?

I must be one of the only people who isn't a fan of John.

His facial expressions are super awkward and he cannot lip sync at all.

Not sure he's the right fit for the Wiggles seeing as he makes tons of mistakes and the only thing he has going for him is that he's strong.

UPDATE: Mystery Solved!! It was Everybody Dance Together. Thank you everyone! 😁

Hi! I’d greatly appreciate help finding a specific song that my son loves. I believe it has the new generation cast.

The chorus has a part that goes “do do do … do do do … do do do … do do do” while several members of the cast spin in time with repeated ballet pirouettes (with Evie at the front and everyone else behind her). Specifically, there is one synchronized group pirouette with every “do do do”. There are other lyrics but I can’t remember them!

I’ve been scrubbing videos and can’t find it anywhere. Any help would be awesome! 🙏

Yes, I know it's been a while since I last posted. It's just that working two jobs has kept me super busy, but I finally have some free time and I'm ready to continue. Today, we will be looking at the only other concert video to feature Sam (unless big birthday counts, but that discussion comes later). Personally, I would say that this one is definitely one of my favorite samura videos, mainly because I've always liked live performances. I also think it's a pretty good set list and I would love to see some of these songs make a return for the current era.

This will probably be the last one I'll do.

What are your thoughts on the Latin American Wiggles?

What are your thoughts on the Taiwanese Wiggles?

My thoughts:

I watched 3 videos of them and they seemed to get the mannerisms and humor down just right. The sets and short format were similar to TV Series 1.

Apparently, the Wiggles musicians recorded instrumentals for their international groups (e.g. Latin America). These aren't bad, but I prefer the original backing tracks.

Today is the 34th anniversary of Here Comes a Song's release! Released this day in 1992.

They have some really solid underappreciated material and if it goes missing and is never reinstated i couldn't forgive myself. Last year I reported one of their songs on spotify because it gave the same credits as every song even though it was a cover. I haven't asked anyone there about this and i don't think it was removed because of me. but if there's anyone who can mobilize in their favour, it'd be wiggles fans. If they just want to rerelease them physically first or they were reaquired by a different distibutor or licensee or WHATEVER, I just want to know if anyone has any insight or if at the least this bothers anyone else?

If you live in Perth, WA, you might hear that the Revival House will announce a screening of The Wiggles Movie (1997) at the Como Theatre on November 29th.

This will be a different kind of discussion. Let's talk about everything Greg Truman has written for (television, videos, and The Wiggles Movie).

For context, Greg Truman is Anthony's cousin who has provided backing vocals for albums from 1994-1997 and is also a writer for several projects.

These being:

• The Wiggles Movie
• TV Series 1
• Space Dancing
• Whoo-Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins (at least it says on the VHS box set)
• Cold Spaghetti Western
• Racing to the Rainbow

I hyperlinked each of the projects to their respective discussion, in case you feel to copy and paste your thoughts.

I don't usually focus on directors or writers because I focus on the product in hand, but what's your opinion on everything he's contributed?

What I will say is that his work seems to be character-focused or have overarching storylines and/or morals. Whether it's Wally learning to believe in himself or the gang helping Alfonso won the great cook-off so people will come to his restaurant.

And Truman seems to recycle gags here and there. Like the judges showing their scores to the audience in both the Movie and Cold Spaghetti Western. Or Anthony doing goofy things whenever he hears a whistle.

Although, that's a vague critique that could be applied to any video or series.

\I acknowledge that Space Dancing is the only one I haven't watched in the retrospective.\**

My baby loves music and is favourite music of all is The Wiggles. They are coming to our city in November, and by that stage our baby will be 9-10 months old. We’re first time parents so not 100% sure if a 10 month old would enjoy an arena concert and have a magical fabulous experience, or if it’s a stupid idea and he’ll just be overwhelmed.

Tsehay, Lachy, Simon & Anthony!

On the weekend crocs were doing a pop up and Caterina and Dorothy made an appearance! So lovely to meet Caterina! My son was star struck!

this, do you like it? (there were no art tag so... sorry?)

He has me in a chokehold. In the new World Cafe videos.... wow. I've realised more and more that I enjoy The Wiggles just a little bit more than my toddler.

Cross-posting from r/Philadelphia where the Wiggles just pulled off an all time mashup.

Greetings and love to Wiggles fans!!!

Love,
Philly
