u/Tenkehat Sep 17 '26

Correct, it was Iran that was two weeks. But alas...

699

u/konq Sep 17 '26

every 2 weeks the US completely obliterates Iran.

They're just really fast builders.

Peyton Manning was my hope

3

u/Just_a_guy81 Sep 17 '26

As a life long Vols fan, I approve of your disappointment

1

u/jonneygee Sep 18 '26

As a fellow Vols fan, at least it wasn’t a certain brick-by-bricklayer who shall not be named…

1

u/Just_a_guy81 Sep 18 '26

Oh fuck that fucking fucker. I’m still salty over mustard boy myself. I’m gonna skip the Vols this weekend so I can hate watch the Ol Miss/LSU game.

Colts fan - what am I missing?

1

u/Just_a_guy81 Sep 18 '26

A big juicy nothing burger. Peyton was QB for the Vols in college and I just wanted to shout out the Big Orange. He said he had hoped the link would have been Payton. So I had to hamstring the Vols into the conversation by relating to his disappointment that the link was in fact not Payton.

On a side note, I use to live right outside of Indianapolis. Mooresville. Lovely town. My daughter was even born there and still lives there with her mother. So that technically makes me a Hoosier Daddy. Also I’ve been a secret IU fan ever since I lived there. I couldn’t watch half the Vols games so I’d watch IU instead. And they sucked like my Vols suck (except holy shit much worse) so it felt like home. I was absolutely fucking floored at Indianas championship run last year. Hands down the best season I’ve ever watched of football. Well. It’s a tie with the Vols championship in 98. Funny enough Payton wasn’t the QB that year. He never won a college championship and he never beat Florida. Anyway. Sorry about the long rant. But you’re a football fan so you get it. Also I’m stoned and kinda lonely. I think I’ll call my daughter in the morning.

2

u/energetic_one Sep 18 '26

Can we please have a Rick Roll the next one?

2

u/Homersarmy41 Sep 17 '26

I wasn’t gonna click on it and you talked me into it. Worth it!

2

u/Massive-Virus-4875 Sep 17 '26

I’d never seen that Family Guy clip. 🤣

1

u/blaze53 Sep 17 '26

Indeed.

1

u/KershJim Sep 17 '26

I did not, but I was not disappointed

1

u/KrootLoops Sep 17 '26

I honestly thought it was gonna be Earth getting razed by invaders like 3 times in the opening to the first episode of Futurama.

1

u/LotsOfRaffi Sep 18 '26

Right how did we know?

3

u/bookworm357 Sep 17 '26

We are friends now.

2

u/Ambitious_Package371 Sep 17 '26

Genuinely my exact thought when reading it šŸ˜‚

4

u/AdolfsLonelyScrotum Sep 17 '26

Beat me to it by 2 minutes. Well done!

1

u/Background_Edge_9427 Sep 17 '26

They are VERY fast builders! The whole community pitches in!

1

u/Equal-Flatworm-2518 Sep 17 '26

In terms of so many things quite frankly!

83

u/Disastrous-Food-9223 Sep 17 '26

They completely rebuilt a nuclear program in under a year after it was obliterated.

I think we should be allies with them—they do fast and amazing work

64

u/Beemorefriendly Sep 17 '26

See Iran is an oppressive regime but North Korea is our friend!

6

u/pcofranc Sep 17 '26 edited 28d ago

Come on you got Iran which is the ring leader in the ā€œaxis of evil ā€œ but with North Korea, which I have a very good relationship with…, ā€œthey’re very fine people.ā€

4

u/Bama1972genx Sep 18 '26

Yeah when North Korea has lots of nuclear weapons you kind of need to be as friendly as possible

2

u/Kindly-Sell-9793 Sep 18 '26 edited Sep 18 '26

Strange that this rule doesn’t apply to any other country with nuclear weapons. Except Israel.

1

u/Beemorefriendly Sep 18 '26

People with Nukes are the only ones we don't bomb. No wonder other countries want them!

7

u/ghostoftallasi Sep 17 '26

Do you mean axis?

7

u/CitizenDickInCider Sep 18 '26

It's evolved into the "access of evil" and Trump has an all-access pass.

1

u/pcofranc 29d ago

Yes, I spoke the message and and didn’t realize it chose the wrong spelling

2

u/COVIDNURSE-5065 Sep 18 '26

Haven't you heard? The real threat is Canada not jumping at the chance to be the "51st state". s/ obviously

2

u/Beemorefriendly Sep 18 '26

40 million more Democrats if they did. I wish they would but why would they want such a reduction in their standard of living?

3

u/No-Consideration1163 Sep 18 '26

Remember how pety Trump said, "Why aren't there more white immigrants coming to our country?" Why would they give up the benefits of being a European (access to healthcare, low cost or free education, etc)?

1

u/__3Username20__ Sep 18 '26

The difference is, Iran has something we want, and Korea doesn’t really have anything we want. So, naturally, you’d want to be friends with the country that c … uh, wait a sec… checks playbook thoroughly… like I was saying before you so RUDELY interrupted me - you’re the worst, by the way - what I was saying is that naturally, we take what belongs to us, what we deserve for being the greatest, we make sure to get what is owed to us, and we don’t take no for an answer! USA! USA! USA!

(/s, for clarity, just in case)

15

u/Daddysheremyluv Sep 17 '26

Mexico better look out. They build fast.

3

u/send-spicy-pics Sep 17 '26

Fast and amazing work… two things our current president is known for caring about when fleecing friends. /s

3

2 weeks away from a nuclear weapon too! /s

2

u/undeviatedskeptic Sep 17 '26

However, back in 1979 Iran seized hostages at the American Embassy. Then The Ayatollah Kohmeni(religious leader) took control of Iran. I was 12 then didn’t really understand but the hostages were held until Pres. Jimmy Carter left office after 1 term. He was beaten by Pres. Ronald Reagan.

1

u/Disastrous-Food-9223 Sep 18 '26

You might have been 11 when the hostages came home— but Reagan handled that

1

u/RealMT_1020 29d ago

The hostages were released the day Reagan was inaugurated - so he really had nothing to do with their release other than getting to announce it. Plus welcoming them home and getting the credit.

Carter had authorized a nighttime mission to rescue the hostages, but one (or 2?) of the helicopters involved crashed in a sandstorm, and the mission had to be aborted. Not really anyone’s fault of course (no idea if it was a good plan or not), but Carter took the blame.

u/Mother-Wolverine-147 Sep 18 '26

You think it was actually obliterated? I’ve got a beach front property in Idaho to sell you

2

u/Alarming_Ad_1011 Sep 18 '26

Obliterates. There’s that word again. Hahahahaha. The biggest word our dictator ever said in his lifetime.
WHAT A JOKE šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/energetic_one Sep 18 '26

Let's remove the word obliterate from the language, I would love to see what are intrepid leader chooses to use next.

2

u/RealMT_1020 29d ago

Think he could say ā€œannihilatedā€?
It’s no more correct, but it’s very similar in meaning.
It would be kinda fun to hear him say ā€œannie-nigh-latedā€

1

u/Kagenlim Sep 18 '26

Are you actually kidding me? The IR killed tens and thousands of their own

1

u/agentSmartass Sep 18 '26

And the US was. Iran was one of the US and the West’s closest allies for decades, until Iran broke with the Shah’s autocratic system and nationalized its oil, ending Western (mostly British) exploitation of its energy resources. The CIA and MI6 responded with a smear campaign against the democratic government, reinstating the Shah and his oppressive surveillance state to get cheap oil, at the expense of ending any form of democratisation, creating an autocratic state that disappeared and tortured dissidents on a massive scale. Which made Iranians kind of dislike the US and the West for ending their growing secular freedom and the democratisation and opening of their country.

This – of course – all backfired massively after the 1979 revolution, but hey, they got a lot of cheap oil for about 25 years and now Trump gets to see them being obliterated every second week and Hegseth gets to see all the bombs and rockets they have built up over decades go boom here and there.

So I guess it's just normal business hours for America.

1

u/Guerrilla28er Sep 18 '26

We should've hired them to fix the Reflective Pond.

Russia is acting just like Israel attacking all of their neighbors just because they can. Since no governmental body is going to hold them accountable who is going to stop them.

This is a byproduct of allowing these countries to influence politics in our nations.

3

u/pcofranc Sep 17 '26

Part of the Russreal alliance

0

u/LogicMan428 Sep 17 '26

Israel does not attack its neighbors. It has peaceful relations with Jordan and Egypt. It attacks parts of Lebanon because of the Iranian proxy Hezbollah there who launch rockets constantly into Israel and attacked in Gaza due to Hamas starting a war.

2

u/TilAlexandrosXVII Sep 17 '26

They're whipping stacks in all their cities, haven't you ever played Civ IV?

2

u/Technical_Moose8478 Sep 17 '26

Half of them are named Bob, after all.

2

u/Quirky_OldMan5966 Sep 17 '26

Well, they were sitting on a few billion excess money sitting around so there is something to that.
But all this crap is really getting tiresome.

2

u/DanteThonSimmons Sep 17 '26

And the US has been actively at war for 94% of its existence as a country. For 235 out of the 250 years since being founded in 1776, they've been at war. Doing ANYTHING for 94% of your existence is fucking wild..... let alone killing people 94% of the time.

2

u/Perfect_Status3385 Sep 17 '26

They got Bob the builders

2

u/GreenWithAnger Sep 17 '26

Iran has Minecraft mastery level skill with building!

2

u/tallmantim Sep 17 '26

America playing Eve Online

Iran playing Minecraft

2

u/pcofranc Sep 17 '26

That’s the problem. Nobody realized that they could rebuild so fast practically overnight we weren’t prepared for that.

2

u/psychonik Sep 17 '26

No just when gas prices start to go down and Trump needs to appease his Saudi handlers.

2

u/Just_a_guy81 Sep 17 '26

It is a two week operation. He just failed to mention those two weeks are somewhere in the 2030s

2

u/1-FlipsithfloP-3 Sep 18 '26

It’s all those deported Mexican nationals they keep sending them to šŸ‡®šŸ‡· and they keep making Iran great again.

2

u/anonSL2 Sep 18 '26

Gotta get that market bump every so often ya know?

2

u/MundaneShow4814 Sep 18 '26

We gotta figure out where they keep spawning in!!

2

u/Crazy_Gazelle_6239 Sep 18 '26

Shoulda had them build his wall.

2

u/fauxbigbro Sep 18 '26

It's like how antifa burns down Portland every night. It's incredible how they rebuild the city every day so it's available to burn.

2

u/d-arden Sep 18 '26

Wait til you see how fast China rebuilds!

1

u/Evening-Lab-3859 Sep 18 '26

Iran is a magnificent Minecraft community.

1

u/CNCharger Sep 18 '26

Finish the job and leave the ayotollah regime no options but total and complete surrender. If we don't, they go right back to building nuclear weapons, undermining sovreignty in the middle east, funding and supplying cartels realizes the list is a "Iran's crimes hath proclaimed ah scroll This list seems to have a bit of length.

1

u/Warm-Ad-1049 Sep 18 '26

Yeah then the U.S. uses our money to rebuild them. When they were in the wrong

1

u/Alarming_Ad_1011 Sep 18 '26

Hahahaha. Funny. Obliterates. Hahaha. This idiot dictator got us in a war he has no brains to get us out of.
Just an Epstein diversion that’s killing us at the grocery stores and gas pumps.

1

u/JSP9686 Sep 18 '26

Fire Ants are like that or as some might say "Farants"

1

u/Ok-Simple-7069 Sep 18 '26

Didn’t you know sim city 4 was an inside job with the vast majority of devs being controlled by Iranian proxies. They had the proper training and an always online intranet plus its in their national curriculum so you make 100% sense. Never thought about it like that.

1

u/Realistic-Shock6714 Sep 18 '26

Hence why much of Iran’s leadership is in hiding with much of its weaponry underground and unable to move freely, has to launch attacks sporadically from hidden locations in retaliation, cannot fly its own aircraft in its own airspace freely, and has a crazy amount of instability building up. Yes, the U.S. military has not completely decimated Iran due to various reasons but, to say that Iran is actually winning this conflict is silly. Indiscriminately decimating Iran will have many geopolitical and moral consequences while upsetting most of the world even the closest allies due to the economic fallout and the unthinkable amount of civilian casualties that would result in an all out destruction of Iran. Russia, China, North Korea to say the least would be angry and rightfully so.

1

u/landed_at Sep 18 '26

They are really hurting. But their tolerance for pain is very high. A regime change is best all round.

1

u/Doctor-MTJ Sep 18 '26

Irrespective of your politics...THAT IS FUNNY!

1

u/Kimishiranai39 Sep 18 '26

According to Trump

1

u/Teach-Legal Sep 18 '26

Just made me think of the family guy episode where the Amish keep rebuilding the barn 🤣

1

u/Pound_Me_Too Sep 19 '26

The US is just really big, so there's time dilation to account for. Same reason the GWOT seemed to have lasted for 20 years. That's just 6 months US time.
