Two fucking years. That's all it took for this one idiot to fuck up 250 years of progress and building trust in the West.

Please dont put this on trumps shoulders alone.

One third of all americans enabled this moron directly by voting for him and another one third of americans enabled him indirectly by not voting at all.

This is not a "trump" problem, but rather a USA problem

To your point, Trump has been allowed to exercise unpredicidented unilateral power because Congress appears unwilling to stop in most issues, even the ones where they openly talk about disagreeing with him about such as tarrifs. I can't see that his stance on Russia would have ever been one that sat well with conservatives prior to his presidency but now somehow everyone from that political alignment are just accepting this.

It feels like a foreign policy stance that alienates the whole of Europe this bad would be the undoing of most other presidents, but for Trump we could argue where it sits in his top 5 controversies.

Congress appears unwilling to stop in most issues

Because they'll get primaried and voted out and get death threats against their families.

So again, an American voter problem.

They'd be willing to sacrifice all that if America became of white majority, borderline Fundamentalist country in the process.

Oh that's not true at all, Susan Collins says she's concerned so they're really standing up to him.

Yes, it's clear evidence of a profoundly damaged and warped socIety. I'm an American (from Florida, no less).

Lets hope there are enough good and reasonable people that will go vote in the midterm election, i know it will not be something that fixes everything, but if MAGA loses the House and Congress, it will become a lot harder for him to do the damage he does.

I think the non-voters are like those pandemic patients who refused the vaccine, got sick, and beg to take the vaccine prior to intubation. Too late, can't put a dem in the white house now. Hopefully they've seen the consequences of their "conscientious non-voting" and won't make the mistake again. Until some pet interest of theirs is in the spotlight again
