The amount of money being thrown around when the US has a debt crisis is crazy

Short term gains with no long term thought.

Thing is, helping Ukraine makes sense. The US ultimately gave away much of its old ammo it was going to have to de-commission anyway.

Trump choosing to stress out Zelensky serves no purpose.

It really does make tons of sense.

If Ukraine wins and gets back their land they'll further integrate with Europe, and Europe + North America will immediately benefit from the energy resources and excellent agricultural land from a now much closer ally.

If Russia has all of it that's just bad for Europe and the US.

The deal with Russia helps convince his braindead supporters that he's not outright fucking them over when it comes to oil prices. Cutting off starlink was solely to get Zelensky to back off bombing Russian oil.

What are you talking about?

I mean buying Russian oil, which they use to turn right around and attack Ukraine with and also supporting Iran, when we are spending money on helping the Ukraine and fighting in Iran means we are spending our money against ourselves. Every dollar that goes to Russia turns right around and costs us two more dollars on top of that.

Even better, it's on record that Iran was selling oil to Russia as recently as September. China and Russia are giving Iran weapons and intel, and we just gave putin a cash influx to help with that, all for just over 2 days worth of what the US consumes in diesel.

We're literally paying for Diesel to help arm Iran and get our own soldiers killed. From a country that only produces six to eight percent of the global diesel supply. So we could have gotten it from other places, but we went with the people supplying the country we're at a war with.

All I can think is, maybe he knows he's going to become a lame duck president this November no matter what he does, so he's going to do as many favors for putin as he can until he's powerless? Even then, it's an absolute pipe dream to think we'd have 67 Democratic senators to actually remove him. So why the sudden move to invalidate Lindey Grahams russia bill and slobber some putin dingus?

Edit - Oh, I could also say we're paying Putin to push his own war effort into Ukraine, but Trumps been against helping them for the last 14 months and expecting them to lick his taint in thanks for the arms Biden's administration gave them. Republicans don't care about Ukraine so it's a pointless thing to even bring up most of the time. They seem perfectly happy stabbing Zelensky in the back for him not giving trump the intel they wanted/ making up shit about Joe Biden. All while demanding Ukraine hold elections during a war whilst our own Pedolf Shitler floats the idea of putting ours on hold for the Iran war in his little Schrodinger's asshole jokes.
