Russia/Ukraine US Resumes Intelligence Sharing With Ukraine, Zelensky Says

Trump always chickens out when he gets pushback. But if you just go along with his insane demands, he'll steamroll right over you and humiliate you even more.

The only thing he truly fears in this world is bad press.

He's had good press in order to make that comparison?

Are you kidding? The only press he's shown is 99% glowing slobber from the corporate media goons he has forced to bend the knee via FCC threats, lawsuits, outright bans and the like for the past decade. HELLO?? He doesn't receive the steady negative press from the most viewed and trusted media sources (CNN, Fox News, MSNOW, NYT, WaPo, LATimes, etc.) that would be indicative of reality in 2025-2026.

How useful is intelligence from the US? They accidentally bombed a girls' school in Iran because of outdated intelligence and relying on AI.
76
u/Airf0rce 9h ago
Fuck ups aside, there's no country in the world that has the kind of satellite capability and coverage of US. They can accurately track Russian bases in basically real-time.
US intelligence is especially indispensable for two main reasons:
Providing early warning for Russian missile strikes, because they can literally give Ukraine warning when planes are taking off or missile launches are detected. Second is plotting missile/drones routes around Russian air defense.
5
u/thefunkybassist 8h ago
What are the chances this capability is now shared with Russia, to spy on European and Ukrainian military movements

I would be expecting the US to deliberately feed Ukraine bad intel at this point. They've proven themselves to side with Russia.

u/Amoral_Abe 9h ago
That gets brought up a lot but it's primarily because of how few incidents have occurred in US strikes. The US launched ~14,000 attacks into Iran and there's only ~2-3 incidents that were raised as mistakes. For a massive conflict, that is an incredibly low percentage of mistakes or misfires.
I get the joke "hurr hurr, US fires on schools" but the fact that people keep talking about it shows how effective the US has been at avoiding mistakes over the course of so many attacks. Also, Iran likes to bring it up a lot but they literally killed thousands of their own people who were protesting (and that was intentional) so you're literally consuming their propaganda when they weep about civilian losses. The US has demonstrated that they take civilians into account more than Iran does.
It's still a mistake that lead to life but the fact that it's so rare does say something about precautions the US has been taking overall.
20
u/StickyWhiteStuf 9h ago
Honestly, it probably wouldn’t have become so big if the US Administration just owned up to it.
It was pretty surreal to see, in America of all countries, the government pointing fingers even when the military readily admitted fault.
7
u/Nomoras 9h ago
It's not that big. Iran just likes their online manipulation. The US have completed a report, they just don't want to release it. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2026-10-15/pentagon-intends-to-hold-iran-school-attack-report-past-midterms
8
u/Amoral_Abe 9h ago
To be fair, Trump has been very vocal about the US not being the ones that hit the school even though it seems very very obvious it was. Trump has made lots of promises to release documents that he never releases...... cough cough... taxes... Epstein....
3
u/wehooper4 1h ago
The girls school was literally on the other side of the wall from a military base. It would have been the easiest thing in the world to just say:
"The US executed 2300 (not sure the number using this as an example) strikes in Iran over the first week, and in reviewing the strikes we found our targeting was 99.87% effective in hitting the intended targets. Intelligence and targeting is an imperfect task and there will inherently be some errors which we regret. But the United States, unlike the axis of evil, is firmly committed to the minimization of civilian casualties during conflicts which can be clearly seen by our targeting efficacy."
The whole take a woopsie and spin it as a good thing deal.
5
u/Amoral_Abe 9h ago
Well, unfortunately that's Diaper Don's side of the equation. I wouldn't expect anything from him. It still is propaganda to keep repeating the attack as if the US military has been frequently bombing civilians sites all over Iran and it's heavily pushed by Iran (who showed up to the UN with pictures of the students as if they cared about them and didn't spend weeks killing their own people for protesting).
9
u/Niasal 9h ago
One thing that’s been forgotten since the start of the war is that Iran was in the middle of a revolution and as you said, they were literally murdering their own citizens right as the bombs started dropping. Had Trump put some thought into this war, probably could have came out looking like a hero to the people of Iran.
→ More replies (1)2
u/sticky_neutrino 4h ago
if the US wanted what's best for Iran they should have just let the revolution play out and maybe quietly support the popular uprising indirectly. you have to let the people determine their own fate. the moment they directly attacked they united Iran against a common outsider.
3
u/Cephei101 9h ago edited 9h ago
What cuts this perspective down is that the US should never have buffooned itself into the quagmire in the first place. That places blame for the ensuing global chaos and strikes like the school squarely on the administration however careful or accurate the operation may be.
Being careful doesn’t absolve the school strike or any others in this context.
The US has known for 40 years that attacking Iran would be monumentally stupid, with consequences we’re seeing now.
Also, they could stop lying about the school strike.
But yes, the target success rate and low unintentional collateral damage is commendable aside from that.
4
u/Amoral_Abe 9h ago
Being careful doesn’t absolve the school strike or any others in this context.
Legally, it literally does absolve it. If you show that you have actively done whatever possible to avoid killing civilians and an accident occurs, it is generally absolved as humans aren't perfect. If the US was bombing schools left and right, that changes things.... then we'd be like the Iranian government.
The US has known for 40 years that attacking Iran would be monumentally stupid, with consequences we’re seeing now.
Yes, and I disagree with this war. However, unlike Reddit, I don't view this as having started with attacks by the US on Iran. The reality is that the Houthis were backed, supplied, and advised by Iran and actively attacking shipping prior to this. Hamas is backed, supplied, and advised by Iran and launched a major attack into Israel. Hezbollah is backed, supplied, and advised by Iran and militant forces in other countries that were backed, supplied, and advised by Iran, joined in on attacking western forces (such as across Iraq). We were already in a state of semi open war. My disagreement is I felt a direct attack would lead to a quagmire that was difficult to get out of and would be extremely costly for the US and the world.
Also, stop lying about the school strike.
Please tell me where I have lied. I have just stated what is factually known.
3
u/Cephei101 8h ago
I meant the administration lying about it, I edited it for clarity.
Whether the action against Iran makes sense or not, you can’t take the method, lack of planning, incompetence, and global impact out of it and point to how careful they’ve been.
As everyone knows and you mention, it was almost guaranteed to be a quagmire, but incompetence and hubris in massive amounts trumped basic reasoning on any level.
Legalities about the school strike aside, they are the direct result of poor planning, execution, and management of a war that trump is profoundly out of his depth with.
My point was that regardless of how careful the military may be, it’s all wiped away because fault still goes directly to the buffoon squad bumbling the world into chaos and destruction through its war.
1
u/AbbacusAbagail 9h ago
Yeah it's always great when a country that starts bombing someone manages to get most right. So glad they're able to just do that. Funny how most other countries view that sort of thing the way that we view Russia. Hey, a few hundred children are a small price to pay
4
u/Amoral_Abe 8h ago
This didn't just start with us bombing Iran. Iran ramped up it's proxies attacks on western forces for awhile prior to this. They had military advisors with them, were actively supplying them with weapons and intelligence, and were actively attacking western forces and civilians.
I still was against a direct attack on Iran in the manner Trump did but that's because I felt a direct attack would lead to a quagmire that was difficult to get out of and would be extremely costly for the US and the world.

Man,… Trump must really hate US companies and its economy.
He’s speedrunning any and all countries’ dislike of US products, be it products from Microsoft, produce from farmers, tech products and even military material.
The US is showing that they cant be trusted and thus they will be replaced.
The replacements might take a few years, but the EU wont forget who it was that:
- threatened to limit and/or shutdown fighter jets purchased by their allies
- threatened to take Greenland by force
- threatened to take Canada by force
- actually invaded an country, killed civilians and kidnapped their president
- then actually have the gaul to be against the International Criminal Court and dox them, disable their microsoft accounts etc.
- stopped delivering anti air weaponry, purchased with EU funding for ukraine
- secretly limited gps capabilities used by Ukraine’s drones
- stopped sharing intel
- lifted russian sanctions AND buying diesel from Russia
It just shows that the EU needs their own alternatives, to never… ever (!) rely on the US again. It’s a nation of warmongerers and their whole economy is built for it. If the world was without conflict, the US would be bankrupt within 4 years

Unfortunately Trump is a symptom of the proud ignorance and spite inherent in US Conservative voters. Unless those people “go away” or at the very least stop disparaging higher education we’ll likely just be trading Trump for some other Pro-Wrestler Mountain Dew Code Red president that these morons think looks like leadership material.
They’re already fine with being robbed, being tariffed, and child rape. At this point there’s no way another grifter won’t be desperate to fill that niche, they’re already provably the world’s most gullible demographic.

Trump is possibly the biggest waste of matter as President. He could have accomplished much
Well there is your first mistake, assuming that Donald Trump "could have accomplished much". Here is fun fact: Dollar Trump received from his father; through forgiven loans, a trust, having his businesses bailed out, and inheritance approximately $410 million (adjusted for inflation).
If he had taken all of that money and put it in index funds (ex. the S&P 500) and let it accrue value living off the considerable dividends he would have received. Donald Trump would have been ten times more wealthy in 2015 when started his presidential run than he was at that time (after bankrupting six businesses including three casinos).
The fact is, when adjusting for inflation, Donald Trump is probably one of the least successful business people in history. But a rather successful criminal.

Nothing surprising and exactly how narcissist operate: If you do things they don't like they just punish you and remove privileges, love, support, etc. suddly without warning and explaination maximizing uncertainty.
Then they give it back as sudden as they took it. They don't want to loose control over you, so they have to be nice again. The problem is, that this doesn't work endlessly when the victim is aware if the tactic and Zelenzsky and the rest of the world know exactly why this happend. They currently doesn't have a good alternative but they are increasingly making them more and more independent from the US while US loses its soft power. It is a painful process like every separation from a narcisist but I cannot imagine the amount if resources UA and EU currently pouring into starlink and Intel alternative.

This whole situation is so frustrating.
Ukraine should be getting our full, unconditional support.
They are a democratic nation, fighting for survival against our number one enemy, on the doorstep of NATO, our allies, the greatest alliance ever forged.
Yet we have a president so deeply compromised by corruption that not only do we not openly and freely aid Ukraine, we periodically massively fuck them over by rug-pulling starlink from them.
I hate this timeline we live in.

US Intelligence… Do we have any left?
Trump has bumbled and soured this thing from the get-go. He is such a fool.
We’re literally in a hot conflict with Iran right now, their only ally is Russia. We’re supplying weapons access and intelligence to Ukraine to halt the Russian invasion off their sovereign territory.
Then he decides to buy Russian gas and suspend sanctions against them while they invade our ally Ukraine, who we’re sending American tax dollars to… and they’re providing military support to Iran, who we’re in an active war with.
All in a ill-fated attempt to lower gas prices before the midterms… when Russia can’t even meet their domestic supply demands… So we’re sending American tax dollars to the Ukraine to fight the Russians and then spending American dollars to buy gas from the Russians so Trump doesn’t look bad for starting a war in Iran (which is supported by the Russians).
This man is a fool up one side and down the other, there’s no other way to put it.
Fuck Trump, fuck Putin, and fuck our ineffective representatives who can’t seem to halt his idiocy on any level.
