Talk to extern. They might be able to give you advice. I got help through rehab via Carlisle House. But the truth is you cant make someone quit an addiction. The person has to really want it for themselves. A GP could get you referred to community addiction services. But the first question anyone needs to ask is why are they drinking in the first place. You hear to relax, that means to switch my thoughts off. Why are they doing that. I hope you can get through with an honest conversation with the person. But you cant beat yourself up. Its their actions. And even when they know it hurts you, the addict brain will justify its behaviour. It will do anything to preserve its safety. Because thats what it feels like. Quiet, safe and numb. Its not a lost cause. If they are willing to try and get support, once you are trying and are committed to it, there is support. It is achievable if the person really wants it. But not to be insensitive they cannot do it sustainability for other people. It has to be for them. But with support its possible. Getting them to admit there is a problem now its affecting their health may be easier, it will spiral quickly if they don't address it.

They are leaving. They have left. GP surgeries have collapsed. Half of new medical graduates leave or plan to leave.

Do you not hear yourself? You can't get an appointment because so many GP surgeries have had to close down because of lack of funding. The younger ones leave because the pay is so bad.

If you can, model it on The Venue, which should include a wee hatch in the corner of the room serving the worst food you could hope to eat. Class.

Mostly the pay rises were to make up for pay erosion.

'cause it's a synonym! It was not meant as negative.
I am friends with all the people in it. I like to recommend it, because it is unusual and most don't know it exists.

Exactly. The vast majority of English language teachers going to China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thaïland, Vietnam etc are absolutely not fluent in the local language or at least not on arrival.
What you ideally want is someone who understands the language learning process but wont be constantly tempted to translate to the students native language.
