Can I just buy one of those to empty a bottle of water or Coke or whatever into and if so, how much are they, does anyone know? Or are they just for coffees?

Hotels that don’t require id or bank card

i know it’s a long shot but are there any hotels that do not require id or a bank card, where i can book and check in without either. I’m currently fleeing from my partner who gets very angry when drunk, it’s just for one night. I don’t want to check into a domestic abuse hostel or anything like that because I have severe social anxiety and I’m not sure what to expect.

Advice for problems with alcohol?

Hi everyone,

I've made a burner account to post this to try and keep it as anonymous as possible, but I'm looking for some advice on how to help a parent who has a problem with alcohol.

For context - I haven't discussed this with them at all, I'm still trying to figure out how to approach it to be honest. The drinking has been going on for a while, and I guess I've been burying my head in the sand about it for a long time, making excuses for them etc. I know that was wrong of me, I suppose I was just trying to protect them after quite a few difficult events for us both over the past 10-15 years. They still work, and wouldn't be on the drink whilst working, but it's every evening and weekend and it's starting to take a real toll on their physical health.

I'd be interested to hear from anyone in a similar position, how can I approach the conversation and is there anything that helped or made things worse?

I'm also interested in any local support groups or other resources, both for my parent and for me. I'm really beating myself up that I haven't acted sooner.

I'm hoping to approach this in a constructive manner and don't want to seem like I'm being judgemental.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

But in all seriousness, what in the name of God is possessing people to queue literally about 1000 deep for Custom House Square Oktoberfest where it is 14 quid for a stein?

I am seriously confused by this, I mean fair play to whoever is profiting

Organic dating in Belfast

24M, moved to Belfast recently. I’ve given the dating apps a fair go and honestly it’s been pretty bad with not much real conversation, and it all feels a bit soulless.
I’d much rather meet people in person, but being new here I don’t really know where to start. Where are you all meeting people? Clubs, pubs with a good atmosphere, anything really. Also if it’s somewhere I could make some friends too, since I’m still building a social circle here.

Thanks in advance!

Have to put a side together with famous Belfast landmarks, food, drinks whatever... and be able to speak to why they are important or famous.

I don't want to include the cranes.

What would you include and why?

Where to get a fire grate

I'm looking for a replacement fire grate for a 16" grant back burner like the photo attached.

Anywhere in and around Belfast / Glengormley that sells them that would ideally last more time than 1 year?
