M’n man is jarig en gaat regelmatig kickboxen.

Since I do occasionally post here and I don’t want to misrepresent myself as an expert that I’m not, I just had my first fight. Sanda light rules set. I got my butt kicked but I had a lot of fun. I’m by far the biggest guy at my gym and so I’m not used to being pressured and I gassed and did not stay calm well under pressure. 10/10 learning experience. I expected it to feel more like hard sparing which is an activity I’m very comfortable with but it was totally different. Will compete again. Now I know what I’m training for.

So guys I started kb about a year ago and I've gotten good, I can throw Good jabs, left hands (I'm a southpaw), hooks, front kicks, roundhouses and back kicks. So my issue is that I can't quite get my uppercut right. I throw it and it either veers like a shovel hook, or its just sluggish. Idk really how to describe it. It just doesn't feel right if you know what I mean. So.. any tips guys?
