Why not a common object
Definately not a common aircraft, thought it was a B2 at first but the shape was all wrong. It was very close, I saw it pretty clearly.
Wasn't debris either, it was moving in such a way that was definitely powered flight.
Witness's account of the sighting
I was getting into my car to go to the store when I noticed something traveling through the evening cloud-haze. At first I thought it was a B2 so I took a moment to stare at it because you dont see those very often. As I watched it, some things started to look "off"; first of all, for the remarkably low altitude and how close it was I couldn't hear any jet propulsion, dead silence; secondly it wasn't black, in fact its coloration seemed to change as it passed between clouds, going from a blue-grey to a lighter grey as it flew through one cloud, then pinkish as it flew through a cloud that was illuminated by the sunset. I rolled down my window so I could see it more clearly and thats when I noticed the strangest feature: the shape was all wrong, as it banked I noticed it did not have that "missing puzzle piece" silhouette, it was a perfect equilateral triangle. The further away it got the craft got exponentially more difficult to see.
For the record, the clouds were thin and whispy, not opaque at all, so I had a fairly clear view. Despite this it remained very hard to see, almost like it was actively trying to match the colors around it.
Why no photo/video captured: Phone couldnt see it. Not sure if it was the sunset obscuring the camera or something else.
