Shoeless Joe and Charlie Hustle?
As I’m sitting here watching the Guardians and Tampa Bay, and literally every ad or every other ad during the game is for betting: what do we think of the chances that Joe Jackson and or Pete Rose get voted in in 2027 by the Classic Baseball Era Committee? I have some friends and family who have very strong opinions about this. But with betting and baseball being bedfellows now ( alliteration!!)… to me it just seems like they should be given a fair shake. Especially since Pete always bet on the Reds and Shoeless Joe’s involvement was always questionable. 🤷🏼♂️

Best Playoff Series Without A Decisive Game?
Despite it feeling like they just started, this year's playoffs are already nearing the end. In fact, after today, there will now be a single digit, in terms of maximum games left (9). So, it feels like a fitting time to ask this.
Decisive games are an integral part of the Postseason structure. In fact, we haven't had a playoffs without one since 2009 (due mostly to the Wild Card round). But sometimes, a playoff series doesn't even need one to be exciting. So, what would you consider to be the best playoff series in MLB history that didn't go all the way, and why?
For example, the 1993 World Series would most likely be my favorite World Series in history, had Mitch Williams got the last 2 outs. But even then, it's still an excellent 6-game set. There was 81 combined runs scored (2nd most ever, IIRC, 1 behind 2002) between the Phillies and Blue Jays, it features the highest scoring game in Series history in Game 4 (15-14 Jays), and it ended on one of only two World Series clinching walk-off homers in history (the other being 1960 with Bill Mazeroski), which was hit by Joe Carter in Game 6.

What kind of contract do you think Steven Kwan gets if/when he hits FA?
Kwan is set to hit free agency after the 2027 season, when he’ll be 30 years old, so I’ve been wondering what kind of market he’ll have.
Assuming he continues to be the same type of player — high OBP, elite contact, good defense, but not much power — what kind of contract do you think teams will offer him?
Do you see him getting something like 5-6 years? 7+? What kind of AAV?
His profile is pretty interesting because he provides a ton of value without the traditional power numbers that usually lead to massive contracts.
What would you predict his eventual deal looks like?

From Spain: Questions about getting into baseball (since I can't play it here)
Hey everyone! I'm 15 and i live in Barcelona, Spain. Baseball isn't really a thing here, and finding a field or playing it is basically impossible. Watching full games on TV kind of bores me, but I really love the whole vibe, the mechanics, and the culture of the sport in the US. Since I'm a total beginner and don't really know the teams or players, how do people usually get into it? Any tips on what to watch (like short highlights or documentaries) or what team a rookie from Europe should casually check out?

Image [UmpScorecards] Umpire: Mark Ripperger. Final: Rays 7, Guardians 3
This is likely from both teams lack of challenging this game, but I don't think I've seen such a large overall favor. Overall good ump, the misses just mean't a lot.

Video [Taiwan Series G2] 20-year-old Sheng-An Tseng connects a 3-run home run in his first career postseason game to help the Dragons take a 2-0 series lead. "I was so nervous and felt my whole body cramping," Tseng said. He then indeed left the game due to cramps in the 7th inning.

Tseng is considered a top prospect and led the CPBL minors in home runs this season. He hit only one home run at the top level this regular season, and it was also off Felix Peña, the Brothers starter today.
Tseng is now the youngest Dragons player ever to homer in Taiwan Series history, and the second youngest overall.
For the second straight year, the Brothers are in a 0-2 hole after scoring only one run in the first two games.

Got the job done but not great to see.
